This was a lot of fun to test and nearly froze my fingers off to boot! The drone footage should have been a bit higher resolution as I simply missed a configuration, so my fault, but after you're so cold you stop thinking what you're doing and start thinking how you can be finished. I'll get it right next time, lol. The Anker adapter is here BTW: amzn.to/347X7YY

Thanks for the question! On the app, there's a little "eyeball" looking icon in the upper right corner. th-cam.com/video/2rRktswPOeY/w-d-xo.html and if you click that it removes the OSD from the screen. Good Flying!
@@AlienDrones How do you get HDMI output without smart controller - when you're using the standard controller connected to your phone, there is no port for the Anker dongle? I'm using a DJI Mini SE and soon Mini 3 Pro? It seems the only way to get video out when using a phone connected controller that uses the phones USB port is via apps on the phone that streams to another device wirelessly - any recommendations apart from Samsung Smartview?
@@safanza Yup, if there's no wired port left, have to use wireless with a screen share of some sort, there's a bunch of apps like _mirror to_ , _screen mirroring app_ , etc. I've not used them but mirroring to another device (like a tablet) then connecting that device to the YoloBox input should be pretty straightforward...
Great intro to the product. I cannot believe new videographers don’t need this product! Is price the issue for new users? Seems like it would suit a variety of “action/outdoor” channels!
Wow, that's one highly capable unit! If one could take it back 20 years it would be worth a ton of 💰 That is going to serve you well in your video production.
@@DisplayproLiveStream Do a screen mirror to another device, then output that device via hardwire, Samsung has a share called SmartView which will do this, or run the USB video into a USB splitter out of the remote, then one output to your phone, the other into the Yolobox.
Many of the remotes I tried have a mode which eliminates all the icons/telemetry info so the image is completely clean... In retrospect I should have shown that in the video.

My drone dji mini 3 pro, can i use yollobox? Thx

Not in my budget right now, but a very cool device. Thanks for featuring it.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
With dji fpv or mini 2 the phone has to be connected to the controller any way around that all I can think of is using google chrome and screen share
Indeed, with a Samsung you can use "Smart View" and it will mirror the screen to another device, NP...
Is it possible to send a clean hmdi output from the phone to the Yolobox? Thank you
Yup, showed how I did this when I connected the drone display on my phone to the YoloBox...
Hi Keith how do you remove the OSD to get a clean feed into the Yolobox, thanks for the video :)

@@AlienDrones thanks 😊
Will it still work if you don't have a DJI smart controller, or is that a requirement for DJI drones?
No smart controller required!

That's a good question! It's not inexpensive so I imagine this is a consideration but it is a really powerful device... 😎
Can a dji drone connect via wifi?
No Wifi, but you can screen share with another device. With a Samsung you can use "Smart View" and it will mirror the screen to another device, NP...
Great content! YBP user for a few months and love how easily it works with my drone!
It is really intuitive and works pretty well!
Enjoy the week really good review
My pleasure!

Pretty powerful and intuitive for sure!
Does this work for tiktok live?
Yes, it is configured as a RTMP
Very intuitive, thanks
My pleasure, glad it was helpful!
This is a great review from a person who just fell in love with Yolo box pro. 👏👏👏👏
Thanks for the kind words and taking the time to comment! It is a pretty powerful and intuitive device for sure.... 😎
How do you connect your phone to a DJI remote via wifi? Is it even possible?
In this case perhaps either connect hardwire with a longer cable or use a screen mirror app and send the image to another device.
@@AlienDrones can’t do hardwired as then the phone is connected to the remote and the remote doesn’t have hdmi out 😔

Awesome piece of equipment Keith. Wow, I think it makes things a lot easier to do some streaming. I like that. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching! The tech has come a long way for sure...
Very cool!!
Thanks!
Problem with that is: all those on-screen icons from the smartphone's drone video will also be displayed on Yolobox video source.
