Nolan could've just took over the world like the how he did to the Flaxan homeplanet, but he didn't, he instead became superhero and start a family.
I don’t think Nolan was lying during that eulogy. He didn’t want to kill the guardians. Many of them were his friends. He killed them because he felt that he had to
He is a Viltrumite. That beating is basic education for them. Also, he didn't like killing the guardians, it is easy to see. It was a mission and he was a soldier. A good soldier doesn't think, just do what he is told to do.

The amount of range he showed over 1 season was _amazing,_ I was a solid fan by we hit the final episode. As soon as I heard he'd be voicing the lead for Invincible, I was instantly onboard!

I love how much you can tell Mark desperately wants his dad back, but he knows what Omni-Man did was irredeemable and for the sake of himself, his mom, and all of the people Nolan took away he refuses to take the easy way out and play nice with him.
Considering Nolan beat Mark into a bloody pulp and dropped all of that onto him, Mark handled this situation very well. Although, Nolan needs some improvement.
Wouldn’t have helped matters if he did. At best: he’d push Mark even further away than he already as. At worst: he’d have taken away his best chance at beating the Viltrumite soldiers that were on their way.

I like Nolan here never once asked him to stop being cold or giving him all the hateful remarks. He knows he deserves every bit of it and probably way more after what he did. Instead he just asks him to help the people around him.
1:49 I think I know why Omni man didn’t say anything here. Although this part of the scene makes him look like he isn’t sorry, there’s plenty of evidence that came beforehand that he is. So I believe that when mark says this, Nolan thinks about saying sorry but then realizes something: he realizes that he’d be apologizing for doing what he was raised to do. He’d be apologizing for something that throughout his entire life was his sole purpose as a warrior, and he’d be basically admitting that the majority of his life until he came to earth was completely meaningless. And that destroys him inside, which is why he can’t say anything. It’s only when he sees the thraxans corpses that a breakthrough is made, and he realizes he can’t keep these feelings to himself anymore. (Or maybe I’m just reaching, idk)

Mark is such a good person. Rather than him saying to his dad all that he put him through which is totally justified he said all the terrible things he did and said to others like the people of Chicago and his mom. His first thought wasn’t remotely about himself
Nolan is over 2000 years old. Mark and even myself, didn't understand how cold his heart is. But then, I realized, its like becoming an athiest but over the span of 20+ years and that last year hits hard before you finally accept it (Nolan missing his wife). Took me about 6 months to rid religion indoctrination from my mind. Nolan is slowly becoming "emotionally human"... best way I can put it.
The writing for this scene confused me. Omni man was dead set on killing most of earth to subdue it, with seemingly no emotion. And then it’s this weird reunion where the son’s only concern is him calling mom a pet and Omni man suddenly being remorseful? Just doesn’t really add up. I just think there’d be a lot more to unpack (impossibly so) for Mark and Nolan besides what was discussed here lol.
Check the comics out (issue #25 -27 I think), you’ll see that they took out a lot of the initial dialogue between the two. I watched the tv show first then read the comics & Nolan’s remorsefulness is more acceptable. Seems like they didn’t want him too soft in the tv show.
Given how Mark ended up going toe-to-toe with one of the other two soldiers, a seasoned Viltrimute as old as Nolan and almost killed her, if he and Omni Man had gone at it here without holding back he'd still lose but they would've absolutely wrecked the entire planet.

What religion were you
@@GhHhiu Protestant
So Omni man Anhilates the Flaxans and Saves the Thraxans. Hmmm sounds poetic
i mean omni-man will live 1000 yrs, from his pov he cant just stick to one family forever
