When he says it was Batman, Deadshot's smile disappears instantly. He's hit with the realization that there are versions of Batman that do kill people, and they are good at it... Likely even more so than he is.
Batman got lucky. Zoom SHOULD have been able to avoid or even phase through it.

I like how Zoom isn't even mad at Thomas Wayne Batman. He's all like I tried to have his world destroyed, I had it coming.
Also, deadshot's grin changed when he said it was batman...
@Red X
It was Thomas Wayne Batman.
He is from the universe where Bruce died.
He kills everyone.
And the Joker is Bruce's mother.
I mean he is a villain not a meanie.
@Red X idfk she just killed him then had the iconic bloody smile
@Red X you'd understand (not likely) if you watch fash point paradox
I love the shot of Batman just standing behind him with the gun in hand. You could tell even in The Flashpoint Paradox that Thomas Wayne’s Batman was a badass
Bruce got it from him after all
But we all know Thomas Wayne's Batman killed Reverse Flash because Reverse Flash was in the way of his son being allowed to live, which is what he wants more than anything. It doesn't matter to him if he doesn't see his son grow up, it only matters to him that he lives.
I also love the parallels of Deadshots face through his bullet hole. Since he was the one who shot him back to the moment Batman killed him
I love that his perception of speed forced him to feel the bullet traveling through him. Great detail
That’s actually why when written faithfully the flash literally can’t be shot. He would feel the bullets force before it hit him and he could grab it or move out of the way.
But your brain can't feel itself being touched and it also does not feel pain
@@Benjamslikestrains your skull and skin can though.

@@HollywoodExileYeah, the thing about catching speedsters by surprise is that surprise means a completely different thing to a person who can do a million different things in a split second.
For a normal person, being surprised is like your dinner burning and they have to run to turn the stove off.
For a speedster, that'd be like... "Oh no, I forgot to schedule to bring an umbrella for a rainy day two months from now. "
So yeah, you'd need a quadruple double backflip helix feint to actually surprise a speedster, given the ungodly amount of time their speed gives them to react.
Deadshot: "Were you killed?"
Reverse Flash: "Sadly...yes."
**Everybody gasps**
Reverse Flash: "But I lived!"

Honestly slowing down those seconds of near death to weeks-months was the smartest loophole I’ve ever seen.
0:37
In which he didn’t immediately rush to a lazarus pit and instead opted for this extremely simplistic alternative
@@mihneaiordan1813 lazarus pit can cause insanity though.
But how the hell did Zoom get back to the original timeline... in the alternate timeline, Batman (Thomas Wayne) shoots him in the head and Zoom falls to the ground. Flash then creates a second flashpoint and prevents himself from changing the past. So how did Zoom get back to the original timeline?
The only way he could get back is if he traveled back in time after Flash had already left (speedsters can't travel back in time if there is a second speedster). But by the time Flash had created the second flashpoint, Batman (Thomas Wayne) and the entire city was already disintegrated by the explosion. And even if Zoom was able to somehow escape the explosion and travel back in time, he would have re-entered his original body, like Flash did when he woke up in front of his work computer at the police station, with no evidence of the beating he took in the alternate timeline's war.
There are tons of holes in this loophole.
@@disrupt94 i think he wouldn’t have enough time to find it
I like Deadshot's smile faded away instantly when Zoom said it was Batman.Imagine what Deadshot was thinking when he found out Batman was now probably willing to kill.
Deadshot has no way to know it was Batman's *father* who killed him, but it works out great for Batman because now Deadshot knows he HAS to fear Batman.
My biggest question is why doesn’t zoom just bolt out of that place the moment he gets the card? Yes I know he only has a limited amount of speed left and if he uses it all then he dies, but he had to have had a tiny pinch of speed force left in him after pulling out the card or else he would have just died right then and there after pulling it out. His end goal is to make sure he’s holding the card when he dies to make sure he gets into heaven. So if he just put the card in his suit and used the last of his speed to run even a few city blocks then he will die as soon as he’s empty, the card will work on him, and none of the others could do anything about it because by the time they get to his body he will have already used the card and BOOM mission accomplished.
But no he just mocks vandal savage and stares at killer frost freezing his henchman .
It’s almost like that hole in his head was finally getting to him
@@smogblazer4509 because it’s gonna happen ether way. That’s why he’s getting the “get out of hell free” card. So he can go to heaven because he knows for sure without it he’d go straight to hell. And with everyone else trying to get the card, I feel like he should have known to use it while he could.
Though he’s good at hiding it, he’s barely functional at this point, basically out of Speed Force fumes. His thoughts are clouded enough that he just didn’t think of it.
Mans is missing more than just a chunk of his brain, and you're wondering why he wasn't thinking clearly?
He’s a narcissist and a coward. He’ll put off the inevitable as long as possible
Plot twist: The card was actually a Walmart gift card.
Plot twist to the plot twist: it was already redeemed.
The card was useless anyway, if any of them used it they'd just squander the opportunity and end up back in hell.
I'd recommend reading the Secret Six story this is ripped off from.
In the comic it was noted that yes, the card was legit. Because the hope it could offer one person was nothing compared to the suffering of every other person that failed to get it, and the card being real just made all that better. Plus as mentioned they figured anybody who did what was needed to get it would still be going back next time anyway.
Plot twist to the plot twist to the plot twist: there’s no plot twist

Thawne will never understand how far a father would go to ensure his dead son has a chance to live
C. Thomas Howell is my favorite voice actor for the role of Reverse Flash. I think he captured Thawne’s cold and calculating personality very well. I also like that this version of Reverse Flash rarely raises his voice when he’s angry. Plus if Young Justice gets a fifth season, I would like to see the Reverse Flash make an appearance with C. @@Ok-eg4bi they are the same character
@@Ok-eg4bi Reverse Flash is the name of several characters. The original was named The Rival. I think his real name was Edward Clariss? Next we have this one, Eobard Thawne, aka Professor Zoom. After him was Hunter Zolomon or just Zoom. The last one just went by Reverse Flash and his name was Daniel West. Since Hunter Zolomon isn't in this series, just calling Thawne "Zoom" works.
so he's basically living in the second before death. Only comic books could have sense of this.
Actually, that was sort of the entire plot of 12 Oz. Mouse.
The entire show was just one single paused moment where the guys running the simulation had complete control, because the moment before didn't matter, and it didn't affect the moment after. You could destroy the entire world, then just press 'play' and things would continue how they were supposed to.
I thought that was kind of cool. That's why in the first episode 'Hired,' Fitz decides to disobey his boss when he notices that the clock hasn't moved and that his reality no longer makes sense.
zoom is in a state of lifeless continuation which is similar to a cockroach without its head or a decapitated snake head. biologically he is dead but the speed force is keeping the chemical reactions sustained, not undead but somewhere between living and UD
Gerald Weir woah 12oz mouse actually has a plot and you understand it you deserve some genius awards for that like the Nobel Prize and the Fields metal for figuring that out because I always figured the whole show was just nonsense.
Also, Doctor Who.
Japanese anime has entered the chat.
Honestly not surprised Killer Frost betrayed him right then, he literally just showed that he was at deaths door and barely had any speed force left, meaning the only thing he had left to offer was the card and it was clear he intended it for himself, there was only two ways frost was getting out of this ahead, 1 she gets the card herself,
2.she gets the card and then returns to the team saying she only betrayed the team because the only other option was to die from reverse flash(plus without her could powers and his speed there would have been no way any of them could have gotten the card away from Savage with its powers still intact.
I've never watched this nor do I know who he is exactly, but let's just give a moment of silence for Copperhead.
That was brutal. Copper head didn’t deserve that, he was doing his best to complete the mission.
Amanda Waller is a cruel bitch
If his breath venom could melt ice he should just unfroze all of the team instead of taking her one vs one especially after seeing her kill Bansee and take Zoom on

depending on the writer how exactly the speedforce works changes though in general its all the same
what zoom seems to be doing here is an inverse of what the speedforce is meant to do rather than speed the person up it slowed him down to such an extent that 1 second lasts weeks if not years
could even handwave the only way he's able to communicate is because of the changes a speedforce body goes through(faster reaction time and whatnot) and him "speeding up" in this movie is more him relaxing the slowing of his personal time

I feel this is a fairly relevant place to leave this comment. I very much like how they took an "on the surface" simple power, the ability to move at super high speeds, and did so much with it. The fact that they thought things through to such a deep level, the ability to vibrate molecules to essentially manipulate the very laws of physics, moving through solid matter, building up kinetic energy and releasing it as incredibly powerful punches and kicks, generating lightning, it's really cool imo
Edit: it actually does leave me with questions of what could be accomplished by managing to move objects at high enough speeds. Is it possible to move faster than light, or is that going to be disproven if we ever manage to get something to move at light speed? For that matter, why would time travel be directly related to moving at high speeds? Assume you could travel through a "fold" in space, such as a wormhole, would you actually be able to move through time itself that way, or would you just come out on the other end at exactly the same moment in time, while someone watching from the point you went in would simply have the perception that you time traveled? What happens if you throw a cup attached to string into a black hole, would someone talk to you through it? As you can tell, my questions are somewhat deep, but mostly just high thoughts
You can't physically move faster than the light, can't even move at the exact, or close because the mass of even the lightest object (a single atom) goes absurdly high with that speed.
Time travel is related to high speed. The faster you go, the slower you perceive time, thus it is possible to go into the future. Objects with very strong gravity also distort time.
While time can be slowed, it cannot be stopped, so it also can't be reversed. A journey trough wormhole would be at best like nearly an instant teleportation for the observer, or at worst a very, very slow teleportation (many, many, many years, no upper limit), which would be rather fast for the crew of the ship.
If you would throw a cup attaced to a string into a black hole, the gravitation would spaghettificate the cup and then crush it, alongside the string.

The first minute-35 gives such a good villain story, I'm almost rooting for zoom with how good his voice actor matches his face and his lines

Could we have him in justice league?
too bad he died in the film
i would've preferred it if he came back for apokolips war and rather than it be a slaughter fest focused on the people who got their own films while everyone who didn't died, instead, it was a 2 part-er. first part, the war. second part, the apocalypse
barry's a main character, zoom managed to stay alive, and as his life drains out and all of his speed dies, he makes one last effort to make sure barry's life remains hell - stopping the flashpoint
i don't know how the film would've gone differently, i'm just listing the plot points that would've made apokolips war truly the best ending and not a gore filled shock fest

Frankly I'd have had the villains react more intensely to hearing that A Batman shot Zoom through the head. Just seeing the panic spread across their face would be glorious.
Why
As far as they know bats don’t kill a Batman that kills would of wiped em all multiple times by now
@@ANKUZAKI Because most of the villians in the room were batman villians at some point aka if he starts killing hes gonna be comin for them first you cantactually see it when zoom says batman killed him that deadshot suddenly looks worried.
@@wilmagregg3131 nah he had his kinda agry serious look while listening to Zoom story. This was in no shape or form a worried face. Trust me the shows make it clear when someone reacts to Batman with close ups or exagerations like gasping mouths eyes wide open etc.
Yeah, when a guy with a hole through his head traveled from an alternate dimension and galaxy to explain something to you, one where he says batman kills, your first reaction, would be to get mad, about a batman killing a bad guy, in a alternate dimension, where batman kills bad guys?
Absolutely genius mate. When can you start writing for DC?
Zooms voice actor sells this scene phenomenally.

The fact that zoom is able to keep himself alive despite missing a good chunk of his brain just shows How determined and powerful he is.
The man tried to blow up the flash in his own museum and when he himself was trapped with the flash he was like “eh, least you’ll go down with me.” Then AGAIN in the same movie with an entire world. When Barry told him that he’d be erased along with it his exact words were “as they say in your time, Totaly Worth it” to hell with the speed force I’m convinced he’s surviving purely on determination and spite. When we see the live action version imagine Batman showing up as a surprise.
I love how the immortality is explained by saying that Savage has a “get out of hell” free card. I think that’s hilarious
Savage's immortality isn't actually because of the card, he had the card to go to heaven when he eventually died. Savage can be killed but can't die of old age, so he had a card to make sure he went to heaven when someone managed to kill him
Isaac Mendes this savage version was nerfed. Justice league unlimited savage was completely immortal, invulnerable.

I always felt bad for copper head here. I always got the sense he wanted to do the right thing, he could have stayed frozen like the others and Waller wouldn’t have questioned it. Instead he took the risk of breaking free and fighting the most powerful person in the room. Rip copper head, we shall not forget your sacrifice.
Its also plot convenience that he didnt win. he had the upper hand and then instead of spewing acid in her face or punching her, or restraining her hands, or continuing to use his tail he ... starts lightly choking her? That was just bad fight choreography to make the explosion moment happen.
@@kettenschlosd well his acid spit…for lack of a better word has a cool down. He can only use once before having to let it recharge. But I understand what you mean
I didn’t like the Justice League Cartoon’s copperhead, he looked so weird.
