    Just made this, my gammon joint was 1.804kg, for anyone that's interested in possible timings, I used the probe and preset to Pork Well Done 80 degrees, it took 10 mins to come to pressure (with the above liquid measurements) then it cooked for 1 hour and 10 mins, quick release pressure then coated it in the honey, mustard & brown sugar glaze and Air Fried it for 7 mins.

      Hi Susannah, used probe for first time today. Two things I hope you can help me with. It went on natural release but nothing happened and could not move the lever and was panicking so my son moved the valve and a small amount of steam was released and I was able to move lever across. What should I do on natural release. Probably a stupid question. Also I did not add honey etc because I do not eat the rind and crust so thought I did not need it. Although I soaked first for about 6 hours it is quite salty. Is there anyway of avoiding that. It was unsmoked. Thank you x

    I'm a recent subscriber as my wife and I have just bought a Ninja 15 in 1 ourselves. I have to say that watching your channel always makes us hungry and we will be trying lots of your recipes and suggestions for sure. Thanks!

      Thank you for such a lovely comment. It really means a lot to me. Always feel free to leave a comment and ask any questions you may have. It’s very much trial are error with the ninja but today I’ve cracked the perfect roast chicken using STEAM AIR FRY - video will be available soon

    The most clearly explained recipe I have seen and heard . I'm off to the kitchen now to cook my gammon.

    Do I take off the plastic slip if it says to cook with it on, not sure if I should in a pressure cooker?

      I always remove. When pressure cooking the temperature must get extremely high and I wouldn't want you to end up with it melted

    I have had the 15 in 1 for a while now & got into quite a confused state after buying all the various cookbooks & things never turning out right. That led me to lots of trial & error & certain things I gave up on, roast ham being one of them. Today I tried your version & I am bowled over at how it's turned out & tastes amazing! Thank you so much for the step by step guide that was easy to follow & gave me no worries at all. Tomorrow I shall be trying your chicken version, I have the thyme & lemons ready! 😃

      That’s so great!! Thank you for watching and you’ll love the chicken! I’d go as far to say it’s even better than the gammon. I’m recovering from foot surgery at the moment but I’m working on some new recipes. Last night I pressure cooked a pasta dish so will get that video out asap. Going to make a crumble this week in it to… very autumnal, not like our current heat wave!

    Gorgeous recipe, thank you. I’m the same I freeze any spare veggies, especially carrot and celery, they make such a difference to a lot of dishes. Love your videos, just working through all these yummy ideas, thank you for sharing, Jan, Portsmouth 😊 x

      Hi Jan, I loved receiving your comment, thank you so much for watching.
      Game changer when you learn how to freeze. I really appreciate your support in my growing channel. I’m currently out of action after foot surgery last week and missing cooking so much. Noting lots of ideas to try but I still have some recipes being posted over the next few weeks. X

    How long did I it take to cook

    • @susannahskitchen
      @susannahskitchen  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s best to use the probe as then it will cook without being overdone. Depending on the size of the joint it will vary. It’s pretty quick though!

    • @susannahskitchen
      @susannahskitchen  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, I don’t know how long as it cooks to temperature not time and every piece of meat will be different.
      In future videos I can keep an eye on the time to give people a guide.

    Tried this method but didn't work for me, set to pork as per instructions after the pressure built up only cooked for around 10 minutes and was still rawe in centre. No idea where i went wrong 🤣

      Thats a disaster.....must be a problem with the probe

    • @susannahskitchen
      @susannahskitchen  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DavidHarrison-iq3sx it can be placement but in a large joint you can’t really go wrong by putting it in the middle. I’ve had someone else saying that their beef was overcooked using the probe. It will be interesting to see what ninja say about it.

      @@DavidHarrison-iq3sx If the gammon joint is rolled there can be air pockets so if the probe was in one of them the temp reading can be off.

      Hi, Is your valve set to SEAL? If it is but still not coming to pressure could the silicone seal around the lid be loose or damaged?

    • @joshua29979
      @joshua29979 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @freefromlifestyle it was def at seal. I have been using my ninja but this is first time I have used steam as I only bought it 2 days ago. I lid seems fine.

      I have exactly the same issue 😩. Have tried it twice - have checked seal ring and added some more water just in case but still says “No Pressure”…. Now going to give steam roast a try instead! Any tips for PC in future would be much appreciated. Thank you anyway for recipe, looks delish! X
