- Here, I'll only disassemble the latest G-Lide series G-Shock with reff. number of GBX-100 and explore on how to remove/change the band, bezel, battery, and even LCD display. Just in case.
As a bonus, we'll compare the interior to its rival GBD-100 series as well while at it.

Brilliant video, exactly what I needed, I’ve just bought this watch and am trying to find a black bezel to swap out the ss one it comes with, I can’t source a black one at the moment but at least I know how to swap it now, thanks loads, I’ve saved video and will watch many times and with pause when I come to doing to slight mod, now I’ve got to find a black one!! Always thought if there is any way of getting sun, moon, tide data in other MIP display casios. If there a way, any hack you will find out first.

You'll need to do it yourself though, if you know how to solder tiny component on the board, should be doable.
Can you write new bios in motherboard so then can be usedwith all possible pushers?
I'mm not smart enough in that regards. I wish someone would do it.
are there any after market watch case that would fit this module? in case the day comes when the plastic case crumbles to bits.

GA-100 band size is compatible with GBX-100 lug size. It is bigger, but it can still fit.

Can you swap out the GBX-100 to the GBX-200? For me I like the fact that the band on the GBD-200 has a metal buckle and Wrist Guards. The GBX-100 Has cheaper plastic buckle and no wristguards. I don't know what casio was thinking when they decided to go with plastic buckle and no wrist guard, well maybe I do? Its all about the Money and more profit and giving us a cheaper product. Greed eventually catches up.

hello sir...why my gbx-100 lcd blinking after i change the battery and i reset too..maybe ribbon or something problem?

i ran into some trouble with the side (display & mode) button when i was putting back the rubber bezel. both plastic buttons popped out and i had to glue them back on to the stainless steel buttons. please be extra careful when assembling them back

Why did Casio use cross head screws on the watch when they could have used hexes? Looks so cheap.

I did a reset on my Gshock G-lide, and it’s not turning back on . Any idea how to switch it on. Please help me.
whoa, never had this happen before, if this happen to me, I'd just try to swap to a different battery again, and perform the AC again but hold it in place for like 1-2 seconds longer. Idk /why/how, sometimes it helps.
Make sure you connect/touch the right AC connection point though.

I just broke my side button yesterday during open my bezel though😅 luckily some g-shock sifoo helping me to attach it back with some mod..hmm maybe i pressure the bezel a bit hard 😓

I didn't have that watch yet, so I'm not sure. You'll have to disassemble it first.
Include a tough solar feature...if casio do this.. it would be the best ever G-Shock..

This is the video I was looking for, thanks. I like the design of the GBD 200 but the features want to be like the GBX 100, whereas in this video the GBD 100 is the same as the GBD 200.
How can this model be shock resistant without having rubberized parts like other g-shocks? It has a rigid, hard plastic bezel and a steel one at the front. Btw I have it and love it but it still concerns me.
G-Shock released a full stainless steel and titanium watch even back in the 90's. Look for MRG-100 as an example, that thing still just as shock resistant.
GBX-100 like this should be fine.
@@gshockhighfashion Thank you! Also, I noticed that the ,,plastic" bezel is actually a rubberized material just like on classic g-shocks. The steel bezel seems to be laying on the ,,rubberized" one, so if there is an impact, I guess the rubberized parts still absorb the shock.

When it comes to disassembly, i really hate the plastic buttons.
I bent the shaft of one during a bezel swap on a GD-100.
Now I'm scared to try it on this guy.

I have a question if I disconnect the watch from the phone how long is the Bluetooth on permanently or switch it off maybe few minutes or did I have to activate the airplane mode
the bluetooth icon will remain blinking. i just activate airplane mode to disable it. im not using the watch for any notifications
That bluetooth blinking can be turn off once u unpair it on the watch, im puzzling at the first time too, but once i did that it settled...
I have a question Why is there no alert in this watch between hour and hour? Like Casio digital watches?

I flooded my GBX-100, took it apart, dried it out, and it is working again but the backlight is dead. Do you have any ideas for repairing or replacing the LED?

Cool! You've just discovered 2 ultimate beaters. A beater is great as a cheap replacement, but parts replacement is even better! 👍

I have the gbx100 and that's fantastic to know I can use the gbd100 LCD screen.

I don't think is possible. The dark areas are not reflective in this MIP display, that's what I heard.

@@gshockhighfashion wondering why g shock now no more tough solar for master of G series, is it really easy to change the battery ourselves? Despite it's easy to do so, but still embedded the risk of water resistant issue once we dissemble and put back the back cover.

This is the reason why we are seeing alot of "C-Shock" in the market nowadays.
Casio pls take some legal action to this guy. He is also selling merchandise under "G-Shock" wordings and photos which are totally not in compliance with.
I don't know anything about the selling of trademarked merch,, but are you serious about your first point? This is literally just a teardown. Are you not in favour of personal mods and the ability to change parts yourself, as in the "right to repair" of the stuff you've bought and own? It just shows the love for the product, no-one this interested in it will buy the knock-off versions anyway. And if you really think someone would copy a design based on a video like this, and not their own research and teardown, you're dilusional.
