- In this video, I show how to establish a transplant in a 5-gallon container. I used 50% organic matter with potting soil to help retain moisture.

Great!
Love this! What gradual release fertilizer did you use here?
Oops, my fault! EcoScraps. Thanks for asking.
Where in Georgia are you getting worm castings? Also, do collards need sandy soil?
I purchase my worm castings from Home Depot, and AMAZON. I don't see why not, just make sure your soil is well drained and rich with organic matter, but check your local growing requirements for your area. Thanks for stopping by!
I have purchased a collard tray containing 6 individual plants, so will they each need they’re own bucket?
Great question, and thanks for asking. Yes, collards require their own container in order to grow BIG and LUSH.
@@ReclaimingOurRoots Thank you, God bless!
Good morning can I buy a bigger bucket and put more than 1 plant in it ?
Not for collards. Collards need room to spread their leaves.
Question, why do you put mulch in everything?
Great question. Mulch acts as an insulator blanket to help retain moisture in the soil.
@@ReclaimingOurRoots can tell me what type of wood chip, were you buy it? Thank you 😊
Hi there. How many collard plants can I grow in a 5 gallon bag. Thank you..
Great question. Because collards grow HUGE, only 1 plant should be grown in a 5 gallon container.
Were you get the collards plant from
My local Home Depot. Thanks for asking.
How are your collards doing?
Our collards were delicious! LOL Preparing for our fall garden that will include more collards. Stay tuned!
Can I put more than one plant in the bucket?
Great question thanks for asking. It depends on the plant type. In this case, only one collard plant per 5 gallon container because they're going to get HUGE. Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much for the reply. I will head your advice.
