@@75southgardening58 I direct sowed carrots and peas. Then started some trays of collards, Kale, turnips, broccoli, Brussel sprouts and spinach. Hopefully I'm not to late starting the seeds. This is my second year growing alot of vegetables like this. I grew potatoes in the spring and did well so I might try some fall potatoes see what happens lol.

Thanks, I used Diamataceous earth food grade. If you mention turn the volume up, at the time when I made this I had no idea how to edit videos. I have a new video on the way for collards
Simple cinder blocks. Leveled the ground as best as I could on the hill and put cardboard underneath for weed control. I'm gonna do a video on it soon.
Where did you get your covers for the crops.Will you do a video from start to finish on your raised bed . Your beds are incredible. Brother putting plants in buckets gave me thought to do the same.Thank I preciate you
I got them from Amazon. I'll add links to the next video. Gardening for beginners part 2. I'll go over raised beds and containers. Should be done within the next week or so.

Yes on my collard green plants I just snap them off just like you did. And they grow back so fast

All grown inside from seed then transplanted outdoors. I have purchased transplants before from the local nursery's.
What material are you using over the collards
It's called tulle fabric, you can get it from joanns. I ordered mines from Amazon a few years ago.

What's the difference in snapping them opposed to cutting them?
Some people are heavy handed and break the plant.
vrich, nothing it is dong the same thing. But cutting is better for the plant but it should be done with sterilized sciccors or knife
