- The MMDA mixed things up with an afternoon operation in Baclaran.
Videos are first released on / ytgadgetaddict and comments can be left there.
In preparation, the vendors had rolled their stalls into the side streets, making the main road passable to vehicles. A somwhat positive result for road users, but only temporary.
As soon as the team moved along the road, all the vendors behind them would start rolling their carts back onto the main road and continuing to do businesses.
There were also a number of new permanent installations on the sidewalks. Some of them were deconstructed but I suspect they'll be rebuilt with the same materials.
A member of Task Force Baclaran (Barangay) had an identity crisis and the rest of his Barangay & CIty buddies came in to disrupt the clearing operation in one area. - บันเทิง
The city mayor should pursue this...this mirrors his responsibility as a fair power to everyone.
tbh I would've just bulldozed those vendor stalls.
One suggestion, can you go to the place before the operation so that we have a before and after (and maybe after the operation as well).
The President should not only get tough with the Mayors, barangays should also be included with the clearing. It's the barangays who should make sure vendors are not back on the road, not unless they get something out of it because the vendors are being defended by this barangay official.
Does the MMDA invoice the city for clearing efforts? If not, they should. Then display the summary online. Transparency and accounting can help solve this.
those leader and organizer must be ARRESTED they are the one who starting and making this obstruction also colabarted by barangay official ….and alsomunicipality must check those people if they are realy residence of manila if not not allowed

Vendors will always go back because they still have their supplies. The leader should pay whenever they got caught. Who is the government is it the vendors because it's so obvious that they can do whatever they want to do. A road is a road not for vendors. There should be a tough law so they will learn. Officials are very linient that's why they are taken advantaged.

Sadly they need to confiscate all items along with incarceration. Barangay member don't make enough money to enforce laws and it appears they are just protecting their constituents, not good when it comes to enforcing the laws.

They think they can just park how ever they want. People complain about traffic. So they have that 4 lane with 1 being bus only. They want all 4 lanes open. Yet they happy to block 2 lanes with there car.

I have an idea. Could we cut the power their in Baclaran and let the legit business owners use generators? From 6am to 4pm cut down the power.
They should turn up one day with 500+ people from the MMDA, police, swat, 20 big trucks and confiscate the lot. When they go to reclaim their stuff, only hand it over after they pay a 10,000 peso fine.
The next day, do it all again.
Ive notice somethin in 6:10 nothin was confiscated in their things not even their lona sabitan or their stall nothin i mean literally nothin but on some vendor that was just usin the ground floor for their goods they were confiscated and yes maybe i heard it right na kase cla walang padulas tsk..unfair
