There are no hotels on the island, but there is a campground where you can rent camping equipment! You have to bring your own food, but there are many cats, so you can enjoy camping very much, although the island is torture if you are allergic to cats. The island has been beautifully rebuilt 10 years after the tsunami.

I have seen short bits of that footage elsewhere on TH-cam, without ever knowing what was the name of the place being pictured. I am happy to see that the residents are rebuilding.

@@easygoingsolotravel thank you we will definitely enjoy it. We plan on visiting Shibuya, Akihabara, Harajuku, Asakusa and Disneyland. My 2 younger children love anime and the youngest has been learning Japanese for the last 3 years, they both love everything about Japanese culture. My other daughter with the TH-camr husband has been to Tokyo twice and Osaka and Kyoto once. She loved Osaka and Kyoto and we plan to visit your city when we come back. When we do you can give me ideas on places to visit. Take care until your next video.

Pero ahora es muy moderno, reconstruido y hermoso. El siguiente vídeo muestra un montón de gatos, ¡si quieres verlo! Soy amante de los perros y abuso de los gatos. es mentira.
Nice ferry service to the island! I'd also say I'm more partial to dogs, as I'm a bit allergic to cats 🤣 Maybe I'd visit Rabbit Island (Okunoshima) someday haha
