Hello! Thanks for watching my video! Are capsule hotels strange hotels in the eyes of the world?I did some research on the history of capsule hotels and learned that capsule hotels originated in Japan. The first capsule hotel in Japan is still in business today, so I am planning to stay there next time.
@@easygoingsolotravel I live in Canada, and there are 3 capsule hotels here. Two of them are in a very pricy resort area (skiing and golf), and one is in a student hostel area. The average cost per night is about $100CAD, or about 10,600 JPY! I look forward to seeing the first one, where it all started. Thanks for posting

Hello! I like capsule hotels and often stay in them. I like to stay in capsule hotels because they are cheap, but... I would like to stay in a luxury hotel once in a while.
It's a long weekend here in New Zealand so I thought it's about time I catch up on all your videos that I haven't been able to watch. That burger was tiny, I think I would've ordered another. You definitely get yourself around Japan and it's great if it helps you to unwind and de-stress from all the pressures. Please take care of yourself. Off to watch the next video.

@@TC-fs9ps hi, sorry it's taken so long to get back to you I've had a lot on. I was born in Wellington but moved to Tauranga when I was 7. I stayed a couple nights at this hotel in April of this year (April 23~25, 2023). Very comfortable stay in a regular capsule. The lockers were a bit skinny for my stuffed carry on bag but I made it work somehow. The communal bath was wonderfully hot (44c), though I think some work needs to be done on cleaning some suspicious stains on the floor of the main washing area outside the massive tub. If you use the sauna in the corner be sure to take a rubber sitting mat with you since the room is set for around 90c and the wooden benches and the wet towels on top them will burn your skin! Make sure you duck when exiting the sauna as well. I was in time for the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom festival even though the cherry blossoms peaked early this year. Most of my time was spent with a rental bicycle hitting up locations from the Flying Witch manga.
