- Luboš Roza is one of the most talented fly anglers in the word. He's a two time Youth Fly Fishing World Champion, and holds the record for the youngest person ever to win an Adult World Championship at age 20. He is a true master of his craft. We're proud to produce a range of his euro nymphs and dry flies, which are top performers around the world.
In this video, Luboš walks us through his approach to fishing a small stream in Slovakia for grayling and trout. In low, clear water on a hot day the fish were tough, so Luboš demonstrates how to approach these situations. He starts the day out euro nymphin g with a french leader and his extremely effective Pink Pheasant Tail, then goes on to fish a dry dropper setup. You'll also be able to learn a lot about how Luboš reads the water when nymphing, what flies he has confidence in, and how he approaches the water. As someone who could catch a fish out of just about anywhere, you're going to want to pay close attention to this one!

I have to say that is one of the best, most informative videos I've seen. Along with put his fly in a tree before he even started, we got to see him progress through the river. Hope there is a part two. I think I'd really enjoy fishing with him.
There are a bunch more from this shoot coming about his gear, and some tying tutorials!
Fantastic video! great advice, it is a delight to see in action such a fine fisherman. Like how he is treating the fishes with care.
Totally
Please more videos with Lubos Roza
5:43 good reminder that even the best in the world still get hung up in the trees 😂
I love how you are presenting these on-river instructional videos. Not only are we able to watch and learn the fishing techniques of world-class anglers, but we are also able to enjoy seeing them fish their home waters with each episode offering a whole bundle of variety. Thanks, Fulling Mill and Lubos for a truly enjoyable tutorial.
Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re really happy you like them 😁
Great to see an approach that is not just tightlining. Its a common misconception and many think that is all competetion anglers do.
Such a game changer for me , only started tight lining last season and can only think of the fish I’ve been missing all these years 🥵😂 . Wonderful to watch you pick apart all there favourite spots and get the results. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺🎣
Try not to think too hard about all the fish you may have missed in years past 😂
Fan-friggin-tastic. Just watching Lubos fish and cast is so informative.
Your video is so helpful and informative, but it so interesting how you kept on changing with the conditions, thank you,
MSG Leum
Nicely done Lobos. Always liked learning from you.
Thanks for great and informativ video!
Such a friendly and informative video Luboš...thanks for sharing your specialist knowledge, set ups, tips and experience...much appreciated and very helpful...greetings from the UK
Such a personable and informative presentation. Thanks from down-under in NZ.
Very informative video , love the way angler travels light ,then carries a net big enough for Jaws !!
You have to carry a net for the fish you want to catch 😉
Right champion, without a bit of uppity. Bravo!
Cool guy and nice material
Enjoyed this. Thanks ❤
Really glad to hear it!
Lubo§ Roza is a very well
Known for Loch fishing 🎣
He is exceptional at that, too! We hope to film that for a future series.
Fantastic! I watched it twice to pick up on some nuances. Mr. Roza is such skilled and calculating angler. Regardless of whether you tight line nymph or not, there is a lot of information that is useful for all fly fisherman.
So happy you enjoyed it!
Thank you.👍👍👍
Hi Eamon another great video could you show me your euro nymping setup from reel to fly if you could bring it closer to the camera to see how you set it up
It's good to see a world champion struggle somewhat. Makes the rest of us feel better! Maybe I misunderstood but it seemed like all these methods used a dry dropper setup rather than euro fishing.
The first 15 ish minutes was a french leader and two nymphs!
Хорошие у вас речки, для нахлыста...
Excellent, thanks Lubos! A question for you, I notice that when you set the hook you keep your rod very low to the water. Is that to improve the angle on the hook set? Or to keep the fish underwater so you don't pull the small fish straight out into the air and risk losing them? Thanks again! Cheers, Peachy. :)
I noticed that you fish Up-stream, any comment? Good video.
Hi, I would like to ask what fly pattern did you use at the beggining of the video as a dry on your dry dropper rig. Thank you!
Thank you for the opportunity to see Lubos fishing. Could you tell me the exact specifications of the French leader he used while nymphing? Again, this video is excellent and highly informative.
Glad you liked it! We’ll reach out to Luboš and get back to you 🙏🏼
@@FullingMillTV Is there any news on the leader specifications? I'm also interested to hear more on this topic. :)
Hello Liubos,I want to ask you, what the material you use for the tail for dark neon fly?If not secret?🙂
When changing over to a nymph and dry fly indicator did he tie the nymph off the bend of the dry fly he was using in NZ style or change completely? If not what are his thoughts on the NZ indicator/nymph set up as it would appear to be much quicker than changing both.
Very interesting! When changing techniques, does he change only the leader (French for nymphing and dry-indicator; and a dry fly leader)and continue to use his FIPS nymph line?
He put on a different line and reel for the dry fly fishing!
good
Can i ask what micro rings you use , the ones i have tried cause break offs
We sell tippet rings that are excellent! www.fullingmill.co.uk/Products-UK/Connections-UK/Mini-Rings-1-5mm-UK
The main difference between a real Pro and a Wannaby Pro filming himself, is the release of the fishes.
The words fly Fishing and world champion don’t belong together. Just one guys point of view.
euronymphing isn't flyfishing
Of course it is
