I recently bought a 370z as a daily and I love it! I like the simple interior/features that was part reason I wanted it. No bs! In my opinion it's a car you buy for driving not for all the features. I will say this though, Nissan needs to drop the new price of these if they want to move units especially since they haven't changed. Happy to see it in the current line up still though. Great review as always

Raiti, you make me question how much a man can do in 24 hours.
The 370Z is one of the best designed roadsters, if you see it on the street, it is captivating. The interior is dated but thats not why you buy this car, you buy this car because it is old fashioned and has an ageless exterior design that is safe for years to come.
    Beautiful car.

Well described. For car enthusiasts that want an engine, a transmission, a chassis, and a steering wheel. If not having things like lane departure warning systems and adjustable interior lighting are a dealbreaker, you're not really interested in a sports car in the first place.

When the 370 came out I thought it was ugly and preferred the design of the 350. But the first time I saw one in person it changed my mind and I fell in love with it. It has a very strong presence to it.

I remember when the 350Z first came to our shores in 2003 I was immediately smitten. But like you said, with basically no major updates the last 16 years the car has become very stale. Still a fun driving enthusiast car though. And at least you can still get it with a manual. Great review as always brother!! 🤙🏻🤙🏻

Thanks AGAIN Joe (and Maus Nissan) for a VERY appreciated and candid review!!! As long-in-tooth as it is, I still love the 370Z! The heart of The Beast -- the VQ37VHR with its' 7,000 RPM redline -- is destined to become a naturally-aspirated V6 classic! Other vloggers dismissed the Z long ago because it lacks current high-tech gadgetry. They miss the whole point: The mission of the Z is its' visceral driving experience. When all those nice high-res monitors in other sports cars become obsolete and useless in a few years, only the driving experience is left to give you smiles...Long Live the Z!!!

Thank you for wonderfully down to earth review of the 370Z Roadster. I recently bought the only one I could find in SOuthern California, a 2016 with 24K miles. You hit on all the negatives, but also showed the esthetic and handling appeal of this convertible. It is our 4th Nissan/Datsun Z car. Not as hot as a Porsche, and the lines aren't as sleek as my recent BMW Z4 soft top, but a sweet driving road car, with the reliability of Nissan vehicles. The body design gradually proves ever more appealing. You validated my decision to go with this model. I look forward to driving it for many years to come.

Thanks for another interesting video on the Z.
As you know, I have a 2019 370Z sport coupe 6M all-black that I use as a daily driver. I have had the car ceramic coated, so it maintains its super glossy black mirror finish very nicely. For just myself, it's a great daily driver that puts a smile on my face every day I drive it and makes life more fun. I'm going to have some stiffer Hotchkiss anti-sway bars installed front and back next week to improve the already great handling.
About the only changes I would make to the car if I had the power would be to drop the weight a little to get it closer to 3,000 lbs, put in a slightly larger NA engine, delete the AC, install a 7-speed manual transmission, put all analog dash gauges in the driver's compartment with the voltmeter and clock replaced with an oil pressure and manifold pressure gauge, smaller exterior rear-view mirrors and thinner A-pillars, thinner steering wheel spokes, a heads up display that shows RPM, gear choice and oil pressure and finally a large high-resolution nav display in the console.

I’m just a fan of the Z. The first time I laid eyes on the 04 I was shocked at the lines, curves, and affordability. I bought a roadster and it was a blast! It was the first car I got, at 20, that really got me. When I sat in that seat we became one. I think that’s what so special about people and cars they love, the relationship. To this day I would still buy the Z and think I will. I like it’s simplicity and the amount of fun you can have. I still remember to joy I felt of driving it at 3am on the freeway pushing 100mph, what an experience!

Great review! Personally really liked your review starting off more about the price/performance ratio and not straight up bashing on the 10-year-old design like most of the other ppl do. It's true that 370Z hadn't received some much-needed Tech upgrade to things like electronics and other things it deserves. And a lot of people doesn't feel justified to spend the same amount of money (if not more) for a car with such an older design. But what makes a 370Z such a good car despite the decade-old design is that through all these years it remains true that the 370Z is still one of the most enjoyable and engaging performance cars to drive; which your review reflect those aspects. The matter of truth here is, those who are willing to get one know what they are getting and simply enjoy driving a fun car.

It’s near the same horsepower and weight to a new supra. yeah CD players are kinda dated but they do provide better music sound quality than mp3 or mp4. $48k does seem a bit much for an old design. I don’t like the head and tail lights. I like them more on the 90s version. The squares were distinctive. The old pop ups were nice too. Good review. Looks like a decent car but needs some updating in interior and exterior and maybe hybrid electric version

Can you talk about the interior upholstery s little bit as to how it responds to outside temperature? I understand that this is a concern for roadsters, and other manufacturers treat the material in someway so that the seats don't burn you on a hot day for instance.

I love the Z as well... Mine is a 2010 Roadster in white with the Sport package and Navi. Paid just under $17k for a very clean, low mileage example. It, too, has the 7AT. It's not my preferred choice of gearbox, but it's tolerable with the paddle shifters. I've owned a couple first generation and a second generation Miata over the years, and I miss the slick short-throw 6MT in that second gen car. The old school interior of the Z doesn't bother me. I like the retro look and feel to it. Is it worth $48k? No. Give a few years of depreciation, then pick one up for a much more reasonable price. I will probably keep mine for a decade before moving on.

It’d be cool if Nissan made an available targa top as an attempt to pay homage to the T tops of yesteryear. The Z should always though attempt to stay true to a raw, nearly absolutely analog driving experience. My fantasy grand slam for Nissan would be to design an all new turbocharged inline 6 with 380 to 400 crank HP with good potential for mods...🤗. One can only dream 🤷🏻‍♂️. Keep em coming JR. 🤙🏼

It's terrible how Nissan has neglected the Z. I bought a brand new 2006 Infiniti G35 (same platform as the Z) coupe 13 years ago and it's absolutely crazy to see the same tech that I had on my G35 back then. The Z car is one of the most iconic cars ever and to see it virtually forgotten by Nissan is sad. I really hope Nissan steps up to the plate and gives us a new Z car worthy of that iconic Z badge soon.

I think Nissan’s been neglecting most of their models. Think about the 370Z, Armada, Pathfinder, Frontier, Titan, and NV vans. Those models all have not received any major updates since at least 2016. Way behind in terms of techs.
