I have been trying to cooperate this into my loc maintenance routine. I consider myself a semi free former… I go 3 months without retwist and I am finding my hairs grow away from locs in the front and on top where the hair is a more finer texture.I think this technique works well for me! Thank you for the informative video, as always.

That's for this, I started out natural dread, 4 years and then I started twisting them. I don't like to retwist often, and my locs started thinning (7 years and some are past my bra strap now,). I just learned about my new growth growing away from my locs. I pop my locs in the shower when I rinse out my conditioner. I can't wait to try this. 🙏🏾 For sharing. Love your Locs

U got any hairstyles for semi freeforms for special events? Mine are about the same length as yours and I don’t really know what to do with them

Ahhhh, good question. I currently only do two styles with mine: either rope twists or half up, half down. I am not great at doing any updos just because I like low-tension hairstyles and my hair isn’t long enough to do too many updos with low tension.
My biggest advice would be accessorize. You could always do a headwrap style. Those are always very elegant to me

Why not just crochet it back into your loc? It easier and more permanent.

@@alymimi1368 is there a specific reason? Just curious.

I didn’t like the feeling of breaking through one loc to fit the other loc through. It felt like I was weakening the ends of my locs by doing the crochet method because of what the crochet hook does
