    My first loc journey, I was told my hair was too soft to semi freeform. I semifreeformed that whole journey until the loctician started interlocking me. But this time around, I know I don’t like interlocking & my hair can’t hold a good retwist unfortunately. & I know my hair fairly well (my textures, different densities, my hair locs slowly etc)
    I’m willing to take the risk semi freeforming, & I know my hair benefits from more washing so that it can loc easier. If it ends up not working & popping off, so be it im stubborn 😂
    Thank you for this video! It’s very informative & I know it will help those who watch

    I free parted my hair and the back is lower density so I made those slightly larger. Also im 7 months now so they're all locking the same size ☺️

      By free parting do you mean your parting was based on the hair density on the different areas? If so, I did the same. Some parts of my hair is finer, less dense than others 😊

    As someone who has 3b/c hair I really want to try and go semi free form (since I do not know how to retwist properly) I do hope that my hair will loc up since im 1 month in

    • @holisticflo
      @holisticflo  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Definitely! Let it lock up as time as time progresses

    The popping likely contributed to the hair growing away from the loc (given that popping separates hairs at the root and the married hairs)

      I agree. That makes sense

    • @Vexkoh
      @Vexkoh ปีที่แล้ว +5

      While that is true some people don’t pop their locs and the new growth grows away naturally

    I sponged my hair off and on every blue moon for 6-7 months than I got a retwist over a month ago just did my second retwist I'm probably gonna do monthly retwist 2 or 3 more times than imma just wash and go and separate
