I've been told my showers are too long. That's because I take the time to clean EVERYTHING. There's no way you are cleaning all your bits and pieces in 2 minutes.

Yup, same. My hair is so thick it takes aaaages to wash shampoo out. I don't know if the longer showers are also a western world thing. I've noticed PS that ppl are more likely to shower quickly morning & night. I'd rather have 1 per day and get *everything* squeaky clean

I put leave on oil treatment on my scalp for several hours before washing. I use rosemary oil in whatever oil base to massage my scalp for hair loss prevention. It also helps to gently dissolve grease, dirt and dandruff on my scalp. After that i double wash with diluted, gentle shampoo. I don't have to wash my hair frequently.

I often get painful pimples on my scalp even though I was my hair daily and I do give my scalp a good rubdown. My scalp is so oily, I can't go a single day without washing as it makes me feel uncomfortable. I'm 32 and have had thin, low density hair on my crown since I was a teenager. What about the ears? For the inside, I don't use qtips because I know it's discouraged and for me personally it always clogs my ears and effects my hearing. I just use my pinky finger and a napkin. For behind the ears, I tend to just wash them with soap as I shower. But I feel like my ears are either constantly dry with flaky skin or oily with a pimple on my earlobe, and I'm tired of not know what to do to just have normal, healthy ears. Should I just not touch them at all?

I have chronic ear issues, that I see a ENt dr for yearly, and I bought myself a camera otoscope. I don't always use the wax removing tools, but just having the ability to pop a cap onto the scope and get a good look at what's going on in your ear is a big game changer! If you're getting flakiness inside your ear canal, use a big cotton ball to prevent water from going too far in when you shower.
For the outside of the ear, just use regular body soap and a washcloth and when you use a moisturizer/sunscreen, pop a little bit onto your ears as well. Besides that, don't touch your ears if you can help it. The dirt/oil from our fingers makes thing worse.

    • @eeaotly
      @eeaotly ปีที่แล้ว

Qtips are good for maintenance, not for heavy clogged ears. And you can even wet them with a solution or water to clean your ears if you feel the need.

IANaD, but I have SD of my scalp and eyebrows. I use Head and Shoulders (original clean) followed by Nizoral. I also apply Nizoral as a mask on my face/brows and anywhere I struggle with fungal acne.
I leave the Nizoral on for 5 minutes.
After rinsing, I use a deeply hydrating hair mask on my mid-length to ends. I wait 3 minutes, then rinse again.
I then use Dove Beauty Bar for sensitive skin to clean my skin from face to feet.
I dry my hair with a microfiber towel, then gently blow-dry on low. Leaving my hair wet makes my SD flare.
I used to have to wash my hair daily, but after installing a whole-house water filter and sticking to this regimen for a while, I can get away with waiting until every 3rd day.
For reference, I have thick, coarse hair down to my tailbone. I hope that helped!

When you are taking a shower just put some soap/shower gel on you Ringfinger and go in there and then wash it of. You could also use a q-tip if you have a small bellybutton. Or you can clean it dry with some oil/water on a q-tip which is recommended for children to do. You don’t need special stuff for it, just use the soap or shower gel you already have.

What do u clean your belly button with daily? Im very skinny i assume it just gets clean while im in the shower, as well as behind my ears. In my opinion Cleaning your body too much can leave you more susceptible to sickness ect

I personally just wet a Q-tip with water and use it

Just put a soapy washcloth over your finger and twist it around in your bellybutton. Every now and then use a Q-tip.

I thought cleaning belly buttons was a given. Then I smelled something pungent coming off of someone. Come to find out it was their belly button 🤢
