Antonio, you are literally irreplaceable. It is incredible the amount of details, love and care you put into these videos. My dad had really good sense of style and he learned me somethings, but I lost him early on in my life and now when I go up the latter in life, these advises and directions are gold worthy to me. Many thanks!
This video guide is way better than others. Why? Because it shows the right way *and* the wrong way(s). Most of the time we fail to dress sharp because even if we know what's right to wear, we don't know what's wrong. Plus, people notice wrong things before the right details. Awesome stuff, Antonio. Loving these video guides and they're getting better and better every time.
Antonio I agree with all five basic points of choosing to wear a suit without a necktie and just reemphasize the importance to all gentlemen be mindful of the situation and circumstances when choosing to do so....never on a job interview never in a corporate meeting not even when attending funerals or weddings it's acceptable when on a date or night out with friends or traveling great video Antonio as always!
I would agree except the weddings... we are at the point where many weddings are less formal and conservative and I've seen some gentlemen pull off the no tie at weddings and it looks fantastic. My advise with weddings is to have a tie handy just in case it's more formal than anticipated.
I'm normally in a more casual environment so wearing a jacket without a tie works out great. Everyone wears a shirt and tie without a jacket but by wearing a jacket without a tie I can meet the occasion while still being the best looking in the room.
I'd always been in the habit of wearing crew neck t-shirts with my collared shirts but thanks to you and alpha I tried v-necks and I have to agree that keeping the undershirt hidden looks much better. Thanks!
Antonio- I love your line..."This guy is walking his own path." I do not wear a tie and have noticed over the past few years more and more of my co-workers have followed. Since I am known for not wearing a tie but always wearing a nice fitted suit and shirt, when I do wear a tie people take notice and I receive even more compliments.
Hey Antonio, i'd like to express my gratitude for your effort and your videos. I'm only 16, but i've decided to start dressing myself properly and in the most respectful manner, and your videos have been such a great guide to me.
I really like your videos! I'm a woman and a fiction writer, and your channel is a great resource for my descriptions of my more sharp-looking characters. Keep it up!
Great videos. Thank you for making them. I have a athletic muscular build at 5' 9 1/2" 196lb with bigger legs and a tapered waist. I'm 25 years old and I'm still able to fit into paints that I wore when I was 11. Finding and fitting dress pants to fit is extremely difficult. I wish that there was a nice everyday clothing store that designed clothes for my build. I will sometimes take a pair of paints back to places like Jos Banks 6-12 times before they fit decent.
As I was watching your video I took off my tie that I had on with my suit.I work in a retail establishment so I can choose to dress without a tie and I live in Mississippi where it is very hot now.The suit I'm wearing today is a two piece tan trim fit and I have a white pocket square in the coat pocket .I am also wearing a white straight collar shirt that is pressed and everything looks great!! Your advice is Execellent on this topic and everything else you give. Thanks so much for your work! Donnie Cain

Antonio I am a woman who stumbled upon your videos after looking at men's hair grooming videos. I respect and agree with your opinion in your videos. IA am subscribed to your channel and most of all I love the look of no 😍😍🔥 Thank you 10times over!
I love this style. I work in creative field where most people are dressed in jeans and a T-shirt, polo, or Hawaiian shirt. I wanted to step up my look but felt a tie might be a bit much. So I switch it out with a collection of Mickey lapel pins that I have and an occasional pocket square. I have also started a collection of a variety of different types of hats too. I feel that bring this other elements into how I have now chosen to dress really has given me the opportunity to dress up the way I want to yet still not feel completely out of place.
+Real Men Real Style I have looked around and have not found one. I am a Visiting Professor at a large East Coast University but I work in the College of Art and Design within the university. So I am always surrounded by artist. I am more of a technical designer and teach 3D Digital Design so I am always in either a lecture hall or a computer lab in our building. None of the faculty really dresses up in our College but if I go out of our building to admission or to other more traditional colleges on campus I will start seeing more people in suits. I maybe need to go out of our building once or twice a month. As a visiting professor I am under a nine month contract and am trying to make a good impression to get the contract extended or possibly even get one of those rare tenure track professor positions. I just had a phone interview on Friday for that position so I have my fingers crossed.
I don't wanna say a tie is a must, but man I love those old school large ties, espacially with wide peak lapels, italien style. Probably 85% of my ties are larger ones. But on the other hand when going more casual (family, traveling etc.) no tie is perfectly fine and CAN also look great! Cheers from Germany!
+Simon Ettori Cheers Germany! I know what you mean :) How large would you say is the size of your necktie? As a general guide you want to ensure that your tie measures at around 3 to 3.5 inches in width or closely match the width of your lapel.
Antonio I love ties but in my company quite nobody wears ties. So I can't but I still want to look great and feel confident. Your idea for accessories is awesome. I am moving for my first tailor made suit because I pretty slim and off the rack stuff look always bad on me. thank you for your video from Italy
Hey Antonio, down here in Melbourne, Australia, the standard attire for a city worker is very much no tie and barely a suit jacket, nearly all wear a more casual katmandu or similar winter jacket to and from the office. In summer especially, they just wear a button up shirt, one button undone at the top, and nothing else. Very rare to see a 2 piece suit with tie, or a tie at all, practically never see a 3 piece. Might be the weather situation, but it is the standard that I see when I walk around
I have medical reasons for not wearing a tie, but I am worried about coming off too casual at formal events. Do you have any other suggestions on how to class up a no tie look? What shirt styles are appropriate for formal wear?
I wear sports jackets without the tie all the time. Usually wear a V neck undershirt but recently I have picked up coordinating solid color undershirts that match with the sports coat....I generally get good feedback. Have not tried a suit without a tie. Being over 60, may not be the best look for me. Great set of videos!
Great video as I live in Florida and it's too hot sometimes for a tie and people like the common sense approach, but still looking great and confident.
Great video Antonio. I like the completeness of a tie with a suit, but It really depends on the style of suit, for me. I think that suits in a lighter colour and fabric (think summer suits) look better without a tie than a darker more formal suit, such as a charcoal or navy. Additionally, I find that a patterned shirt such as a gingham can hold its own without a tie when worn under a suit, as there's already enough going on visually. All down to preference though
I always leave the top button fastened on my dress shirts with or without a tie. It is called the AirTie look which actor Ryan Gosling sports nearly all the time and it looks really cool, trendy and attractive.
+Moud Barthez I myself prefer two, I am 6 ft 2 1/2 and built like a tooth pick. I find three button jackets make me look even taller and skinnier than I am. But I have always like the looks of 3 buttons suit jackets much better.
I used to unbutton 4 buttons on my dress shirt whenever I wear a suit. But after I watched White Collar, I may have matured and fell in love with ties. And tie bars
I really admire your work. You are super-professional in your manners of speech, gestures, and how organized and structured your videos are, I really like it. And I'm glad you use the "Gentlemen, Antonio here.." intro like I advised a while ago :)
I kind of think a weak collar looks good when not wearing a tie. Gives it a more distressed look. But hey just my opinion, good video regardless. Big fan.
Antonio, it'd be greay of you did a video going over different colors of suits & sports jackets, and mentioning what colors/types of shirts and pocket squares work well or what to look for. I have seen that what you look for is a pocket square that integrstes colors of the jacket & tie, or tie and shirt, but i dont have an eye for color. Maybe you already have it, i havent found it.
Usually, if I wear a suit without a tie, it is because I have still need to have on the suit (for whatever reason) but I want the person I am talking with, to open up more. I find it helps other people to be more open if I am more at their level (if I am at a higher level on whatever I am helping them with).
As soon as the video started I admired your suit (of course!) then did actually pay a little more attention to your pocket square exactly like you said I would! Genius :P
Adam Bernard need to wear a v-neck undershirt if you do. Use metal collar stays with magnet to keep collar from flaring...especially if it’s a spread collar. Helps me a bunch...
I'm a brand new subscriber to your channel and, man do I wish someone like you was around 40 years or so ago when I was in my early 20s! I've been binge watching your videos and I walk away with one central theme: I'M NOT WORTHY!!! I'M NOT WIRTHY!!! I'M NOT WORTHY!!!
This is my favoured way of dressing. As to if its an appropriate thing to do, the top tailor/designer Oswald Boateng does it all the time and looks great (I agree in the correct context). I favour it with a less stuffy suit colour (eg a mid-blue rather than a grey or navy). I don't normally wear a pocket square as I don't go too fancy but that simple white one looked good. If they could invent a way with the million dollar collars where you didn't need to see after inserting them I would give them a try. Nice video, thanks
I either wear a bowtie or go without a necktie. I even go to church without a tie, and do not feel out of place even though practically everyone else have them on. Now, when I attend more solemn occasion, like funerals, etc I put on a necktie reluctantly. My preference is not to! My more recent mantra has not been to wear a necktie because it looks passe, and out of date. Nearly all of my neckties are dated, so not wearing a necktie makes me feel more current and up to date in my fashion. Antonio, I like this information on this video, and plan to watch it over and over again. I will start wearing pocket squares in the future to kinda take things up to another level in my new fashion wardrobe. Thanks for this video. I enjoyed it very much!
Hello Antonio, great channel! My view is that I have a manual job and there is no call for me to wear a suit day to day for work. So when I have a chance I go all out with the suit so it's a tie every time for me.
I wear a sport jacket with contrasting dress pants and a dress shirt with no tie daily. In warmer months I swap out the jacket for a vest/waistcoat. On one wrist is a watch and a Helix Cuffs bracelet is on the other. I work for myself so I can pull this off but I'm not above donning a tie if the occasion requires.
Love to see a video on suit / pocket square combinations. Plaids/Stripes/Solids. What are the no go on colors? Does the season (time of year) matter? Anyway love the channel.
I'm a stocky guy with a very short neck. Ties tend to almost create a double chin and make it look like I have no neck whatsoever. I can pull off a no tie look (I've been told) but I'm concerned about formality. So the question is; in an unknown formal situation, is it better to take a no-tie risk? or go with the classical tie knowing that it looks a bit forced.
5:28 I own a sport jacket, which I usually wear unbuttoned, to boost up my smart casual outfits a bit. I have a sensitive neck, so ties do not really agree with me. However, as a personal rule for myself, I NEVER wear the jacket outside my house without a pocket square! It does not matter if on the bottom I have dress pants or jeans. I just feel that the casual sport jacket and pocket square additions are like "why not?"!
thank you for information. i have used the suit with out tie look before, a few odd stares, usually from women. but no bad comments. The addition of the pocket square i believe is key. you had a great look in video.
Sir, i'm sorry but one of the videos in which denim was the priority of that video, you look, honestly awesome. i wear a denim shirt with tuck and it look i don't know for others sexy. i watched most of your videos and my style went to 2-8 out of 10. Thank you sir, for the life-changing channel.
My name is Erie and I´m from Mexico and I must say Antonio...first let me congratulate you for those great videos you make...are very helpfull... I have a question...when it comes to a 3-button suit or jacket like the one you used in the video, which rule is followed in terms of the buttons and which ones are buttoned? because in some pages said that is only the middle button and sometimes the first, and I would like to have your opinion about it.
Could you please make a video on Leather Jackets + Caps/Hats? Like which hats/caps go well with which jackets, or even other pieces of clothing/outfits. I'm the kind of guy who almost always wears some cap/hat and I'm looking into buying my first (bomber) leather jacket.
Hey Antonio, thanks for introducing Million Dollar Collar. It's a great idea! Do you have any discount code for us this time? I really want to get one of these.
Do you have a recommendation for formal slacks that will fit well with a phablet or a large phone? If you have a solution for casual jeans as well, that'll be great. Thanks.
hey, long time viewer, fashion hopeful. just thought i'd ask if you have any opinions on the "air tie", also called buttoning all the way to the top with no tie. is it allowed? what do you think?
I am going to my school prom in a few months time, do you think that no tie would be well suited as long as i wear a pocket square? ( same colour as my partners dress)
+Gordon Li Yes! I would say rent a tuxedo since you're still growing and since you're not wearing it more than once. www.realmenrealstyle.com/how-to-dress-for-prom/
Hey, antonio I'm new here ur Channel is perfect ,, can u talk about vest ,, because I bought a dark brown 1905 vest ,, I still don't know what should I wear with it
I watch these videos bc I don't have a dad he stepped out on my life pretty early. So thanks Antonio! Keep up the amazing videos.
+Erik Macik Thanks for watching my videos.
Our societies are now matriarchal anyway.
i'm very sorry to hear that Erik

Gray suit, black dress shirt, and Mocs is one of my all time favorites!
I'm normally in a more casual environment so wearing a jacket without a tie works out great. Everyone wears a shirt and tie without a jacket but by wearing a jacket without a tie I can meet the occasion while still being the best looking in the room.

+Gentleman Adventurer Nice! When do you usually wear neckties?
I usually reserve wearing a tie for board meetings, soliciting new clients, or giving formal presentations. It lets everyone know I mean business.
Hey Antonio, i'd like to express my gratitude for your effort and your videos. I'm only 16, but i've decided to start dressing myself properly and in the most respectful manner, and your videos have been such a great guide to me.

Agree! I'm in IT dept. We don't usually wear tie. When having meetings or lunch with my team, I usually wearing a jacket without a tie.
+Nor Arisham Bakar Cool!
A 3 button suit, don't see many of those these days, it's a great look!
+Adam Stephens I completely agree
Far better and more correct without the top button done up! In fact only the middle button should be closed!
I love this style. I work in creative field where most people are dressed in jeans and a T-shirt, polo, or Hawaiian shirt. I wanted to step up my look but felt a tie might be a bit much. As a general guide you want to ensure that your tie measures at around 3 to 3.5 inches in width or closely match the width of your lapel.
Well Antonio I am guilty of a weak placket. I just started doing suits without a tie. So I guess I've learned something today...
I bought three placket stays from Million Dollar Collar and they worked just as advertised. And they have free shipping, which is a huge deal to me.
+Giovanni Segar Awesome. I use it too :)
I have medical reasons for not wearing a tie, but I am worried about coming off too casual at formal events. Do you have any other suggestions on how to class up a no tie look? What shirt styles are appropriate for formal wear?
I have a seminar one month from now, it's a casual theme but I like dressing good. So I'm gonna wear a suit without a tie
I rarely wear a tie. I'm a portly guy with a large neck. Good video,as usual.
+Richard Bond Nice! Go ahead and try it. It's perfect for business casual events.
Great video as I live in Florida and it's too hot sometimes for a tie and people like the common sense approach, but still looking great and confident.
you are one of the only people i have seen pulling of a 3 button suit :D
Great video Antonio. I like the completeness of a tie with a suit, but It really depends on the style of suit, for me. I think that suits in a lighter colour and fabric (think summer suits) look better without a tie than a darker more formal suit, such as a charcoal or navy. Additionally, I find that a patterned shirt such as a gingham can hold its own without a tie when worn under a suit, as there's already enough going on visually. All down to preference though
+Jake Archer Good points! I completely agree. It all comes down to one's preference :)
Gotta remember to never button the bottom button of a suit. Grat Videos Antonio!
I always leave the top button fastened on my dress shirts with or without a tie. It is called the AirTie look which actor Ryan Gosling sports nearly all the time and it looks really cool, trendy and attractive.
great idea on changing up the ebook lineup
keeps people coming back for more :)
+Vallen Vega Thanks! What other topics do you recommend for my ebook lineup?
your suit is magnificent! i always liked the 3 buttons suit jackets
+Moud Barthez I myself prefer two, I am 6 ft 2 1/2 and built like a tooth pick. I find three button jackets make me look even taller and skinnier than I am. But I have always like the looks of 3 buttons suit jackets much better.
+Moud Barthez Thank you! :)
I really like these tips! Great job! And I personally prefer the v neck undershirt.
I used to unbutton 4 buttons on my dress shirt whenever I wear a suit.
But after I watched White Collar, I may have matured and fell in love with ties. And tie bars
Antonio wondering on what color ties looks nice with a white shirt black suit?
I love that pocket square, and it's true... it caught my eyes and was starring at it throught the video XD
+Adrian Castillo Thank you Adrian!

helpfull as always

This is my favoured way of dressing. As to if its an appropriate thing to do, the top tailor/designer Oswald Boateng does it all the time and looks great (I agree in the correct context). Love to see a video on suit / pocket square combinations. Plaids/Stripes/Solids. What are the no go on colors? Does the season (time of year) matter? Anyway love the channel.
Hi Antonio! This is a great vid, i would say that is preferable to use a V neck or no shirt under. Keep up the good work man.
+Bryan Hunter no shirt under your jacket?
+Real Men Real Style No i mean under my dress shirt. Sorry about that lol.
Excellent on collars for conservative suit wear.

Antonio, how about clear shoes 👞 with suites?
I need to know if I can have a tailor change a regular fit suit to a slim fit suit and how pricey do you think that would be?
+Thomas Gilbert Definitely works without a tie. The pocket square gives a nice flair and look t your outfit.

Antonio, great video! Quick question, what's your opinion about wearing a 3 piece suit without a tie?
Awesome as always!
+Obelix Industries Good question! I'll add it to my list.

Do you have a recommendation for formal slacks that will fit well with a phablet or a large phone? If you have a solution for casual jeans as well, that'll be great. Thanks.
+K Stash That's a good idea! I'll add it to my queue.
Try pleats, you have no clue what you can hide in double pleated pants.
hey, long time viewer, fashion hopeful. just thought i'd ask if you have any opinions on the "air tie", also called buttoning all the way to the top with no tie. is it allowed? what do you think?
godfather of style
+arshak hamid :)
I am going to my school prom in a few months time, do you think that no tie would be well suited as long as i wear a pocket square? ( same colour as my partners dress)
Hey Antonio. Do you have a video on dressing for Prom? Like renting a tux ?
oh sorry. i should have looked my bad.
+Gordon Li Yes! I would say rent a tuxedo since you're still growing and since you're not wearing it more than once. www.realmenrealstyle.com/how-to-dress-for-prom/
