Thank you for the interior tour of your boat. I like the subtle changes that you have done to make it a pleasant home away from home for your family. We have a 26 and truly enjoy it.
We watch a lot of TH-cam boating channels. Your last episode was very good! Hope to see more videos! I think the 26’ venture is the best dory, your additions make it even better!
Very nice improvements you did there. I have never seen a boat that is so versatile with such a shallow draft and economical propulsion and that also has a real pilot house and yet so affordable! I own a Boston Whale 170 and love it, but I can't take a nap below deck or get out of the elements. I am extremely impressed by C-dory. To get a pilot house in a Whaler, it costs about $400,000!
Beach Donkey looks fabulous! We love what you guys have done. Feel free to send us any new photos for Instagram and Facebook… love seeing your adventures!
We had a brand new 23 Venture. Now I'm looking at the 26, with twin engines only or the Tomcat. But I really want a Helmsmen 38E. Little differences in price though.
We thought about it but as you move further towards the bow of the boat, the floor is curved a little. It’s the hull of the boat and takes in that shape. The back is flatter. We’ve actually talked about putting down some type of teak looking sea deck instead of carpet. I definitely agree that the teak wood is a much nicer look and feel.
I have a C-Dory 22 and boat on Georgian Bay around Penetang Ontario Canada. It’s fantastic to pull up on Islands and camp for a weekend. I would like to upgrade to the 26 to get more space and amenities.
Great video for planning my own outfitting! Thanks. We recently bought a 2019 26 Venture and are prepping it at our Colorado home for a Great Loop trip next year. Would you mind sharing the company in Gainesville that did your cabinet storage setup? Very nicely done! Amazes me that NMI does nothing to help owners utilize those 2 empty caverns. I’m not willing to do the plastic tote shuffle while living aboard for nine months. ;-)
We are so glad that this video is useful for your Venture as well. My husband used Mirage Manufacturing here in Gainesville, FL. They are the builders of Great Harbour Trawlers, etc. The owner is also a personal friend of my husband's family for many years. Hopefully they will be able to help you or perhaps make a suggestion of someone in your area that you could use. Good luck with the Loop! We hope to do it one day as well. 😉
We still have the Beach Donkey and are just now ready to let her go to move on to other experiences with a different boat. Not completely sure what to ask $$$$$? Will post something specific soon. ;)
Hi!Do you have the contact for the maker as we don’t have them here in Aus but I love the boat looks and rides. And if you could me the rough price please🙏🏼🙏🏼Your reply would greatly appreciated
The manufacturer is C-Dory in Washington, USA. They do not retail. We purchased ours in 2019 from retailer in Florida, the price has gone up since then. I believe they run around 165k and usually come without electronics. However, don't quote me on the $$$. It is a great, versatile boat!!
My husband and I just came across these boats for the 1st time! We are hoping to be purchasing a boat after the 1st of the year. We don't know what we are getting yet. Your video really helped me to see it much better! Thank you! I love all the upgrades! What are the sizes of all the tanks? Thanks for the info in advance! Dayna
Dayna, We are so glad that this video was helpful for you! Our water tank is 30 gallons and the gas tanks (there are 2) are 50 gallons each. There was a blackwater tank of 9 gallons but when we switched out the head to a composting head it was removed.
@@daynaserpa9082 Hope Nicole moves quickly past your area. We are in Alachua and have had wind gusts on and off so far. No rain yet. I am confident it will be diminished by the time it comes thru our area. We are landlocked, which is one main reason we chose the CDory. We can trailer it, with ease, anywhere and explore. We just went out of Jacksonville to Jekyll Island last weekend for the Shrimp & Grits Festival...it was a blast. Also it was a very beautiful area to cruise. We will definitely be doing it again. We keep the Beach Donkey on our property in a covered garage, so it is secure and out of the elements.
@@beachdonkey That is great! So fun to hear about other people's adventures! We have only lived here in Florida for about 15 months. We are always looking for new and fun things to do! I look forward to seeing more of your videos!
We like to cruise at 18 knots to get the best gas mileage, roughly 4 - 4.5 miles to the gallon. However, it is very comfortable around 25 knots in 1' chop, just depends on conditions.
It really depends on a lot of factors. The boat comes without an engine, electronics, etc. So depending on how it is outfitted it could range from 130’s to 170’s. We looked at other boats with a lot more bells and whistles that are trailerable. They were easily twice the price that we paid. The value of this boat far exceeds the cost, in our opinion. Thanks for the good question.
Great Video, very well dont. Theres not enough tours and adventures of the C-Dory! Looking forward to more posts, Dory on the water, Have Fun!!😀👍

Awesome boat, thanks for the detailed walk through!!!!
Thanks for the compliment! We enjoy your videos as well. 😉
Great video. I like the subtle upgrades you did, especially the pantry shelving and the flat surface bottoms.
Just viewed this C Dory review and tour. You did a great job and on behalf of those researching the C Dory we appreciate your efforts. Thanks Again

Well done thank you. Your guided trip was very good and answered a lot of questions.

Those teak squares look great! Why don't you replace the carpet with them? It would give the boat a classic look and feel.

There needs to be a version where the cockpit takes up more of the boat, to fit a better shower and more storage.
A 30’ or 35’ would be nice;)

@@beachdonkey Thank you for the quick response! We are here in Melbourne. Doing ok with the hurricane. Very, very windy. I hope it doesn't affect you.

Hello again! Did you ever upgrade to a bigger boat? Or do you still have the 25?
Nice boat! What kinda of speed and fuel numbers do you get out of the 200?

Can you please send me the link to the wood flooring pieces on Amazon. I can’t find them. Thank you.

Thanks so much. Love your videos. Just purchased a 26’ Cape Cruiser. Can’t wait for the adventures. Will be doing the big loop soon.
Where did you buy your boat and we’re you happy with the sales person.is your 200 fly by wire.
We bought our boat from the only dealer in Florida. We are hesitant to recommend them. Also, our 200 is not fly by wire. Thanks for your inquiry.
@@beachdonkey thank you so very much. Ask them for info and get no response. Business has been so good they don’t care.
Are you happy with your boat. I forgot is your c dory a 22.
@@edwardmiskotten2380 we are very happy with it now. It is a Venture 26 Sport. It is perfect for us!!

You couldn't buy an American made motor for the boat?
Didn’t do shit without skipping across the water
