This song was playing on my headphones as our Blackhawk landed in a remote area of Afghanistan right on top of a Taliban hideout one night. About 500 Taliban ran out and showered our chopper with bullets. Mind you, all of my men died except myself. I took out 300 of them with my bare hands and was eventually captured. I was taken to a secret hideout and spent many months being tortured and beaten. Eventually I was able to escape one night while we were on the move to a new location. I was able to make it to a small village (exhausted and nearly dead) and by their kindness was taken in and fed. The Taliban somehow learnt of my location and stormed the village with mortar, rpgs and gunfire. I eventually escaped on a mule to a border and from there was handed over to authorities. Eventually I was taken to a nearby airfield and flown home. Don't believe me? You're fucking dead, kiddo.

I've got to say, this was hands down, the worst experience I've ever had at McDonalds, and I'm glad this subreddit exists so I can vent this experience off to people who understand. I was on a road trip across 3 states in Australia (A fair dinkum long way). As such, a few trips to McDonalds were planned throughout the trip. This is the story of the first (and only) time we stopped at McDonalds. It was around 11am, and I hadn't eaten breakfast as we had to leave quite urgently. We get to McDonalds and the first thing I see is Minion stickers all over the wall to the building, and then even more stickers plastered all over the glass door. I read that today is "Minion Day!". This annoys me as I can only ever minions as the money making claw machine fodder that they truly are. As you can imagine, seeing this thinly-veiled money grab only gave my hate of these things even more justification. As soon as I opened the door, I saw about 20 kids, all around the age of 5-7, running around crazily inside the store wearing minion yellow clothing and cardboard goggles, screaming at the top of their lungs. I was still really hungry though, so I headed into the queue. On my way there, 3 children and their mother ran straight into me and refused to apologise. In saying this, I am not using the behaviour of crazed children as an excuse to hate minions even more, however it certainly didn't make me hate them any less. After making my order, I waded through yellow balloons to make my way to the tables. Half of the tables were taken up by minions, and the half that weren't had smooshed bananas over them. I found the one table that was yet to be touched by the minionopolis. I ate my meal accompanied by the sounds of screaming children in the playground, and the very best (?) of country singles on the Country MTV. It was hard to avoid the stupid smug smiles of the minions on all the screens and advertisable surfaces in the restaurant, but boy did I try. While trying to talk to my family, I am interrupted many times by the almost continuous screaming of minions, which had finished in the playground and were coming back in to continue their screaming and banana throwing festival. When we finished our meals, we cleaned our table and threw away the rubbish in the bins (unsurprisingly something minions don't seem to grasp the concept of anyway). I tried to make my way to the exit as quickly as possible, however even upon exiting the place, I am greeted by some mole man smiling at me dripping with yellow paint on his face and a yellow pillow case fashioned into some sort of Link hat. He was holding the door open and just as I was about to say "Thank you." one last minion slammed into the door on their way out, dropping to the floor which meant I was stuck between deciding whether to step over him, or wait for him to get up. I waited the few extra seconds but still, I was pretty annoyed. I then quickly left and got back into the car, making the vow to never go to another McDonalds for the entire duration of the trip. And I didn't. Because I didn't have to. And KFC was ok.
