I always felt pain in my shins when walking on the treadmill. I thought there was a problem with me and my shins. Thank you so much!

Back when I first started running, I bought some UA trail running shoes and at first my technique was terrible, I was stomping and landing on my heels and got knee issues. At the time I didn't know there's technique in running, but once I learned to land on mid to front of the foot, the knee issues went away. I would run on dirt trails and paved trails with those trail shoes, but once those trail running shoes got worn, I decided to try out "flat road" shoes. Ever since I've had shin splint issues. The trail shoes had a lot of tread at the bottom and the road shoes are completely flat, obviously, so that's what got me thinking that maybe it's the flat shoes that started causes the shin splints. My technique still needs improving, so like you said, my muscles around the tibia are overcompisating for the lack of shock absorption (and also possibly imperfect technique) from the flat shoes. I may go back to trail shoes to see if that helps with the shin splints. Thanks

@@user-vx2yh2ue6v dont know! Have to get your feet checked! Go to a running-specific store like the running room (in Canada) and they should be able to help you there.
