I always find it amusing no one remembers that the Degasi was shot down as well. It's one of many ships crashed on the planet and it's actually quite likely that some of the more far flung pieces of crashed ships you find aren't from the Aurora at all, but from the Degasi and other ships that got shot down by the containment weapon.
That isn't quite the case, because based on the lore, the crew scrapped all pieces of their ship to build the bases :) (they could've missed a piece of course) but I imagine they would be much more worn down.
@@TheLastBacon All pieces they could FIND. Some of the further bits could be from the Degassi but I very much doubt any of the big, explorable bits would be.
@@TheLastBacon I remember e PDA bringing up them being shot down by something. Then they used the remains of their ship to build bases. I think it's rather silly that they strand themselves on purpose by scrapping a functional ship.
@@TheLastBacon So to sum up - shipwrecks you explore are older ships that were shot down as Aurora is more-or-less one crash site and Degassi was already processed. Which btw. was what I had in my mind when I was playing the game.
Feeding fish to stalkers isn't only used for stopping attacks temporarily. If you feed them enough fish in a row you will 'tame' them and they start bringing you scrap metal pieces. Pretty useful overall when trying to stock up on titanium or teeth quickly. You can even drop a grav trap nearby to collect more fish for you to give the stalkers. They might eat some of the fish caught in the grav trap before you pick them up, but it only counts for taming if you hand feed them.
10:33 there is/was a secret voiceline for the Seamoth, where they said “I love it when you come inside me.” I’m pretty confident this got removed prior the official release as I’ve never had it happen to me

Theory: every time you head into the void, not only are ghost leviathans watching you, extremely deep down a living gargantuan leviathan is watching you....
Imagine if you go too far into the void a 2km sea snakes appears in front of you (btw if you want that experience theres a mod that adds the gargantuan to the game in the void)
I think I know why there is no crush depth in the Emperor's tank. Despite being the biggest leviathan and much too big to fit in most parts of the map, the hatching enzymes are from relatively shallow water plants, which suggests that the emperor is more accustomed to shallow water than the deep sea. So because an emperor is used to shallow waters and not the crushing depths of the lava zones, the Precursors engineered her tank to have a less crushing impact on the last chance of survival.
@@TheLastBacon Perhaps - in a terrifying thought - They are some of the most shallow void-dwelling leviathans, which also likely means smallest and least dangerous (which we know the latter to be true.) Has me even more scared to what's out there.
@Nightwing36 Responding to your old comment, but I just finished the game so this is fresh on my mind: I read a PDA entry that said the eggs/hatchlings are likely suited to different environmental conditions than the adult sea emperors. I think I read this when I scanned the sea emperor eggs. So my guess is the young grow up in the shallows and then migrate to the void when they grow up.
I have this very absurd theory, theorizing that potentially, with enough Repair Tools, you could fix up the Aurora and take off with it. It would certainly be interesting.
I managed to disable the QEP before Sunbeam once, and I thought I was about to unlock a secret good ending r something. Was so disappointed when the Sunbeam said they couldn’t land, I loaded a new world and let them get hit this time 🤠
They should also have some sort of cyclops shield generator for example if there is a asteroid on course to meet them they can simply just turn on a shield generator instead of turning so they probably were lying about the debris field
I've been very interested with some of the things that were "lost in development" like the Hell Hole which leads to the Inactive Lava Zone, cut biomes like the single cell landscape, and other awesome stuff which were scrapped and never implemented, but oh well, maybe they will add them to the third game then (if there will be one eventually).
@@LilacVeritas There is a deep pit in the lost river that leads directly to the lava zone, which I think is a reference to the old hell hole. There’s even a leviathan above it! Though it’s a ghost instead of a reaper. Also I think it’s canonically the path the dragons use.
The observatory may also be its own biome because it has its own specific musical track. Every time you enter one the track "Observatory Zen" will start playing.
Imagine you are a Sea Dragon and you just had an amazing Reaper snack. And than you notice a little rib bone stuck in your teeth and you just can't get it out. No wonder they are allways pissed off
"Weapons were removed from standard survival blueprints following the massacre on Abraxus Prime. The Knife remains the only exception" is further referencing the shooting that took place.
That "quantum detonation" made me think they were going to go somewhere with a time loop. I think it would have been super cool to have a story that played around with such things.
Speaking of a peeper leviathan, I once encountered a ghost leviathan with the model of a peeper. Yes that tiny thing was roaring at me and actually killed me. Never saw it again in the void. Now THAT’s a glitch.
I got the "no water" glitch when docking my Prawn suit into the moonpool. Instead of animating the character climbing out into the base, it instead ejected me down to the sea floor where I was able to walk around as if there was no water, complete with the footstep sounds you get when you're inside the base.
I got this glitch today in Below Zero after saving my game halfway inside a moonpool’s water surface. I thought I ruined my playthrough, but thankfully the bug left when I reloaded
I always thought the PDA voice was just a text-to-speech program in-universe, and is just the PDA itself - after all, why wouldn't your survival device have a limited AI?
I was ten minutes into playing this game for the first time, just admiring the fishies in the shallows, then I turn around and BOOM REAPER and I turned off the game
I remember when I first started playing.. I had seen all the videos so I thought I knew everything. So i decided I wanted to build a base! I had no idea where the floating island was but I knew its general direction, so I headed that way. I swam.. and swam.. without a seaglide mind you.. and swam.. and swam... Annnd.. ended up on the surface of the void. I had no idea until a ghost leviathan broke the surface right next to me. After a quick pause and small heart attack.. I decided to just turn around and curl up into a ball in my lifepod.
One thing that doesn’t check out about the giant reefback theory is all the geothermal activity, lava and what not:/ I’m not so sure it’d be coming from one giant reefback. But imagine how cool that’d be if we discovered that we’ve been on a ginormous creature this whole time as part of the late/end game.
16:42 Can confirm Reapers in the Safe Shallows. On my first Hardcore playthrough a Reaper attacked my Cyclops near the Aurora crash site, I bailed and fled with a Seamoth, came back later to find the cyclops hadn't been destroyed so I quickly repaired it and headed back to my base with it, but on the way a reaper decided to follow me all the way back to my base in the safe shallows, then glitched out, and wouldn't leave. The entire rest of that playthrough I had to scramble quickly to get distance from my base every time I stepped outside because the Reaper was right there, which greatly amped up the stress that the perma-death mode already had for my first run.
I'm very glad that the "No water" glitch was included, as I have experienced several times when I was exploring in creative mode and when I used the ghost command, it would turn off the water sometimes. It was very strange, but I'm glad to know that this kind of thing exists for multiple people, not just me, and amazing video!
I figured this glitch out for my self and couldnt stop it because i couldnt get in a seabase or out the water ( for those who dont know thats the way you fix the glitch atleast the way i done it)
I had a bug once in below zero when I got out of my Seattruck where I just fell down to the sea floor and my seamoth just floated there above me And I was still losing oxygen so I ended up dying and spawning back at my base fixing the bug
A few things you and the iceberg itself have missed out on: •There was originally an option to dig sand in the game’s earliest first versions, it’s purpose was to uncover outcrops, fragments and even some supply crates that were buried under the sand, this was soon removed likely for the same reasons as the terraformer not being craftable in the game. •The PDA’s voice isn’t a singular voice actor, the voice of the PDA and every other robotic voice we hear in the game (excluding the warpers) were made from stock text-to-speech voices (I presume Microsoft’s generic text-to-speech voices they have) and were mixed through audio editing software (presumably something like Audacity) to make them sound the way they are currently. •At one point in the game there was a cut tool that was meant to be able to pick out DNA from other fish and grant you a temporary buff when you injected the DNA into yourself, it even came with its own buildable fabricator which let you mix multiple dna samples together but was scrapped from the game mid-development, despite the fully modelled and animated tool and fabricator. I unfortunately don’t think its still able to be acquired via console commands like the terraformer. •A lot of the models and their textures were changed through development of the game but the most notable one was the mobile vehicle bay that was just a square object when it was crafted, the relevance of this stems from the fact that it was the longest thing in the game without a proper model and icon, I can’t fully remember if it was even textured or not but considering that it was earlier on in development then it possibly wasn’t. This entry isn’t as interesting to include but I found it strange nonetheless. •Take this one with a grain of salt, but there was originally a bugged / misplaced reaper spawn somewhere in the edges of the safe shallows, it had a very small chance of happening but it was still able to happen, this might have stemmed the other entry that reapers can come into the safe shallows if you are chased by them for long enough. •The game at one point had bad language in it; a while ago before the game’s launch, awesomecrunch live streamed an interview with one of the game’s developers and asked if the game was meant to have bad language in it at all and the developer answered that it wasn’t intended but the voice actor for Marguerite swore in her voice lines once and of course re-did the lines as the game wasn’t meant to have bad language. This also ties in with the sunbeam having it’s voice acting redone in a different tone, there wasn’t any mistakes in the voice acting, they just felt that the tone of the sunbeam personally should be less aggressive. •There was originally another entrance to the active lava zone which lead from directly under the front of the Aurora (many may remember this as it was removed late development due to it’s existence nullifying the need to go through to the lost river, the entire tunnel was patched up and cannot be entered unless you were to make it yourself with the terraformer). This change does unfortunately complicate the idea of sea dragons going up to the surface to drag down reaper leviathans for their dinner and adds a small plot hole. Another thing I would like to add is that a third entrance to the jelly-shroom cave was also present in earlier versions of the game in the grassy plateau but as well suffered the same fate by being patched up mid development. •In it’s earliest versions, the game had very very strange tall pillars of terrain that surrounded the map that had a very eerie ambience that played when they loaded in, these could be found when you swam out to the void, just outside of the game’s playable area. I personally would assume these pillars were put there to possibly mark how big they were gonna expand the map and what the limit was going to be, but the music that was seemingly specifically scripted to play when they were loaded in makes me think otherwise.
I actually only just remembered this now but there was originally yet another alternative entrance to the inactive lava zone that you could access on the eastern fringe of the big mushroom forest as it enters the dunes biome, the tunnel was a wide crevice that would lead directly to the ILZ like the one underneath the aurora; this tunnel as well got patched up at the exact same time as the one the at aurora, leaving the only entrance being through the lost river from that point on. I wish they had left this tunnel in as a hidden entrance as it would make a lot more sense for the sea dragon to come up and grab some reaper leviathans for lunch as it’s just as populated with reapers alongside the crash zone.
I always thought that if they make a multiplayer version for Subnautica it would start with both players being on different pods across the map and they have to find each other using clues and the compass
That's not purely contrived by the developers. Islands in mid-ocean really do tend to attract clouds, because their higher elevation causes humidity to condense along their flanks. Ocean explorers in the past watched for stationary cloud banks that indicated land, all the time.
When I was first getting into this game I was convinced that the peepers were the key to the story. The weird enzyme ones that seemed to want to be eaten, the fact that they were swimming in and out of alien vents, which had weird currents coming in and out... I was convinced that the peepers were connected with the aliens in a direct way. I'm still disappointed. Also, I built a base in the sparse reef and never heard any china...
but the peepers are the key, aren't they? they are the way through which the sea emperor gave around the enzyme 42, and that's the reason they went through the vents. they are connected with the main lore
@@francybenzI meant like I thought they *were* the aliens, or their larvae, or something. But no, turns out the only special thing about them is that they're slightly more trainable than the average fish.
The 'Frozen biome in tropics' theory may refer to the fact that when orbiting the planet before the game ends in the neptune, we can see that there is a large white, frozen continent that should located at the north and south of the planets poles but has been mistakenly placed in the tropics region of the globe by the devs for the cutscene.
@@koy_medina32 it's kind of like a chart of theories/lore things, and the deeper on the iceberg they get, the more mysterious/creepy they get. You could probably find a better explanation on google

13:00 someone actually made a mod that lets you do multiplayer up to 2P it works, slightly buggy but works. They can join your game and so forth. Only issue is that the game is based rendering is on the main character, so if the other player took off to another spot, it would lag the hell out of the game. So a rework for multiplayer makes sense.
16:43 happens a lot when you fight the reaper with the prawn suit (grapple and drill arm). You can basically direct every last reaper to the safe shallow because when their HP drops under a certain threshold they "flee" to the middle of the map (safe shallow). Other fish/leviathans will do this too
BRO when the cyclops gave me that line I was pretty riled up from what was outside and just got so confused but I loved it. felt good, "on the planet" ahahah
16:40 When I used to play the old builds back in the Early Access days, I always saw a random reaper in the safe shallows after returning from an Aurora trip. It would happen consistently. I would go to Aurora, do stuff, go back and while looking out towards the lifepod, I would see a Reaper jumping out of the water. I once even freecam'd to the Aurora to get a closer look quickly for some reason and when I came back I saw a Reaper in my face. I am fairly sure that the build I played had a hardcoded Reaper spawn in the safe shallows when the player is really far away. It despawns when you get close to safe shallows tho, since I never saw it after getting back to the area around the lifepod. Now I'm really curious and want to revert to whichever build that was.
Literally had a Reaper destroy my Seamoth in the safe Shallows just two weeks ago. Never saw him before in this exploring session and then I hear a loung bang. I turned around and see my Seamoth destroyed with a Reaper tail disappearing into the distance. Haven't felt safe in the Shallows since.
Yeah, had to kill a reaper that was attaching my main base is the shallows. Not sure if he was glitched or some super unlucky spawn. Either way, 1000 knives later I had a dead reaper decoration floating around for a bit.
The ‘ice zone in the tropics’ entry on the iceberg, which you note you don’t really understand what it means… I believe it is referring the fact that in the ending cinematic, when the character looks back to the left at 4546b one last time, there is an arctic continent seen on the opposite side of the planet to where the crater is. And the LATITUDE of this ice continent is by the equator, aka, the tropics (between 30.30 deg N or S).
The Sea Emperor Crush Depth one should be 45o2 as that's how water pressure works. It's 100% fact. If one were to find an under-water cave at the bottom of the Mariana Trench, and they blocked off the entrance (like how the force-field for the entrance to the Sea Emperor containment facility does), then the water pressure inside the cave would become just the pressure for the volume of water inside the contained area. Unblock the cave and it adds the full pressure of the rest of the ocean outside, but otherwise, yeah.
People 1500+ years ago: Earth is on a turtle's back. Subnautica players: Subnautica world is on a reefback's back. Me: It's evolving, just backwards. Edit: Thanks for the likes
15:52 ACTUALLY, there did used to be a terrain editor in Subnautica back during the very early alpha/beta builds, however it had to be removed because it was putting serious strain on the game engine following extensive use, not to mention some players figured out that a combination of terrain editor + air pipes meant you could just skip the whole game and bore a hole into to the lava zone.

I remember, I was playing Subnautica, and my scanner room flooded so I Picked up my camera drone and Yeeted it inside the scanner room, and the room still technically had water physics for the drone so I saw myself in third person view
The reaper can either spawn or follow you to the landing zone. It happened to me and I was very confused and scared since it happened like halfway through the game (luckily I had already made my base far away)
I was in the building all the way in the room where you disable the gun, and after it rejected my attempt, a reaper swam THROUGH the entire room and I nearly quit my game then and there
Yes, a Reaper did follow me back to my base after I was going on a supply run for the Cyclops (Near the Aurora). It hasn’t left and was a pain to get by when completing the game.
When playing through subnautica for the first time recently, I got a glitched, invisible reaper in the safe shallows for a while, so maybe that's what the safe shallows reaper entry is referring to?
In my game I have glitched Ampeels; one in shallows and one in kelp forest. I can't even go down that far yet but ok lol, just have to listen for the buzzing sounds
@@chai_burns one time i had a crabsquid next to the lifepod and an ampeel at the back of the aurora i really wasn't expecting the crabsquid so it scared the hell out of me
I think i remember hearing something about the biome in the crash zone.. It was a way for the last remaining sea emperors to swim out to the surface in order to hunt reaper leviathans, however the Aurora crashed on top of their only way of getting to the surface to do so, or something like that
Subnautica 3 I hope sticks to the same formula but I also hope it incorporates multiplayer, where you are stranded at different points of the map, however it is massive and you have no way of finding each other other than navigation/ large island, I think that would be really cool and I hope they explore something like it
Your iceberg is very great! However, you missed some details. :3 The most geadly and concistent weapon in this game is PRAWN propultion arm with any mushrooms selected from exosuit stash (by pressing F button on keyboard). You can permanently move leviathans by frightening them (dealing damage). Also, you can pacify any big predators by feeding fish to them. Even the one mentioned previously. There is even a chance you can tame a stalker to bring you the metal scrap. And finally, you didn't mentioned early game WIP version of lava caves and cyclops 3000+ depth modules. P.S. RIP seamoth joke line
The seamoth also had a rare voice line ""I love it when you come inside me". It was removed as the game as this single line would have made Subnatica an R rated game.
Looking through these comments and watching the video makes me glad I found this channel. You reply regularly, and make good, concise content. Keep up the great work, friend, can't wait to see more!
Actually terraformer is still in game, you can get it through console commands. But any terrain changes you make with it won't save. As I remember the reason to remove terraformer was because saving all terrain changes increased save files to gigabytes.
The “No Water” thing actually happened to me once in experimental mode. I had no idea what caused it, but I fixed it by jumping into my cyclops somehow.
when i do the "ghost" command inside my base then turn it off outiside my base i get that glitch it happened once when i was building a base in the deadzone and i nearly fell all the way down
Well, a funny thing happened to me a couple months ago while playing Subnautica. A reaper glitched into the safe shallows. But even more, I killed it with the drill arm upgrade for the prawn suit in survival mode. Well, that about wraps up my story
There should be a part in Subnautica where when activating one of the systems on the rocket, it fails and the only place detected that has the materials to fix it is in a small opening/cave in the dead zone and you have to go into the dead zone so it's actually part of the story
I don't know whether or not it was removed in the final version, but in one of the earlier betas you could sometimes randomly get a radio message that says "You've been down too long in the midnight sea, oh don't you see what I mean?" which is a reference to a song called Holy Diver. Also the Safe Shallows Reaper thing might be a reference to a rumor I heard which says if you use a grappling hook on a reaper too much, it will eventually swim to the Safe Shallows and stay there to "punish" the player.
The part about reapers in the safe shallows is absolutely true. I was fighting the one behind the Aurora in my prawn and I kept getting grabbed and dragged toward the shallows. I got a screenshot of the body there too
Im shocked and terrified of the lost river, mainly due to all the massive remains of leviathans. And it makes me wonder, especially for the biggest skeleton there, is it still alive out there? If so. We may have a problem. (Also I seriously didn’t know about the secret with the sunbeam and turning the gun off before that, awesome stuff!)
Adding onto building onto the Aurora: External pieces in the builder tool, like thermal power plants and spotlights, etc... can be placed pretty much anywhere as long as there is a solid ground. Not only on terrain but also on tree mushrooms, in precursor structures, on the Aurora, on your base, in caves, on the Neptune rocket, you name it.
I’m sorry. I just heard Precursors in reference to a sci-if game, and all I could think of was Halo, leading my Halo-addicted/withdrawn mind to jump to the conclusion that Halo and Subnautica are part of the same universe.
I mean the concept of the "precursors" is a pretty generic Sci-Fi trope that shows up in just about every universe, I actually think it might be more difficult to name space Sci-Fi works that don't feature the concept, as opposed to ones that do.

Maybe yeah - even though they supposedly lived out in the void, where I'd imagine they'd have to be accustomed to depth :)
Or maybe there’s no crush depth because the air pressure and water is the same as that near the open ocean (physics idk)
@@TheLastBacon Perhaps - in a terrifying thought - They are some of the most shallow void-dwelling leviathans, which also likely means smallest and least dangerous (which we know the latter to be true.) Has me even more scared to what's out there.

I read a PDA entry that said the eggs/hatchlings are likely suited to different environmental conditions than the adult sea emperors. I think I read this when I scanned the sea emperor eggs.

A few things you and the iceberg itself have missed out on:
•There was originally an option to dig sand in the game’s earliest first versions, it’s purpose was to uncover outcrops, fragments and even some supply crates that were buried under the sand, this was soon removed likely for the same reasons as the terraformer not being craftable in the game.
Very good additions :) I especially love the last point since it isn't known by a lot of people!
Indeed, I remember it all the way back and has been something not entirely known by everyone for some time
I actually only just remembered this now but there was originally yet another alternative entrance to the inactive lava zone that you could access on the eastern fringe of the big mushroom forest as it enters the dunes biome, the tunnel was a wide crevice that would lead directly to the ILZ like the one underneath the aurora; this tunnel as well got patched up at the exact same time as the one the at aurora, leaving the only entrance being through the lost river from that point on. I wish they had left this tunnel in as a hidden entrance as it would make a lot more sense for the sea dragon to come up and grab some reaper leviathans for lunch as it’s just as populated with reapers alongside the crash zone.
The DNA tool can be spawned, but it can't do anything.
I always thought that if they make a multiplayer version for Subnautica it would start with both players being on different pods across the map and they have to find each other using clues and the compass
Yeah that would be a good way to start it :)
When I saw heavy clouds close to water in specific areas, I almost immediately guessed they hid something of value
Smart :)
That's not purely contrived by the developers. Islands in mid-ocean really do tend to attract clouds, because their higher elevation causes humidity to condense along their flanks. Ocean explorers in the past watched for stationary cloud banks that indicated land, all the time.
By “safe shallows reaper” don’t they mean the reaper roars that you hear from the safe shallows in the background?
I suppose that's possible yeah :)

Probably a way for the dragons to hunt right? :) Given the skeletons in the lava zone.
I think you mean sea dragons.
Subnautica 3 I hope sticks to the same formula but I also hope it incorporates multiplayer, where you are stranded at different points of the map, however it is massive and you have no way of finding each other other than navigation/ large island, I think that would be really cool and I hope they explore something like it
Yep having some optional multiplayer sounds awesome! :)
Your iceberg is very great! However, you missed some details. :3
The most geadly and concistent weapon in this game is PRAWN propultion arm with any mushrooms selected from exosuit stash (by pressing F button on keyboard).
RIP Seamoth line indeed :) And thank you for the interesting additions!
The seamoth also had a rare voice line ""I love it when you come inside me".
It was removed as the game as this single line would have made Subnatica an R rated game.
Haha yeah that one was awesome too :)

I knew the terraformer tool wasn’t a fever dream!
It was real for some time :)
whenever I'd think the terraformer was real, I was on spice, so it was a fever dream for me
Actually terraformer is still in game, you can get it through console commands. But any terrain changes you make with it won't save. As I remember the reason to remove terraformer was because saving all terrain changes increased save files to gigabytes.
@@lis7175 jesus. definitely a good call to remove it if it made literal saved data gigabyte-size.
The “No Water” thing actually happened to me once in experimental mode. I had no idea what caused it, but I fixed it by jumping into my cyclops somehow.
Yeah it is a surprisingly common bug :)
when i do the "ghost" command inside my base then turn it off outiside my base i get that glitch it happened once when i was building a base in the deadzone and i nearly fell all the way down
Well, a funny thing happened to me a couple months ago while playing Subnautica. A reaper glitched into the safe shallows. But even more, I killed it with the drill arm upgrade for the prawn suit in survival mode. Well, that about wraps up my story
Must've been an unpleasant discovery in the shallows! :)
Wait is the Noise that plays when you talk about a subject is Reefback's noise?
Oh in the transitions? :) No - it’s from Stalker.
I KNEW I RECOGNIZED THOSE NOISES FROM SOMEWHERE! I started getting flashbacks to Shadow of Chernobyl but I didn't know why until now

I ironically named my Prawn Suit, District 9, before even knowing this video existed. District 9 is one of my favorite videos of all time.
Definitely a fitting name! :)
There should be a part in Subnautica where when activating one of the systems on the rocket, it fails and the only place detected that has the materials to fix it is in a small opening/cave in the dead zone and you have to go into the dead zone so it's actually part of the story
Yeah I totally think the game should've had you do something small in or near the dead zone before the end :)

I got no ads too 🤔
How is nobody gunna talk about the sea moth saying lewd stuff in the early versions of the game
Such a shame that got cut :)
@@TheLastBacon WHY DID YOU NOT MENTION IT HUH
Example?
@@cascas9656 a cut voice line was “ I love it when you come inside me
@@John-iv2xy Ok frankly I'm glad that was cut. That would take me right out of the game
Oh dang I love the Holy Diver reference :D Really hope that’s a thing!
Fucking nice i never knew that! Love Dio 🤘🤘🤘
This channel deserves so much more attention
Thank you for the kind words :)
i agree

Omg I literally flooded the base and got the camera inside to see my character I’m so stupid lmao
That's also a way to do it :)
The part about reapers in the safe shallows is absolutely true. I was fighting the one behind the Aurora in my prawn and I kept getting grabbed and dragged toward the shallows. I got a screenshot of the body there too
Yikes that must've been uncomfortable :)
Yeah it is a really spooky thought :) Imagine all the things that could still be alive out there in the void!
That is a good point :) .....wonder why the devs made it that way.
The tip:
Everybody was vibing to abandon ship but Riley had AirPods in thus he was the only one who escaped
Ah that makes sense :D
@@TheLastBacon yes it does.
I’m sorry. I just heard Precursors in reference to a sci-if game, and all I could think of was Halo, leading my Halo-addicted/withdrawn mind to jump to the conclusion that Halo and Subnautica are part of the same universe.
Haha now that would be an ambitious crossover :)
Inb4 Subnautica is on a halo
I mean the concept of the "precursors" is a pretty generic Sci-Fi trope that shows up in just about every universe, I actually think it might be more difficult to name space Sci-Fi works that don't feature the concept, as opposed to ones that do.
