- We had a very rare set of circumstances where we had a 1998 early and immaculate 986 Boxster 2.5 in stock that was sold, and we also had a 2005 very end of the line facelift 986 2.7 so we thought it would be fun to show the early through til late models.

great video, its reassuring to know there are other people like me in the world. the early cars are the nicest.
I have a 2004 Boxster S it’s been the best car experience I’ve ever had!
2000 Boxster S here. Yes, I absolutely love this car. Get the S ...
@@boyracer3477 2000 S here also, best car I've ever owned
@@norfolkpartisan5767 Yes, my employer had a collection of Ferraris, Lambos, Corvettes and more, quite a varied collection that were in my building and I could play with them as I wanted. I always lusted after a Dino until I read it's specs. The Boxster beats them at a small fraction of the price. An amazing car, especially for the cost. Enjoy!
The 98 looks beautiful in red.👍
Just clocked 177k on my 07 S. Love it..
Love the words 'to be honest' on the video, not a lot of car dealers are.....
first Boxster in the USA was 1996. I own a 1998 w 22,000 miles. great car. lots of fun.
Great little video. This is what TH-cam was made for.
I have a 99' Arena Red with a glass screen and the later taillights. It updates the car while keeping the oem look.
Thank you for this nice video
Got a 2001s. Love it

If I need one of sports car how do I go about it
I'm serious about buying a porshe boxster but never owned one. Are they expensive to keep IE fuel and in particular service parts etc please can someone help and also are they reliable
Yes, all Porsche's are expensive & all old cars cost money. It's not a budget car. No matter how well looked after, parts reach the end of their natural life and need to be replaced. Budget £1500 a year, keep a decent cash reserve in case and use a specialist. Drive a 2.7 sensibly and fuel shouldn't be an issue. Hammer the arse out of an S and it will be. There are known issues around the IMS bearing and bore-scoring on early ones.
@@jonpick5045 thanks for the advice think I will give the boxster a miss as don't think it's worth the hassle
I have a 997 and many Boxster's share a lot of the same parts as the equivalent 911, so in this case the 996. From a repair, parts, labour perspective, do not expect a huge reduction in the cost of repairing/maintaining this vs owning a car 3x+ the price i.e. the 996. Something often neglected to be shared in videos on the older boxsters, the £5k/£6k entry is just the start.
Wow that Golf!
I have a 1996 one lol
