Wow. Just wow. How did I miss this? Myself 10yo by the date of this event, includes all my idols by the time, but first time I hear about it. So great.
Could something similar happen in such a relaxed amateur atmosphere today, without speed talkers, constant zooming, eager mood-building background music - but on the contrary solely with these men having fun with simple play, like it was in elementary school? I hardly doubt.
Happy days! ❤❤
Stenmark was a force of nature. People stopped working just to watch him ski. And then they went back to work after his run was over, 2 minutes later. Decades later he was a marvel in the Champion of Champions reality series, ofc winning the whole thing. With a quarter of the population watching. Those are Melodifestivalen numbers, absolutely crazy.
My favorite athlete of all time, Sugar ray Leonard and im swedish
This could never happen today, so big stars in a play competition, when they were still active.
It is happening very soon. Duplantis vs. Warholm 100m race. Not as huge as this of course but still a play competition with active athletes.
@@pierrenilsson6189 So you're comparing a single stunt to an organized race series?
@@royaumeuni5730Was this some series? Cool.
@@royaumeuni5730 Organized race series? Do you refer to the event in the vid or the Duplantis vs. Warholm event? In both cases I'm pretty amazed if that's the case!
@@stenovitz I refer to Superstars from the '70s

Stenmark cleared 1.26 in standing high jump at 56 years of age, which is pretty crazy considering he's relatively short.
He is 1,81… I wouldn’t say he is ”short”.
And still competing...
Swedish mountains makes people rock!
@@daionsavage Tell me you're not Swedish without telling me. 1,81 is Willow-tier.
@@Nerdcrusher It's average, not short.
@@Nerdcrusher1,81 m is basically the average male height in Sweden.
Stenmark would have been a world star no matter what sport he would have chosen.
Ingemar dominated long jump in this weird allstars-decathlon?
Förvånar mig inte med tanke på hur överlägsen han var på allt i Mästarnas Mästare. Han är en bra multisportare och såg ut gå in för det även här.
Han vann rubbet i det stora hela. Pele var helt kass och kunde knappt cykla.
Stenmark wins. Second place after sunrise in the category of least surprising events.
No surprise that Stenmark won.
The run ups look so slow some of them generate an amazing jump considering
Thanks for spoiling it
Think I jump 5.50 only Ingmar impress as usuall!
Vem var Stefan Persson?
En hockeyspelare från Västerbotten som bl.a. vann fyra Stanley Cup med Islanders.
@@bjornep2 Tack, då har man lärt sig något.
Stupid competition.
horrible running styles etc. etc.
