Cocky reporter! Wtf 🤬
horrible running styles etc. etc.
Why morceli couldnt make a good performance like 96 ?😮
The race looks pretty slow visually, probably for poor technique, but this is actually a very fast race.
Cheat
Stenmark wins. Second place after sunrise in the category of least surprising events.
Stenmark cleared 1.26 in standing high jump at 56 years of age, which is pretty crazy considering he's relatively short.
Era todo potencia, sin lluvia hubiera bajado de 21,30
The great Ron Pickering helping with the commentary here!
Kirsten Krabbe? 😂
Man that’s even more racist with the Chinese dub. A train baby
Thats just crazy. Im 19 jumping 2.08 not even that good
Ben greatest athelets the unluckiest person
Brilliant.
Ingemar Stenmark is awesome. m.th-cam.com/video/9l5pq2J4amk/w-d-xo.html At the age of 56 years old he did this jump in the swedish champs of the champ. Must be more than 120 cm or more than 44 inch. But more like around 140 cm or more than 52 inch. Not even bend his knees🤣🤣🤣👍
Merlene Ottey lacked faith.
This was the race that got Ben Johnson shook before Seoul so he had to roid up so more.
From the poor video I have seen it certainly looks like a foul. But as he had already fouled on his first 3 jumps he wasn't entitled to be still jumping. In competitions the normal rule is that after 3 jumps only the top 8 0r 9 go forward to jump. In some competitions it is all those who jump past a qualifying standard. Three fails is always out.
It's not the Tour de France, it's the Criterium International of 1997.
Auf die Frage eines Journalisten, was das Schlimmste wäre, was Sie sich vorstellen könnte, antwortete Flo-Jo: „Wenn Heike Drechsler meinen Arzt hätte!“
This could never happen today, so big stars in a play competition, when they were still active.
It is happening very soon. Duplantis vs. Warholm 100m race. Not as huge as this of course but still a play competition with active athletes.
@@pierrenilsson6189 So you're comparing a single stunt to an organized race series?
@@royaumeuni5730Was this some series? Cool.
What a great finish! Cram was so strong over the last 300 and it’s that strength that won him this race over the fast finishing Aouita. What a great race!
If the 10.49 was wind aided, why didn’t everyone else get faster than normal times? I think Joyner also ran a 10.55 at a different location. Let it go guys
Greatest spriinter of all time, never has there been another to run so gracefully, with speed like a cheetah . Ali had it, and so does Carl , pure poetry in motion.
Long legged like a horse! Such long powerful strides.
Woooow GHANA
😅 even with the best steroids Ben wouldn’t run that fast! I saw without steroids and good coaching without any injuries I think he would run around 9.80 to 9.78 today with the current technology
In the slow motion you don't see the last step: he took off way beyond the jumping line.
He is very good athlete but he disqualified found the drug test
who is here after Amélie?
My uncle Zygmunt Zabierzowski was Juantorena's coach
Elegante ese galope
Usain bolt's instantaneous top end speed is 47.56km/h or 29.55 mi/h at one stride between 50m and 70m in his 9.58 wr run in 2009 according to Wikipedia fastest animals (mamals) speeds.
Most beautiful
Amazing, elegant running style
I remember watching this live. My friend Jason and I were laughing so hard at talking about it the next day. Honestly, it’s less about Carl’s singing and more about how contagious Charley Steiner’s reaction is. Jack Edwards was beside himself. Too funny!
In his recent interview in 2024, he has lowered that time to 9.2!!😱🏃♂️🏃♂️💢💨
Keşke tüm eski sprinterlerin birlikte yarışı olsa...
He always looks like he has super elite top end speed right at the end of the 100m. This might be his ideal race
Amazing performances but, sports science research on J C Owens has already concluded that if he had the benefits now available to modern athletes (particularly track surfaces, starting blocks, training, nutrition, footwear and textiles), his best 100m time of 10.2sec would fall well below 10sec. Thus the throwaway statement about the legendary F G Joyner (10.49sec) beating the legendary James Cleveland Owens, is very inaccurate. Conversely, if FGJ ran under 1930s conditions she would have been significantly slower than in 1988: consider at the time, the fastest woman and Olympic champion, Helen Stephens, was running 11.4sec.
Vor genau !!40 Jahren
FloJo L👀Ks spankin’ in that outfit! 🤩❤
I know who the other 3 are but Wayne Gretzky? What sport did he do?
was there , was Surin therapist at the time , pulled his adductors in the curve
That wasn't the Tour de France but Criterium International (1997)
🎉
This is why they added a soft material on the basketball stand afterwards... Truly tragic and not funny

Ingemar dominated long jump in this weird allstars-decathlon?
Förvånar mig inte med tanke på hur överlägsen han var på allt i Mästarnas Mästare. Han är en bra multisportare och såg ut gå in för det även här.
Han vann rubbet i det stora hela. Pele var helt kass och kunde knappt cykla.
