Respect to Mike, whoever his psychiatrists were they did a great job helping Mike realise that he didn't have to be that guy full of rage and hate, and looks back on his career as a by product of that rage manifest and really understands how his heart was hardened back then. “Boxing is for when you have nothing” - Mike Tyson I completely agree with this. Boxing is for when there are no other choices, it takes so much effort and dedication. Of course not forgetting the pain of getting hit, and the non stop training and pain of losing after all of your hard work. Of course there are people out there who want to become boxers but still, I think those who have no choice but to go into boxing turn out to be the best at it. I mean just look at Mike Tyson for example, he was never gonna have a good life with his criminal record but was inspired by Muhammad Ali and others to join boxing. He was inspired not only because of how good Muhammad Ali was, but also because he realized his life wasn’t over yet. He then became an amazing and notorious boxer(not to mention rich). He had to go through so much hard work and pain to get where he is today.

All respect to Mike Tyson who's definitely one of the greats but Wilder is DEFINITELY one of the hardest hitting heavyweights in history. Put it this way, he's coming in 20-30lbs lighter than his opponents and still generating the kind of power to put them down or out cold.
Coinkidink Fella I agree. Wilder’s definitely up there in terms of power. But again, Tyson’s power was otherworldly. He was 5’10 215-220 knocking out guys who were 6’5 260. He was KOing people with a 12 inch reach on him. Dude had crazy power and unmatched speed.

Respect to Mike, whoever his psychiatrists were they did a great job helping Mike realise that he didn't have to be that guy full of rage and hate, and looks back on his career as a by product of that rage manifest and really understands how his heart was hardened back then. His charity fight with Roy showed another step of healing as a person because he stepped back into the ring but never let that animal out again. Mike Tyson is a prime example of how even the most angry, vicious and unhinged people are capable of being somebody totally different and just need the right help.

“Boxing is for when you have nothing” - Mike Tyson
I completely agree with this.
