This interview will go into the history books of sports journalism. Bravo Joe Rogan! It's so heartwarming to see how Mike Tyson evolved spiritually. He seems to be peaking in his life.
This interview is so good , you can’t stop watching, it’s really great to see. Tyson has found peace of mind, battled in life , battled in the ring, and battled his many demons, and now he’s at peace,, very happy for him
I’ve heard him say he still struggles with “angst” and his “demons” but he fights that now...it’s always a struggle but he tries and that’s what I respect most
Nothing hit mike harder than reality. He might have made mistakes but I don't think many people can claim they have come further in their personal development. From the bottom up.

The best one is Jay Leno getting antsy after like 45 minutes and asking Joe how long his podcasts are. Seems older rich people value time too much to sit around and small talk for 3 and half hours. I’m sure one of Kanye’s rants will be at least an hour.
@Daniel Laze, he's talking about forgetting the status, prestige, power... all of that. Don't be crippled in your next journey by fixating on past accomplishments and success that may not be there anymore. Humble yourself and do work.
"In order to focus on the next chapter of your life, you must forget the previous chapter." I think I know what he meant, but he expressed it badly. It would have been better to say ""In order to focus on the next chapter of your life, although you cannot forget the previous chapter, you must put it behind you."
That comment Mike made about “to move onto the next chapter of your life, you have to forget the last chapter” is some of the wisest words I’ve heard to date..

Johnny Dallas self reflective philosophical thinking by a regretful man who lived on the edges of reality by way of success and which was fuelled by chaos and resulted in chaos. Maybe you need to live life a little outside the box to understand, I only say that because you seem to speak with the disdain of a man who’s achievements might justify such ignorance. Btw Mike Tyson is living in the same “reality” as you, if you look at it in normal form, you must just have no ability to possibly comprehend what he is saying if that’s what you mean. I’m sure it would be interesting to hear your Definition of reality though.
Mike might be one of the most misunderstood people of all. The greatest Champion, who's reflected on his past and evolved into a humble and peaceful man. Props to JRE for this one!

Damn, 4 years since this podcast came out. I remember when it first came out, I was a junior in high school and right after school in my room I saw on Instagram that Joe Rogan did an interview with Mike Tyson. I was so excited and watched the entire episode and skipped the gym and did no homework or studying. Time goes by quick, never realized the quickness of time until I graduated high school. Now I’m more conscious about what I do through the day.
Dean Hargreaves Rogan's has done some of the best interviews I've ever seen! David Goggins Joe just let him go on and on it was so deep, elon, astronomy, particle physics, geology s*** you ain't going to find on Stephen Colbert.
Craig Ferguson is still better. Joe can´t go 5 minutes without mentioning weed or fighting, it wouldn´t hurt him to go just a wee bit more intellectual and stop acting like a teenager.

I've watched Tyson's mentality change over the years and it's absolutely fascinating to witness his journey. He's quite clearly found at least some sort of peace. He was a very troubled young man and I'm very happy for him that he's found that - we all deserve it.
This isn't just the best Mike Tyson interview ever. It might be the best sports interview ever. You would never hear this on tv or the radio. This is the man behind the myth contained in the legend.
Honestly... I’ve taken tons of notes from Joe. I’m a one man band and don’t have a counter part to converse with. Also most interviews aren’t in person. But I like his conversational style.
Agreed. He gives plenty of space and opportunity for his guest(s) to present themselves as themselves. No bullshit, no characters. no guises. He'll listen to what you have to say, no matter how inane or crazy it is, and he'll go "okay, well let's talk about that for a sec, cause I think it's interesting." There've been a few times where I've noticed a guest have a split second moment of "wait, what?" when Joe isn't immediately dismissive of what they said.
lmao yes. I have a friend who has a tiny lisp, not as bad as Mike, but laughs just like him. He was also an animal like him, 5'9 like 200 pounds, athlete. Mike is an awesome story of redemption. I remember growing up and he was having so much trouble. I’m glad to see him come out of all that mess. ❤
Tyson killed his ego and became humble. Who would have guessed. I'm glad for him. He is a great guy.
4energy getting old does that to you
I like the ego. It's what made him a fierce warrior.

Totally crazy man. Wow. Get down to Mike's ranch. Joe is the guest speaker on how to face yr fears but with drugs. Wtf
@@yanivbaron-gershfield1378 I agree but why'd you have to drag in 'muslim' between all those horrible things (not that I consider drug taking that bad either, unless you're heavily addicted)? I'm not muslim but I know "religous" people and it's really just a cultural thing for most.

This interview will go into the history books of sports journalism. Bravo Joe Rogan! It's so heartwarming to see how Mike Tyson evolved spiritually. He seems to be peaking in his life.

This a grimy ass comment
Nothing hit mike harder than reality. He might have made mistakes but I don't think many people can claim they have come further in their personal development. From the bottom up.
Kevin Knutson like rocky said: no matter how tough you are, life will punch you into the ground. The important part is that we need to get up and keep pushing forward 💪🏻
Thank you Pablo Escobar, very cool
When mike said to his son "you dont wanna be a fighter, imagine fighting someone like me... its degrading to get beat on" for real mike knows how dark he was back then and to think about his son fighting someone with that much anger and hatred will scare any father....

"In order to focus on the next chapter of your life, you must forget the previous chapter."
I think I know what he meant, but he expressed it badly. It would have been better to say ""In order to focus on the next chapter of your life, although you cannot forget the previous chapter, you must put it behind you."

@Johnny Dallas You should take Mike's advice! He's actually really profound. Go trip out for a night or two, the world will change before your eyes.
Best guest ever!
I’m sure it would be interesting to hear your

I think it’s crazy that seeing Mike be at peace brings so many people peace. Shows you his cultural importance!
I've watched Tyson's mentality change over the years and it's absolutely fascinating to witness his journey. He's quite clearly found at least some sort of peace. He was a very troubled young man and I'm very happy for him that he's found that - we all deserve it.

Agree 100 percent bro. It was great to see an interviewer really give Tyson respect 👌🏽
Actually, Tyson himself is a great interviewer, with his own podcast which is almost a level with Joe himself
Honestly... I’ve taken tons of notes from Joe. I’m a one man band and don’t have a counter part to converse with. Also most interviews aren’t in person. But I like his conversational style.
Agreed. He gives plenty of space and opportunity for his guest(s) to present themselves as themselves. No bullshit, no characters. no guises. He'll listen to what you have to say, no matter how inane or crazy it is, and he'll go "okay, well let's talk about that for a sec, cause I think it's interesting."
There've been a few times where I've noticed a guest have a split second moment of "wait, what?" when Joe isn't immediately dismissive of what they said.
