so when going through an automatic car wash make sure wipers are OFF and not AUTO and uncheck X the rain sensing box in the Settings screen. or risk your wipers getting damaged in the car wash, if it has actual cleaning things that touch your car like spinning strappy things
I am reluctant to buy a vehicle so equipped. I had a 2011 Toyota Avalon with rain sensing wipers and they didn’t work worth a damn, even after several trips to the dealer. You couldn’t see because of the water on the windshield and then they would run for several wipes and they would start squeaking because the windshield was dry and they’d still be running. I eventually just ended up operating them manually as if I didn’t have an intermittent function, then I got really mad and traded it for a car with regular intermittent wipers!

yeah just bought a mazda didnt really know how to shut it off I got the rear wipers working before the front ones

You can adjust the speed of the wipers when you turn it off of auto.

i got a 2023 cx 5 last monthand have driven through several episodes of rain and it has worked well so far
