Swedish guns still work that’s why. The game is about 400% more fun when your cannon rounds feel like they do more damage than MG rounds. Especially when enemy cannon rounds seem to always high till damage and kill me with the slightest hit to any component of my plane critical or not

Just so you know, the Akan m/47B 20mm on this plane is just the Swedish designation for the British Hispano Mk. V and both those guns are identical in-game. Nice video! :)

V Swedish guns do have confusing names, but I did do my research and all sources say that they are in fact the same guns. Hope you have a nice rest of your day mate :)
Granted though, the British and the Swedes used different ammo belts for their cannons. The Swedish belts consist only of HEF-T and AP-T rather than a bunch of different rounds in the belt which means that the Swedes do have an edge in terms of damage. I played one game last night to see, it's atrocious in uptier, you're useless for so many reasons. Good players would never engage u, and your lack of power makes u a passenger of the game.
The reason your guns were sparking so much was the air belts. Default belts (for some reason) have an HE shell that's twice as powerful as the ones in air belts.
yeah but you can energy trap a yak30 and expect getting sparked on if you fail at it. This thing pushes like a yak23 and one shot removes whatever it touches.

I was playing it at 8.0 before it was 8.0 because my friend refused to play 7.7 with me but I still have 23 deaths, 152 kills, 68 battles played, and 50 victories. In other words I have a kd of 6.6, a win rate of 74% and 2.2 kills per match. For a plane that is over tiered I’d say that’s pretty good
Other things play into it then just the plane. Other players at the tier. How many premium players in the tier that have never played jets etc etc. Like right now how Top Tier is basically easy mode because of how many top tier premiums are coming into the game so many players are flying jets for the first time don’t know how Jet energy works, radar missiles or IR missiles work don’t know how to work their radar or read RWR

The A28 and Vampire are the same exact flight model, and even the guns are the same. The Akans are license-built Hispanos. The only difference is the ammunition; the Swedish 20mm ammo has more explosive filler so they're more effective
to play a vampire you need to embrace the goblin mentality (hehe, get it? goblin). attack from ambush, get them to turn fight you, jab at them and skiddadle

i like how the main reason he played the swedish vampire was because it didn't have hispanos. 20mm akan m/46 is the swedish designation for 20mm hispanos.

@@Wanys123 the HEF is a renamed HEI shell they have the same damage model, the tracer shell is what causes the sparking most of the time and the swedish one doesn't have that shell so it is a little different there but they play out exactly the same anyway, same with the Finnish and Italian vampires. Edit, most of the time with the Hispano V's ground belt is used so the SAP-I isn't there, I'm assuming that ground belt would be the belt used since it's the only good one for it.
Joob you ahould play the F-86-25 in the american tech tree i think its a very fun play because of how maneuverable it is Even though its pretty bad for its BR.
ive found that the 163 is hard counter to the vampire being able to pull harder , have a higher top speed and accelerate like a madman + its a little rat

I fucking HATE the Akan guns. And imo, the Italian vamp is better. Has a better engine, actually keeps speed through turns, still has hisparkoes but IMHO I prefer them more even now over the Akan's.
I can't fly this shit anymore, the lack of engine power makes u so vunerable at this br, which means uptier 80% of the time. if the opposition decides to not engage, you're doing nothing. You're video is a bit misleading imo. Most of your kills are against bad players. Your aim remains absolutely insane tho
Not sure the guns are different, but the ammo sure is. As far as I remember it is stilla HS derivate. m/47B.Bofors made good 20 mm but they were put into the A 32A. Ammo is still the same iirc.

I loved this plane when it was 7.3. grinded most of the swedish tree with it. But havn't tuched it since it got moved up to 8.0

The yak-30D is a pretty fun plane at its br, its kind of like a mig-15 but also nothing like a mig-15, would prob make for a fun video in the future

Technically the 20mm Akan is just slightly modified license built Hispano Mk 5s
this is the best I've ever seen the Hispano V's working, they are the same guns btw just with a Swedish name.
It's cuz swedish belts are different from British.
Swedes have HEF, Brits have HEI+SAP-I(SAP-I is the biggest spark generator cuz its modeled poorly).

You should try out the hornet mk3 its a powerhouse (but the br range is hell).
Hornet is such a based plane, it's super slept on for some reason which is a real shame imo
The entire line after the hornet is just full of great planes as well
