The Buccaneer S.1 in War Thunder is a British Event Plane that has a crazy ordinance for its Battle Rating.

The Buccaneer and Scimitar Combination is insane. Between the two planes you have 8 Bullpup Missiles and 4 Bombs giving you a potential 12 frags. This is assuming you can aim all of the ordinance but also assuming you don't get multiple frags per bomb or missile.
This combination at this specific battle rating is basically a CAS pilot's dream. The Bullpup Missiles allow you to stay far enough away from less capable SPAA and pick off targets far from where they're paying attention.
Although the spawn cost for each plane is pretty steep, their potential is well worth that cost assuming you know what you're doing.

Odd's battlefield awareness while in the air is top tier! Literally sees everything and knows what it is most the time, pure joy to watching.
4K resolution. Once I upgraded to 4K myself, it can feel like cheating at times, absolutely crazy.

I was the T-55AM1 at 20:24 and I have to say, that game had me so pressed. When you rolled up and killed 5 people in 5 seconds I was so stunned I didn't even know what I was looking at. GGs! (Even though you bombed me in spawn shortly after, SMH) Love your videos as always

As a lifelong AirRB player it's so bizarre to see someone take out the scimitar without the AIM9s
They're only Bs though, a tank can't flare, juke or notch a Bullpup.
^ And ontop of that... the Scimitar will Whallop whoever either doesn't turn tighter, or those that don't know how to Exploit the Scimitar's Rudder issue 🍻

I’m going to keep asking, because I think it could really make a difference. Would you consider dedicating a video a week to playing a proper lineup? A lot of new players are introduced to the game through your videos, and the “tank of the day” style gives them the impression that they should only have one vehicle and maybe a plane. Showing them how to build a lineup and bringing more than one ground vehicle might help to get players to stay in a match for longer than their first death.
That’s such an under appreciated comment. You are telling exactly what needs to be done by most of the TH-camrs of WT. This old approach of “single vehicle video” must be gone already, huge part of the skill ceiling in the game is about building a right deck of vehicles, having all roles covered, etc. New players must learn that to be efficient and not drag the team down. Having a dedicated videos about that is such a great idea.
The problem with that is Odd lasts a whole match, usually in just one tank.
@@utha2665 Just showing some concept lineups even if they don't get used he can talk about the strengths/weaknesses of some tiers and what you can focus on to stay effective in most situations

I don't think we'd need one a week, but a few to have some "real world" guides to stuff like low br gameplay and lineups, especially for new players

As a Brit main, when I saw you use the Jimmy all those years ago, I had to try it out, very quickly because a favorite CAS plane of mine. I’d like to now thank you officially.
My former neighbour was a professional photographer and embedded with the RAF during the first Gulf War in 1990 and was put into the back seat of a Buccaneer to photograph the massive destruction of the Iraqi Republican Guard after they were caught withdrawing on a road. A famous catastrophe for them.

One unique aircraft that I'd love to see in the game is what is called the "Messerspit". A Spitfire Mk. V that was captured on the Channel Islands by the Germans, later taken to Germany for testing, then tested with the same engine and frontal nose cone from the Bf-109.
Even funnier is they made the opposite too, the Spanish 109 with a Merlin engine.

I don't know what it is but I cannot foe the life of me operate these kind of missiles with the way they worked currently. Though the missiles from event plane Tokushu Heiki I can use fine. Is there a way to make controlling missiles like the bullpups thr same as them?
Brit was my first full tree unlock. It is also @ 8.3 my best fun.
To fold down the radar, you can also use the shortcut Alt+R, saves some time
If you like the Bucc, the S2 is more of the same goodness but with chaff or aim9bs! A video with the Olifant mk2 would be cool!
8.7 and 8.3 are some of my favorite battle ratings for most nations I play, its a good balance of newer stuff but not getting stuck in 5 minute premium spam matches like the 10.0 black hole.
Day 15 of asking for a video on the Strv m/42 EH. That thing is way better than it seems on the first look, it's 75mm APHE slaps like a truck and it's decent mobility gives it the possibility to attack from where the enemies don't expect it. Please play it, I'd really love to see that!
The Buc was one of my first market vehicles and its really fun to fly low, following rivers. I never got the bullpups to work for me so I've been spamming 144 rockets and some retarded bombs, but now that I've seen you using them ill have to try.

OddBawZ you really should play the OF40 MTCA whit the GR91 R/4. The OF40 is my favourite tank in the game currenty so would be fun to see you play it.

I don't know if anyone else has this issue but I can't see the planes majority of the time even while playing on any setting level. I have issues seeing some colors but not enough to be called either of the three color blindness. Anyone else have this issue?

Much as I hate cas, high speed low level bombing is exactly what the buccaneer was designed for. I have a certain fondness for the aircraft as I live not far from where they were designed and built. The Yorkshire Air Museum (near York) have two on display and they are impressive besties up close.

Hey Odd, wanna play the M8 HMC (not the armored car). It's fast, has decent armor, has a .50, and a good HEAT shell (Day 7, we'll see how long it takes)
I'm broke in the game but at least I can have finally an anti-CAS radar using SPAA (I don't know what it's called but Japanese and it's the first SPAA in top tier). I just don't know how to get SL to suffice my needs (my line-up is fully red and I get uptiered constantly so I'm pretty much out of options) so if you have any tips how to solve it, please share it with me but until then I play with reserve destroyers in naval, it gets quite the money

people might not like CAS in WT, but hey, thats whats realistic. I like playing CAS *because* its annoying to get killed by CAS lol, it feels rewarding to have the same capability available to me.

Day 12 of: Since they added the Breda 90/53 they have added a new round for the Italian 90mm gun, maybe you could make a video in the future with a lineup of just 90mm 90/53 guns (Breda 90/53, Breda 501 and 90 /53 M41M)

seeing plane gameplay like this in ground rb makes me even more sad that the strela was moved to 10.0
I've had real problems with the bombs in this bucc as well, they drop with really inconsistent delay after the button press and are horribly inaccurate, a bit of a shame, but the bullpups make up for it
Great gameplay but i didn't see anything watching on a phone, would love to see some kind of zoom in post production if possible (maybe it's just my skill issue)
no oddvawz, the reason why we hate cas is that some peasant with a p47 can carry more bombs than a bomber and nuke half the team, then strafe the rest before ramming the ground
