    I’ve been having a hard time getting back into meditation as my mind can’t stop lately. This was the 1st time I’ve been able to go there & fast - when we went to the pit, I immediately felt energy throughout my whole body & didn’t want to come out when u asked. It was so great being back with source energy. Next, I could actually feel the pineal in my head and the energy seemed to stay there. I tried going back & forth, and my heart rate went up. Lol… what a trip. I’ve done all kinds of meditation in my life & this was somehow a super quick way for me to get into meditation mode. If u ever read this, thank you!!!!!

      Thank you Alain! On one occasion I gave a 7 hour long (!) anatomy slideshow presentation with a blind person seated in the front row. I was very conscious of the fact that even though I was showing images all day, that I also had to "paint the picture" for that person's mind with my words. It was a profound challenge and positive experience, and that person afterwards told me how much they enjoyed the presentation. It was not the only time this occurred, so I got to practice it a little bit over the years, I'm glad it must have stuck with me to do that, thank you for noticing :)

    what a wonderful meditation to bring awareness to these two parts in our brain. Loved the visual of the pineal as a water fountain with the floating ball on top- getting splashed with cerebral spinal fluid. also thank you for bringing in the last message about practicing meditations while participating with a client's healing. what we are conscious of in our bodies as practitioners- how we can move within our own body of awareness truly can teach the client/patient/recipient of such touch. that is indepth sharing that enhances the quality of time together :)

    Thank you very much for this wonderful presentation Dr. Hedley. I am a yoga teacher and a brain tumour (posterior fossa) so this was a very informative and enlightening presentation. PS: I get headaches/a heavt feeling when trying to access the pineal and pituitary gland...probably due to the trauma and injury. I am leading a yoga class with otehrs dealing with brain and spinal injury and we are discussing the two glands. Thank you for this!

    I’ve been doing this since I started meditating with the material of Dr. Joe Dispenza
    but I was kind of guessing where the pineal gland is. Glad to say I was fairly accurate.
    And I thought it was just my own thing, felling, or sensing where it is. It’s a great way
    to focus for mediitation. And now I have yet one more great you tube site to follow.

    This is very helpful. I love Dispenza’s meditations on the pineal gland but I find that he doesn’t explain the process well enough for me. I tried for months and just couldn’t get the hang of it. It really becomes much easier when you know exactly where these spots are located though. I now use my own combination of tantra, slow methodical breathing timed with contracting perineum & core muscles and of course visualization of these areas.

    pineal gland is incredibly important in raising your conscious awareness. what is that? it's a sense of knowing and opening you intelligence to the great cosmic mind. We have awareness and knowledge that exists as energy which permeates the entire universe. You may think that is crazy talk, and of course it is crazy talk if you you don't know. But once you can open up that energy and tune into it it becomes a real thing. You can improve your thinking and mental clarity 100 fold, at times I come up with words I don't ever recall being taught their meaning, but when I check it it turns out to be the perfect word for what I was writing. Or I will use some strange word that you never hear anyone say, and within a day or 2 I hear someone on TV use that same word. It happens way more often than would be just coincidence, imho! I work in high tech for a financial company and have had a successful career for many decades so at least by that standard I have pretty good mental acuity. But I've also studied and practiced various Taoist, Buddhist and Hindu practices where they feel our true being lies within - the Kingdom of God is Within - as the Bible says! That is exactly where it's at, the Universe Within - same thing!
    in Taoist practices we tap the skull in specific points to open up the energy of that chakra - the 3rd eye for the pineal gland. Named after the pine cone because it's shape resembles a pine cone. If you are unsure of the importance just go to the Vatican where they have a 13' high golden statue of a pine cone. That is not coincidence. They knew the meaning of it.

    I was told looking at the tip of the nose wraps the optic nerves around the Pituitary gland and then all the other glands start oversecreting.The science of Yoga uses this technique a lot along with other things..

    • @somanaut
      @somanaut  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I cannot confirm this scenario/process, though I can describe the anatomy: the optic chiasma, which is the "X" shape formed by the convergence of the optic nerves, does overlie the pituitary gland seated in the sella turcica, a pocket formed by the sphenoid bone. So there is definitely a close spatial relationship of the optic nerves and the pituitary gland, though the nerves do not wrap, but rather cover, the pituitary from an anatomical perspective. Thanks for watching!

      This is fascinating, thanks so much! I really enjoyed this, and any of your videos I’ve watched. You are a truly brilliant teacher Gill, at least partly because of your humble, gentle, down to earth approach. It’s a lot easier for me to learn from someone who doesn’t have a know it all attitude, even while he knows a helluva lot!
      This meditation reminded of a TCM practise Mantak Chia teaches, (about consciously circulating energy through the Governing and Conception channels) where he asks a person to put their tongue towards the back of the roof of the mouth to connect the channels. That felt very similar.
      When I look at the path of the Governing vessel I see a branch goes directly through/around the pineal, and the Conception vessel look to do the same with the Pituitary.
      I also recall when watching “Strolling Under The Skin” here on TH-cam, that within the beautiful live slick sticky fascia, there appeared to be occasional tubules containing a liquid - when I saw that, I thought it was probably a Meridian channel!? Obviously that won’t be visible once the fascia has collapsed in death, but I’m curious if a connecting skin remains between the pituitary and pineal? Unless that is something that mostly builds itself via meditation…
