    It is so sad to me to think that Christians might actually think that this is what they must do. So far it seems that he's instructing people on how to still their consciences while at the same time indulging their flesh. That to put a noble conclusion to doing all of this means that ultimately others will be helped. It sounds very destructive and very narcissistic.

    Psalms 62:11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.
    John 19:11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.

    That's a very insightful video with a thoughtful observation on the power dynamics that many struggle with in today's world.

    Also, we have to remember, or realize, that things like power seeking, greed, lust and so forth are inversions of what’s of God/Jesus. Greed is just a corrupted version of healthy ambition and drive. Lust is just idolatry and an inversion of healthy desire. Being in a power position (evil context) is simply just an inversion of one being in a position to be a sound steward/leader. On one end, God’s Way (morals, love, integrity, character) is involved whereas the opposite version operates from a lack of those things.

    Just found this channel and wow, thanks for the insight. I just felt kinda wrong and icky about reading this book but I still wanted to read it. Have you read The Laws of human Nature by Robert Greene? would that be a good read for a Christian?

    One of the things killing Christians is 'ignorance'. In reality, everyone on planet earth is seeking for power, all of us, however what we do with the power matters, but we all need the power to accomplish our given mandates

    I think the big trick is that he, and others like him, are taking something simplistic and making it sound more than what it really is. God makes it very clear what evil is and why it’s evil and gives it at its root. Robert Green uses things like charm, mystique, pseudo intellectualism, fomo, the idea that others are in the know except the reader, and the like, to sell people on the book. He makes evil appear to be fair seeming. These in and of themselves are the tools/tricks that he uses. He’s playing the reader who’s gullible enough to consider and believe his demonic nonsense.

      Another thing to see is that he sells on the idea of experience. That’s dangerous as experience can’t be trusted as it’s not full proof. God/Jesus says clearly that stealing is wrong, for example. A thief may tell people that it’s not that bad because they’re able to get what they want when they want it based on their experience. However, what they’re leaving out is that it’s still wrong and shouldn’t be done. They’re also not considering other consequences that come with stealing (incarceration or even death from get back). I don’t need to steal to see why it’s wrong for the sake of experience.
      Robert Green emphasizes the experience aspect but doesn’t highlight how our choices and actions can make or break the trajectory of our lives as well as the lives of others around us. Not everything is to be “experienced.”

    Jesus Christ gave the example of the shrewd manager. He said ppl of the light do not know how to deal with ppl of this world....explain that please.

    The reason these books do well is because of toxic positivity. I think it sold 2 million copies in the US.

    Trying to overpower other people’s thought process will eventually lead you to believe you can control your own nature. You can’t control the elements of your nature, only Jesus can!!!!!

    First of all it's a man written book the only book that we actually live by is God's word the Bible every other book we read we chew the food and spit out the sticks plain and simple read the book eat the food and spit out the sticks at the end of the day the word of God is Right the Bible and that's the book we follow the Bible the word of God

    I'll be honest. This video wasnt specific enough on what the actual book that you disagreed with vs. his ideology in general. I am a Christian and this video didn't really give me enough information. Respect to you brother. I don't think you said anything wrong, just not specific enough for me.

      Well, this's a good discovery or input. Robert Greene talks about respect for superiors, and self denial as some of the ways of having power, I think having power is what everyone is looking for, including those who pretend they don't need it

    Well put video. I do not agree with it however. I read the book and I do not think that what you said in this video is in this book. Greene does not encourage to seek power for the sake of power and all that

    The reality is this, danger is the world, Christian living is the absence of things in the world lust,pride,greed.
    Until you can fully survive without involving things of modern world that involve these sinful ways. You'll have to adapt to survive in the real world.
    Thats why orthodox christian countries look for simpler living standards in order to maintain their Christian lifestyle.

    • @watitduful
      @watitduful 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The thing is that you actually can survive and live a very cool life following Jesus. A lot of what you see from the world is trickery and one of the things used is optics. People often times only believe what they see. Robert Green and people like him know that. Jesus challenges that and gives the game right so we see past the deception.

    Robert Greene's perspective on life sounds like a close cousin of Andrew Tate's view of things.

      you should watch videos of Greene explaining his work; he's very calm and honest actually. His book is really about defending yourself against people who use these laws in real life

    • @watitduful
      @watitduful 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s a trick he’s using to get you to indulge JhoferGamer. He’s using that approach to peak your curiosity and makes the obviously evil seem fair seeming. You don’t need to give me an instruction how to manual on evil in order for me not to indulge it and say it’s wrong.
      With that, using evil to defend evil is only a trap and will get you caught on stuff you couldn’t imagine.
