    Hi Rusty, followed your channel for a good while now. Glad to see you are back 💥.
    Im doing an overnighter shortly.
    Bridge of Orchy, Glen Lyon, over to rannoch and then up to Corrour. About 135k.
    Was checking out Glen Lyon stuff and happened upon this again.
    Trip is in about 10 days time and your video has me buzzing for it.
    Loving the channel, delighted you’re back………take it at your own pace. We love your content 👌👍🏻💥😁. Thanks

    Absolutely agree with you - it’s all about the quality of the ride, the views, and memories it creates. And Scotland always delivers! Thanks for sharing.

      Haha I didn't know there was panning potential. I knew they wanted to open a mine but assumed it was no good there.

    Rusty it's pronounced Lion, like the king of the beasts. Great videos by the way, keep up the good work.

    Bonjour Rusty,
    Bridge of Orchy station is the best starting point.
    The track up to Lyon is excellent

    Great video thanks apart from the awful music. This is my stamping ground and I'm planning to get dropped in Crianlarich and ride right down to Kenmore this Spring so I'm pleased to see that my Roubaix will be fine with its 26mm road tyres.
    Yes the road from Bridge of Balgie eastwards has been resurfaced for a few miles, it's possibly my favourite ride around here.
    PS: I think you caught one of the ospreys as you crossed the dam.

    Amazing loop, I’ve worked on Auch Estate and longing to get the time to get that loop done.

    i'm doing my first 100 miler tomorrow, not enough gravel roads or trails for me, mostly cyclepath and canal towpath but it will do. going to be a long day. as for your videos the longer the better in my opinion, also i think that in this glorious weather the uk has been bathed in, Scotland looks more interesting than your holiday destination recently.

      That’s why I got into trouble doing a💯miler on Monday on paths and trails and being 3mph slower than on the roads ment out longer that normal 🚴🏻‍♀️

    Epic" i think its pronounced [ glen LION] as in king of the jungle,,

    • @RustyRidesGravel
      @RustyRidesGravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I think so too having looked at it after. I went on the way the French pronounce it as a guess :)

  • @SwampyDuckRidesAgain
    @SwampyDuckRidesAgain ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Oh you do make me laugh at your pronunciations 😀. I’m up that way frequently and quite often overnight at the Green Welly and have wondered what some of these tracks are like so now I know. Think this is a must do though I can see me landing in the water lol. Good to know there’s no phone signal. Must admit I’m still with you regards the no longer caring about power, speed, time etc but that lands me in trouble as I just stay out longer lol.

    10 days ago, approx, I did most of this route. I started at Tyndrum, with tha aim of going thro Glen Lyon, over to Rannoch and then thro to Loch Ciarain, via Corrour and Loch Treig. It was a super circuit, mainly gravel but did involve a fair bit of bike hauling up from Treig as I was carrying camp stuff and food for five days. I did Stoinaig bothy and the bothy at Ciarain. It was a classic and on the way back thro Kingshouse and the WHWay, it was really busy with walkers. Total distance, only around 100 miles but its top quality.

      Thanks, I have been informed this is the case - if only I knew that before I filmed it. Just couldn't find that anywhere I looked so gambled on how to say it.
