I' m 70 and I have been traveling by myself for many years, I love it. I make my own schedule, I don' t have to wait for anyone, and I visit only the places I want to see. I like my company, and I also enjoy meeting people along the way.
I love solo travel! People always tell me I'm so brave for traveling by myself, but I've only ever had positive experiences, and it's so freeing not to have to consult with a group about where you're going to eat or how long you're staying at a museum. I need to start staying at hostels, though - I like hotels but it's harder to meet people.
Wow! What an excellent summary! I really felt like I was just having a fun chat with you on your sunny balcony! Thankyou so much, I’m now equipped to begin my first solo travel since I was 16.
Sitting here, getting ready for tomorrows travels. All of a sudden having major doubts. Hearing you sum up why I travel alone I was thinking 'you're right, lets goooo' Thanks for this
Great advice. I travel solo in the U.S. quite a bit. Last year, I went to Paris solo and was excited and scared. I loved it, I’m pretty introverted, and I broke up my trip to see family in Scotland which helped a lot! Was gone 3 weeks. I’m 50 now so it took a long time to get the courage to do it. Probably couldn’t have done it in my 20s.

Traveling by myself was the best thing I ever did :)
Same here! I think everyone should try it at least once!

Great video! I feel a little braver about taking my first solo trip. Going through divorce and don’t want that to stop me from traveling ❤️
Thank you, and enjoy your trip!
