is it too much to learn correct pronunciation ...out of respect? ...Ae - e - Na ...and ...Pir - A - Us.
Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't realise I mispronounced those words! I will try better ❤️ Merry Christmas 🎄

Thank you! You’re a super guide! Best wishes to you and a very merry Christmas to you and your family. ❤ Love, Tara

Beautifully shot video. WEll done!
Thank you 😊

Too bad Patti, but maybe you'll return to Greece as digital nomad one day with Maltese employer letting you work from anywhere 🙏 all the best with a new job change! ☺️☺️ happy you got it solved so quickly!
Maybe. life is full of surprises 😊😋
I lived in one of those roof top appartments. The are not very well isolated and in summer time is like you were living inside an oven....and in winter inside de fridge....😂😂😂😂 But the massive balconies are absolutely delicious....except when there are cockroaches in the area.... 🤢 That's why there are so many cats everywhere in Greece..... People think is for them to take a picture...but the reallity is quite less romantic 😂😂😂😂
Already subscribed to your lovely channel. Pitty you left Greece, although I am awaiting to see your new adventures in Malta.... Have a very Merry Christmas Paty - 🎄🌟❤
Merry Christmas to you 🎉🎄
What a lovely video ♥♥♥
Thank you! 😊
The most accurated information about Athens in the whole TH-cam... Useful and direct to the point....
Expat = expatriate is a person who resides outside their country of native origin. So please, unless your mother or father or both are of Hellenic origins, do not insulate us by using the word "expat."
I am residing outside of my country of native origin, Poland. I have been an expat for the last 20 years. I am not sure what you mean. By all means, I didn't mean to offend anyone 🤔
At the end of the day, modern society is redefining immigrants, women, and nuclear families - European cultures are doomed, and we, as natives of the continent,t are helping ( soar subject for many Europeans ). Merry Christmas
@@PatiTheTimelessTraveller@PatiTheTimelessTraveller I deleted my previous comments; I realize no one cares anymore about the preservation of the European native cultures; once the word 'expat' was used exclusively for those who were exiled not, we use it to cover up illegal immigration, multiculturalism, and so forth! - Best of luck with your channel! Words are a powerful tool for good and evil.
Δεν είναι Ελληνικό μαρκετ αυτό είναι Γερμανικό!
I am an Athens-addict as well. It's hard to explain what it is. Maybe it's because the gods in Athens still dwell among the mortals 💗
Excellent video!..... Very informative!..... Thank you!....
I think Greece is good for people who have an income from abroad or people who have accumulated some wealth to live on in Greece. It is DEFINITELY not a good idea to come to Greece financially broke. I lived in Malta as well. I had the best 5 years of my life there but Malta has changed in the past 10 years. Finding accommodation which is affordable is really difficult. Expect to pay at least 1000 EUR for 1 bedroom flat. It is now overcrowded, the real estate market has been destroyed by the influx of people coming from Dubai to work in Malta since Dubai has become too expensive for people on low income. Malta has become very expensive. You need a good income in order to enjoy your life there. I think Poland is now very happening now. Lots of job opportunities. I think you might have better chances in Poland. Plus your family and friends are there. You might earn more money there and spend some of that money in Malta on holiday. Best of luck to you. Subscribe to my channel. I will be taking you on my life journey in Crete and other places I visit on business trips. I will be moving to Crete. I fell in love with the island, its people, the countryside, the climate. Good luck to you in Malta. Sahha.
Στο καλό και να μην μας γράφετε 😂😂😂😂
This is why living in Southern Europe (Spain, Italy, Greece etc.) is not a good choice, because they only interact with their families. For foreigners those are difficult places.
Thank you so much for this. As an American near retirement, I could come there, retire and be comfortable there. My whole life has been spent here in the USA. My ex husband is Greek and now lives there again after over 44 years in the USA. He loves Greece but realizes many things that are bad in his homeland. He is financially ok and lives comfortably in Greece but says he misses us here. He feels like a strange in his homeland but his quality of life is better in Greece. The U.S. is extremely hard life as you age. It’s for young ambitious hardworking people. We are seniors now and ready to relax now. I will be 65 soon and wanting to stop working and live a bit before I am too old to do so. It’s hard in U.S. but in a different way. You have to be very strong to endure it. Greece is for vacation and retirement, sadly. Greece doesn’t produce like some European countries do. Corruption and not creating opportunities for their citizens and the EU seems to want to keep it that way. I love Greek culture. My heart is with Greek people, here and the homeland. Lovely and thoughtful video. All the best on your next journey 💙
Thank you, and the best of luck to you ❤️
Damn this is so true hun, we spend our time conforming to others and not making ourselves happy. This is bigger than travelling , you need to do counselling P,
Wow honey , follow your dreams , proud of you
Thank you 😊
Congratulations on your new job and new adventure. I leaved in Athens for 6 months, it was the best time of my life. I met great people who till this day 16 years later are like family to me
Greece is the most beautiful country in the world but I could not stand the rampant corruption on all levels and left... Do I miss it? Elements of it, yes. BUT, I love being in a place where honesty, hard work and integrity count. Greece is all but destroyed because of the corruption. Even those that are not corrupt have to adjust in order to survive. Greeks vote for the same corrupt politicians every time and expect different results. Doesn't work this way... Used to have beautiful scenery and it has been destroyed by the wind generators on every mountain top... Used to have amazing food and that has been destroyed as well by imports of fruits, veggies, meats, dairy and fish, that does not taste as good as it used to in years past. Unfortunately, Greece is done, finished, kaput, sayonara...
So sad, yet so true...
Life is worth living around love ones.Enjoy your stay as you relocate🎄.
My good friend! You are so Right. I live in North America for 44 years and I can't say it better myself!. 30 years ago, things were much better here. No more! As you said, if you work hard in Greece you can have much better life there than here. We like to believe that foreigners do things..better than the Greeks but that is a Myth.
Absolutely
Greece is not a country you arrive "broke" . You work somewhere where you can make a lot of money and when are you 50 you take your money and retire in Greece. I know many people who have done it and they regret why they couldn't do it when they were 40.
I came to Greece 31 years ago and never looked back. Greece was kind and generous to me and I worked hard. I made a precious family here as well. Unless I need to become a war or climate refugee I’ll be here for good!
I'm happy for you but would like to know where you came from...
@ Denmark - trust me it is different enough.
Only in Greece can you find a copy of Heracleitus in a rubbish pile.
Boring
Cheers to Poland and Polish people!
I am exactly like in your situation, I left my country too...for the same reasons as I understand. From my point of view, I would suggest ,you to go back to Poland 🇵🇱 ❤. You will never settle if you continue to give another "fight" in Malta . Poland is a Great place to live. I know few of Polish people ,which some are friends and I can say that they are very good people
You said it all !! Insecurity Very hard to pay the bills taxes This Is By Design What Happens To Greece A Hugh Problem With Corruption In All Governments Contribute To Make A Paradise on Earth To A Living Hell To Make Friendly Hospitable Happy People Depressed!!! Uncertainty And Depression is At Its Peak I Had To Leave Greece Sadly 9 Years Ago My Daughter Came Back 2 Years Ago So I Hear About Her Struggle And Breaks My Heart.I Know Deep in My Heart That Greece Will Overcome All This and Be Even Better Then Before !!A last Thing Everybody in Greece Was Happy Before Greece Joined EU. incapable Politicians And EU Ended Everything And Made Greece The Way It Is Today WITCH IS NOT !!!!I Wish You All The Best From The Bottom of my heart And I Feel You Will Do Great !!!!!!
Hi Pati Love your genuine vibe and videos, and that you can totally tell you spent time in the UK..Let's crack on with it! :) xx
What about posting in the future some comparison videos of your new life in Malta vs your old life in Greece? I think it is a good idea to watch your point of view and it will be interesting for your existing audience too.
Yes, I will definitely do that :)
I have worked in Greece as a stage resort entertainer in top 5 stars resorts. You can make a lot of money anywhere IF YOU HAVE THE SKILLS. If you don't have skills that can easily translate into money it will be hard anywhere. Content creation can also make you money, through brand deals mostly! There's many content creators out there who are crashing it...however charisma is needed to build a brand that lasts. So...if you are a content creator but didn't make enough in Greece...and your niche is based on traveling, you cannot stay a lot in one country only. If your brand is wellness, relationships, finances & co, then you can build it from one country only. The rest of the people who work 9-5 or any other type of make your boss rich hours, will be poor in any country.
❤
❤
There are problems everywhere and once you realize that and understand and it's only you that can change your life and nobody else or no place else maybe you'll understand what life is all about
Malta is very hot and humid, I would definitely choose Warsaw to live. I really loved it when I visited.
You talk too much rubbish……….
I think the best for you go back to Poland
Αντε στο καλό, γιατί παραμαζευτήκατε.
I think the best for you go back to Poland
I grew up in Australia migrated 1965 parents and siblings!!! Eve up to this day I could never understand how every Greek thinks that anywhere else is perfect paradise until they come here and they in shock doesn’t meat there expectations but they to embarrassed to go back to Greece because they thought they will find money in the street I feel sorry for them they working 3jobs to get through life
I came to Australia now as an Australian citizen who grew up in Greece and this is true.
If you knew all of this, then why did you come back? Greece, has lost its soul its purpose its culture, religion. The political system is the problem, it has handed the keys to the country, to this failed institution called the E E.U.Greece, is only good for a holiday, then you leave and come back a few years later for another holiday and leave again. Its sad but thats the awful reality. So your polish.Poland has a fantastic leader and is a country will laws which she defends vigorously. Greece, has laws too, but no one follows them, and no one enforces them, thats why the country is FKD.
LUCKY YOU!!! THATS HOW PARLAMENTARY- OLIGARCHY CAN FOOL THE PEOPLE THAT THEY LIVE IN A PARLIAMENTARY-DEMOCRACY. ALL THE BEST FROM THE GREEKS
Pati, the very few videos that I’ve watched,I loved each and everyone one of them. I love your personality because you come across as being very down-to-earth and I appreciate and respect this attitude. No BS,only true feelings and facts. We’ve all heard the saying « Money doesn’t bring happiness « .I’m going to be a bit of a Contrarian because it does. A case in point is your situation,if you would’ve landed a good job with a good salary that would’ve allowed you to enjoy Athens/Greece without the financial restrictions, you would stay put and just enjoy life. Also, when you have enough money in your purse, you will always be out and about and meet other people and never feel lonely. Money is not to be worshipped but it is necessary to bring us happiness in our day to day life. I sincerely wish you all the best in your next adventure and hopefully you will be able to put roots in Malta as your main Hub.
Thank you, and I agree. Certainly th person who said that money doesn't bring happiness was never poor. Money gives us freedom, and freedom is happiness 😊 ❤️
At first let me wish you the best luck for whatever you wish to do in your life. I don't mean to criticize but, from what you stated in your video, it seems like to me that you are not really a career person with any desired professional skills (nurse, engineer, management staff etc.) so I would assume that whatever you did in Greece for a living your earnings would at or slightly higher than the minimum wage and please correct me if I am wrong. Unfortunately with the exception of countries like Albania, Montenegro and the rest, life in Europe is expensive and anyone with low wages will face a struggle. At least in Greece you would have the weather, the sea, the food and all the rest of benefits that make the Greek atmosphere rather than the gloomy and dark northern Europe. Nonetheless be safe and the my best wishes to you. I am Greek born and raised in Athens and I love it.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. Actually, I used to be a career person, I used to be a manager, and I used to work in corporate. I gave it up to chase my dreams. Dreams didn't pay my bills. So I'm finding a compromise. All the best!
