I went to the Barcelona Cathedral to go to mass and three different security type people told me not to film or take pictures. I told them I did not want any pictures. I just was there to go to church. They were all very, very rude I have been in cathedrals around the world. Why would I won’t another picture of this one.like I told one of the attendance they need to power wash their floor as there is old gum that is stuck to the floor and it looks like it’s never been mopped in a century.
We traveled to Barcelona recently. It is the dirtiest city I have ever been in. I have been all over the world and lived in many different countries. They need to power wash their streets and paint over all the graffiti. They also need a better system for their trash.there are huge trash cans in the street for all the apartments apparently. Dogs also urinate all over the walls. There are bad smells coming from everywhere. Also concerning the meals. The food has been awful. We went to one restaurant and waited over an hour with hardly a few customers inside and ended up leaving because after asking the manager about our meal, it still wasn’t ready and they tried to give us somebody else’s meal. The restaurants also look very dirty. They had breakfast at the hotel we stayed at and when I went to use the pepper shaker I noticed that due to the humidity and not being changed for a long time, the pepper was not coming out, so I took the top off and there was either some driedvegetable that had been dropped into the pepper shaker, which looked gross. Needless to say I didn’t eat anything.
I'm sorry to hear you had unpleasurable experiences in Barcelona. I, for one, have not experienced any of those. Just a note: many, many European cities have large trashcans outside for multiple buildings. This is common. These cities and buildings are very old so they have to employ a trash system such as this.
