Hey everyone! Hope you enjoy this video all about solo travel in Europe. Feel free to share your solo travel stories in the comments to inspire your fellow travelers :)
Wow!! I wish I was that brave at 13 haha. That’s so amazing. I hope you enjoyed London - it’s one of my favourite cities in the world :) thanks for watching and for the super kind comment 🫶
Thank you for these tips. I also do traveling alone these days, and I agree to build confidence first in nearby or neighboring countries before heading out far beyond comfort. Thanks to these tips!
Spot on info, as always, thank you! Just returned from first time overseas (I live in Australia, I’m nearly 60 and can’t believe it took me this long but anyway…) , went solo, 7weeks, fantastic. Gotta be happy in your own company for long trips like this. I actually found Airbnb places to be the best most affordable places to stay, did so for 90% of my accommodation. Hotels and even hostels were heaps more expensive and stuck in one room, loved the amenities and larger spaces at all my Airbnb stays and really helpful local hosts if needed. Glad I didn’t have bad experiences like a few others. I thought as a solo woman I’d be stuck in my accommodation at night time feeling not safe to go out but travelling in summer/autumn when it’s still warm in the evening there were SO many people around that I never once felt unsafe. It’s probably different in the winter but it was a welcome surprise to feel I had the ‘choice’ to head out whenever I wanted. 😊
So glad to hear you’ve had positive experiences with airbnb! I think it definitely does depend on the type of trip and location as well - I still use it sometimes for longer term stays and it’s often worth it then. It sounds like you had a great trip though! Wishing you many more amazing solo trips in the future 🫶
Hi, what would you recommend finding Airbnb around city centre and paying a bit extra or living in outer zones saving on stay and travelling to centre for sight-seeing. Your recommendation will help. Thanks
This is excellent. Even though I often times leads groups to Europe, I always plan some "alone" time to travel on my own and your suggestions are spot on! Planning your train trip in first class - YES!! less crowded, more comfortable seating and a greater possibility of having luggage storing areas in the cars. One suggestion I'd add is take pictures of your passport, IDs, credit cards, and prescriptions and keep them in your phone memory. You never know when you'll need them here in the US or abroad. I still carry a copy of my vaccination card on my phone - just in case.
Just came back from a 10 day solo trip to Italy, France & Spain. Part land part MSC cruise. Pro tip::: Pack light!! I can’t express that enough. So much walking, so many stairs and uneven cobble stone terrain. It’s ok to be fashionably stylish but do dress comfortable and plan to rewear your clothes. It’s ok to wash a few outfits and wear them again. Also.. if in Italy specifically Genova. Never enter a bus without a ticket. You cannot pay on the bus. The police comes on the bus and asks for your ticket. If you don’t produce a ticket you will be forced to pay €67 later or€47 on the spot by credit card. They will not budge with tears or pleading about being an English speaking tourist. Happened to me and had I let it get to me it certainly would have ruined my trip 2 days in. For the trains make sure that if you buy your ticket at the station that you validate it at one of the many machines before boarding. If you bought it online make sure that the pass is downloaded to your wallet or you have a screenshot of it. For taxi drivers always navigate the route with them on your speakerphone or they will take you the longest route possible to Jack up the fare.
Hi, I am travelling solo for the first time in Europe. Can you tell me is it safe.. I have heard to be careful of getting robbed in all major cities like paris, madrid, barcelona etc.. where you staying cautious all the time..any tip will be helpful
What’s your opinion on traveling right now, you know with the war going on in Israel. Do you think it could interfere with plans to Europe? I had planned on going to Africa in December, but now thinking of just going to France.
Hi! I’m honestly a little hesitant to answer this because safety is such a personal and subjective topic. I haven’t heard much about the war impacting tourism in Europe apart from some large protests in certain areas, so I wouldn’t think it’s something to completely alter your plans over, but at the end of the day, it comes down to how you personally feel! I’d say go with your gut on this one, and keep an eye on news/updates as things can unfortunately change very quickly in times like this. Hope that helps. Safe travels in any case! 🫶
Hi, can someone list me few authentic websites where i can find local group tours for main cities in Europe, tours which are safe and enjoyable, probably tried by you'll..Thanks!.. it will be helpful

Lol my Montreal trip landing is during the day. However, it's right after the time change in November so by the time I get to my hotel, it'll be dark😂
Very informative 👍
