Damn this is so true hun, we spend our time conforming to others and not making ourselves happy. This is bigger than travelling , you need to do counselling P,
you are a very wise woman, Time Traveller. Most people don't ever, get to asking, these fundamental questions let alone coming up with the right answers. Bravo.
Spot on & a lot of women are in denial about being in (peri)menopause in their 40s & 50s. Or they don't even realise what is happening to their bodies.
Well said. To feel trapped or to break free, that is the question. At some point it seems we all become invisible. I broke free at 48 and I'm breaking free again at 66. I'm deeply thankful that my children understand. They know that they are loved so much, and vice-versa, though of course my divorce was tough for us all. I felt I had no choice, I was sure I would go crazy if I didn't change my life. For so long I had felt like a little bird trapped in a gilded cage. I swapped security for a nomadic life where money worries have often weighed me down but I found myself.
Hi Pati! I love your channel. I am 48 years old and have left my life back in Spain and moved to Athens three months ago just like you have. I spent five years going through this midlife crisis and questioning absolutely everything. As a matter of fact I had a seemingly perfect life and everyone thought I was crazy for doing what I did but watching your videos I feel a lot better about it all. I no longer feel alone in my existential quest. Thanks for the vids!
Wow, thank you for your comment! I often feel like I'm the only crazy one :) But there are more of us, lol I hope you're enjoying Athens 😉 Drop me a message, and we can meet up for a coffee one day!
Hi Pati. It's nice to hear someone online LITERALLY giving a voice to thoughts that have been running through my head for a while. There is so much stigma around this "midlife crisis" thing and discussions around it often revolve around judgmental comments about this or that crazy thing that some person did that maybe someone else secretly wish they could. It can truly be a gift, a time as you call it of coming back to yourself if we let ourselves to. Time to take a closer look at our core values, feelings, dreams in the name of the rest of our life. Thank you for starting this conversation and for having a courage to take your personal journey online as it is quite unique perspective that you bring to the table. Much love, Kasia
Thank you for your lovely comment! I'd be happy if this video sparked at least a little bit of self reflection. And your comment is proof that it did 🤎
Pati, you’re a philosopher at heart. I believe you’re correct in your analysis of mid-life “crisis”. When we are in our teens and twenty’s we live a life of carelessness and in our forties and beyond we live a life of responsibility and over thoughtfulness for what is to come. But one thing you didn’t mention is fear…fear of delving and/or taking the steps to realizing one’s potential. Thank you for a thought provoking conversation. Happy weekend to you.
I am a philosopher indeed, haha. Thank you for your lovely comment 😊 And you are right, I didn't mention fear, didn't even realise. This, for sure, is a massive factor, but maybe slso a topic for a different video 😉
Hello Pati :) good luck on your channel. If I may I'd advise you to do another channel in your native language (Polish?). Even if the market is smaller there's less competence and it can make you get viral faster.
It's always wise to start a blog :) But if you are looking to monetize it, my one advice would be to be prepared to wait for 2 to 4 years before you can make a living out of it. It's a marathon, not a sprint 🤎

That's so true! Only now we see more and more content and education on this which is great! ♥️

Thanks for your tips but I hardly have time to run this one alongside my blog and full time job :) But maybe one day, who knows 😜
❤
I want to start a Travel Blog. Do you think is wise to do? Can I earn a living doing this?
