Bring on the glorious 16th June. Let's hope there's no more sewage pumped in before hand. If you would like a reasonable day ticket with year round fishing, Goldsworth Park lake in Woking. Nice Tench Bream Carp etc. Only £8 for the day, free parking & a cafe on site.

@MUCKER671 Chertsey is my nearest stretch of the Thames , but, I've been fishing the Basingstoke canal a lot in the winter, decent Perch, Pike & Roach, but the Cormorants & Mink are getting a plague. Don't get too itchy waiting for June.
Got some cream for the itch bud..🤣 Your lucky to live near the Thames, especially Chertsey area, it's definitely a great spot for Barbel when you're tucked up by the Wier. It costs me around £70 in fuel each visit.. Ouch..! Plus Camping etc. Serves me right for having a small camper with a 3 L Diesel engine.🥴 Worth every penny. Lol..😂 If you see me in the Bellyboat this summer give us a shout and I'll pop over for a chat..😊👍
@MUCKER671 yes, same reason I don't fish my favourite river, the Arun. I'll be on the meads mainly late afternoon through to dusk, find it best time, especially for chub. I'll keep my eye out for ya. Take care now ;)
Love the Arun, Hardham & Watersfield my fav's.. Massive Mullet in the summer on Bread, loads of big Bream if you can find um.. All the best bud..😊👍
