The one I drive doesn't show the idle timer feature. When I picked it up for the company(from driver who quit) I recall dash saying shutdown disabled but in one day driving it it somehow undisabled...I have no idea how it was disabled.

Idle shutdown is NOT a "cool feature". Its a nightmare for all truckers. We NEED AC and heat. We shouldnt have to play silly games just to be comfortable. This is flawed, useless technology
Does that option have a specific code? What other engine option codes would you recommend for an owner operator to order on a 389 with a cummins 605 and an MXP 18sp ultrashift?
Randal, that is a very loaded question. Just the transmission alone is a whole new ballgame. Has your sales pro went through parameter sets with you based off your application?
@@LargeCarjw Yes somewhat, although he is fairly unfamiliar with the autoshift. What we are really wanting , is the new TX-18 pro. Not announced yet with the big Cummins. Our build slot is Decemberish. Have you heard any new on that front?

It has to be added pre-build. Talk to your sales guy about doing a Change Order. If it is outside 12 weeks it should be easy. Each change order will cost you money so they will have to guide you.
This Feature is bullshitFeature is awful. The ac with the apu is not working and my truck won't stay running. So looks like no sleep for me it's over 100 degrees in my truck.

@@randalhuseby the tx-18 is the real deal. Eaton is testing that tranny at 350kgvw. No joke.

How did you get the app from Peterbuilt?
What is the max timer limit? Would be useful in the cold midwest winters
Time limit is 30 minutes
Is it too late to add that on my build? I have an April 26 build date
