I know a lot of cars have digital dashes but the typical life of a car is not nearly as rough as a truck is exposed to. We'll have to wait to see if it hold up to the miles that a typical truck accumulates in a lifetime not to mention the ones that are driven off road like loggers and rock haulers
Well I can't see all the trucks going digital quite yet. There is a HUGE computer chip shortage, so I am thinking for the Big Rig Factories, they would be willing to putting in Analog dash boards for the time being to cut costs...
On the left side of the steering wheel, the button above the on and off button. Just push and hold that down for 3 secs. It'll reset everything to 0 again. A thru z.
So what do you do if it freezes? This is the second time. The first time luckily I was about to stop for the night. Now I have to make an 11 hour drive with no dash. Luckily Google maps has a built in speedometer. Just gonna fuel up and hope for the best!
I told my company that in 3 months time the fucking - will break like every other digital the other digital thing, and now like you I am driving around with no Speedometer and now I have to unplug batteries that I can't even reach because there's no reset button on this fucking computer
Curious if you can customize the Dash to having Gauges on the Screen than that setup? I understand everything is going digital, but I would like gauges....
@@darrenfike924 Because pointless electronic gadgets are the way forward (when they break, theyre more complicated to fix meaning more time in the shop. Hourly rates aren't cheap.)

I'm sorry but the digital dash is junk.... First off, it's not repairable which means you have to replace the whole thing as a unit for everything that goes wrong that a software update can't fix... Second, all this digital stuff can't hold up to the damn roads out here banging around so much... It's like putting your flat screen TV in the back of your pickup truck and driving around town for a month and expecting it to work. And you're going to learn to hate those chimes all the time.... They are going to drive you nuts to the point where you throw your hands up in the air and say what's wrong now ... Stay with the damn analog gauge package that works... If it ain't broke don't fix it
Personally, I can’t stand it. If I could do whatever I want, I’d have real gauges in a truck that was at least 30 years older than this POS! I think the whole thing stinks! This is not progress as far as I’m concerned.

Where is the autostart? My company put me in a brand new 579, but I cannot find how to do the auto start. It's not on the dash like my old truck
I will sum it up in two words, IT SUCKS. It's back to Kenworth W900l for me. If I wanted something like this I would buy a Volvo.

I actually love "No Navigation" option. Because lets face it, it's crap anyway. Better to buy aftermarket. Like Garmin, it works a bit better.
