Those cattle have already had a few rides in the trailer so they had some training! Lol I'm just glad one of them didn't step on the camera! That would have cost me a couple $$
Nice scenery !! Did ya say a 100 head on that load ?? what kinda wieght would that be ya reckon ? just curious !! Thanks for takin us along on the trip i enjoyed it Sir !! That tunnel Ya went through made me think of that low RR tunnel on 390 near Independence , i come thru there cutting across , and i though what will i do now , i pulled up into a dirt road , which i figured i should have backed in , this lady come walking towards me , figured she was gonna scold me , but she told me it went over the tracks & around to the road , I coulda hugged neck !! I bet ya know the one im talkin about too !! I had been i think to Ledbetter to horse ranch with a load of bulk shavings & decided to take the scenic route coming back . thats been a day or two i might be wrong on Ledbetter . Thanks Driver !! Keep on Truckin !!
Yes, 100 head! It was pretty heavy, they didn't tell us exactly how much they weighed, just said stay off the interstate, lol, I'm guessing between 54,000 and 56,000 lbs, all those cattle were over 500 lbs each. I bet that was a relief when you found out you could go around that low RR track, dang GPS has got me in a bind a couple of times, there are a few low bridges I've had to creep under before to make sure I didn't hit, lol thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!

@@jamesconn7311 yes, we do have a few different rules to go by, we get extra drive hours because of agricultural and don't have to have an ELD, but the weight is the same but most shippers try to get as much on us as possible! Have a great weekend yourself!
@@TheRedpete379 yes, weight does matter and it has to be distributed properly, you definitely don't want to be top heavy! You take head count and average weight per head and spread out over the whole trailer. For example if you are loading 70 hd average weight of 740 lbs you would put 7 hd in the bottom nose compartment, 7 on the back, and split the rest between the top pot and bottom, the nose can handle around 6,000 lbs as well as the back and the pots around 21,000 lbs, a good rule of thumb is to load the bottom nose and back end with the first number of your total count, 60 hd - 6 hd in nose in back, 65 hd, 7 hd in nose and back etc, if you get over 80 hd the cattle are typically going to be smaller cattle so you will then start using the top nose and the jail/dog house which is a small compartment on the back of the trailer on the top.
@@tymaze2539 it's a Wilson, only the top is set up that way, the bottom only has one gate right in the middle, I have another trailer that has double gates in the bottom, works great for picking up sale barn cattle!
Thanks for checking in, been busy, a lot going on, just got back from Alaska, got an announcement to make shortly! I have a bunch of video and pictures from the trip, but back on the road this week, hopefully I'll be able to put together a video before long of the Alaska trip! I just need some time behind the computer!
Jeez that trailer was clean. I was impressed by the wash job someone did. Another great video! Also more great educational information on the overseas bovine. How do you like the dashcam you have? Stay safe driver.
Thank you for watching! The washout in Bryan's Corner Oklahoma does an awesome job! I've purchased 3 of those dash cams, so far I don't have any complaints! And yes, every once in a while I get to do something cool like unload cattle off my trailer straight onto a ship!😁
I knew someone that got me into it, I was in the communications field for 25 years before and was laid off, so I decided to try something different, six and a half years in so far!
😁 it's only a 9 cut trailer, I like the 2 gates up top, helps with loading and unloading, especially with the ones that don't want to cooperate! My other trailer is a 10 cut, it was set up for hauling sale barn cattle when the buyer had numerous cuts or you had to pick up several sale barns in one trip and need to keep the cattle separated.
Another great video sir. Thank you and keep up the great videos 👍
Thank you for the comment and thanks for watching!
Great video!
Thank you!
They loaded better than I thought they were going to. That was like the chassis cam on barrett Jackson when the camera fell.

Do you feel them moving around back there in a Semi like you do with a pickup and gooseneck?
Yes you can, steers tend to move around more than heifers do, the bigger they are the more you can feel them!

How mush per mile?
$5.20 a loaded mile currently
