@lightbluefeatherz I've been charged a few times but I'm usually pretty aware so was able to get out of the way. I've had a few hand injuries from cattle pushing gates and pulled a ham string once getting out of the way of a mean one but nothing too serious
@ always need to be aware of your surroundings definitely, I don’t know about cattle but hogs can be so damn stubborn, they can definitely be a challenge at times.
Think every trucker wants to haul cattle. Ive been heavy haulin for 20 years and every time i see a cattle pot i wish id got into livestock haulin when i was younger
I've kinda noticed from working at the Barn when u put them all in that long pen on sale day they kinda get a littel energy wore off them pretty quick like and then you figuer how long they get 2 stay in the barn b4 its ride time .. you know how it is but the cows are usaly not wore down ... you probaly think I'm crazy after I say this but I think thar behavior has a good bit 2 do wit the phases of moon.
I rase bucking bulls and I treat them like they are my pets I can walk in my bulls pens and go pet them all day long I’ve been been around cattle my whole life
It'd be nice to raise them so you know which ones to look out for but when I pick up a mix of bulls that I've never seen before I don't know which ones are out to get me until it happens so I treat them all as if they would
And I rase Mexican fighting bulls for freestyle bullfighting those are the bulls you really need to worry about because they will get you no matter what and No they don’t see red that is a myth
When I pick up a mix of bulls I've never seen or been around before I treat them all as if they're all out to get me even though most of them are fine. It's the one I don't know about that'll get you
I got slammed by my own Holstein bull, and I had led him on a halter 1 year before. Cracked my face. Dairy bulls are the worst, no fear of people. I work with beef bulls now, and they aren't as dangerous as the "good momma" cows.
Them Black Angus are normally pretty good i grew up with them and raised a bull to be a stud he was chill guy still had to be careful he new he could hurt you but he was still good bull
@@CattleHauling50 oh yes never trust them fucken things I do miss the farming days but then im thinking back like fuck that money sucked all the hard work id love to get into hauling cattle I still go help my cousin with his farm
Getting with them they are look so calm😊
Any of them can turn on you in an instant
this sale barn is like a corn maze with its high wood fences and narrow alleys. Cant see anything
Question sir, @ 9:40 looks like they were getting rough... have they ever charged you off guard? Have you ever been injured in this line of work?

Never hauled cattle, but I hauled hogs up here in Canada for a couple years. They can be a real headache sometimes.
@lylesommers5018 I haven’t hauled hogs but the crazy cattle and bulls will come at you. Always need to be aware of the surroundings

It's never too late to try if it's something you really want to do. It's not for everyone though
Good Lord I don't want to drive down the road with a load that will constantly move and then you have a tight schedule
My post Herefords ain't Peckerwoods like Li'l Junior, over there. Glad he's "been sent to Town", for obvious reasons....
👍😁
I should start a lumper service to help with the loading and unloading LoL 😂
I did it for a living for a while but it takes a special kind of person to haul packer cattle
Appreciate the comment. Thanks for watching
What part of the country do you haul
I don't haul cattle any longer but when I did it was in the Southeast
Man , put some woodshavings in that trailer lol!
We don't use shavings for kill cows
Y'all probably don't use shavings ever lol! Makes it less gross on the floor.
Where are they going to?
Meat packing plant
Wat you say driver how are you?
@@billybobs841 Doing great! Thanks for asking. Hope all is well with you!

Yes sometimes they calm down a bit after being there a while
Good stuff
Those 1st black bulls looks like about the hole pen was from 1 farm the bulls all looked verry similar
It's possible
It’s ashamed that Hereford bull acted like that Bc we hardly had any problems with that breed but with new genetics that makes acted that way
Yes they all have different upbringings and personalities
@@CattleHauling50 very true who parents are how good is temper and all that anymore seems most of them losing calmness and hardly any health problems

Looks like the bull that was acting weird was caught with his short pants on!...minute 38:00 He was expecting to chill that day!
He was on his way to chill at the packing plant
What's the paper u signed hanging up
It is a list of each cow or bull with its tag #, weight, price, etc. I just wrote down how many head were left for the next driver
@@CattleHauling50 why would they put price on paper
@@calebmanuel17 It just states the price payed for each head

Double x slow ones.

Once in a while I get an easy one
@@CattleHauling50 that’s for sure you be careful don’t turn your back on any of them

I had a jersey bull that weight 800 pounds that came after me and broke 6 ribs on me
Those are the confrontations I try to avoid. Maybe good thing it was only about 800. Bulls I haul average 1800 so I tend to play it safe
