He'll yeah,
G5👍👍👍
We’re you loading up at 44 farms
@@kenshaw8100 no, at a place north of there, at a buyers ranch
😊hello again G5 seems I remember quite a few historic markers along 83 heading south close to the Canadian River couldn’t read them ,I was riding shotgun, and no room for big trucks.Tx. History is very interesting to me ,the Tx. Country reporter and u tube keep me tuned up. Happy trails and ,motor easy.
@@mikeamdahl yes, a lot of history in Texas and in that area, very interesting! Thank you! Hitting the road in the morning for southern Colorado! Just glad it's going to be warm enough that I don't have to worry about the snow/ice!
First time seeing a short-hood with a bullrack, lol! I was beginning to think those bull haulers simply hated anything that's not a long-hood, lol! Even if that is the case, I can't blame em, lol!
@@IndigenousAmericanTrucker lol, back in the day there were plenty of short hoods pulling doubles, but now days it seems it all about the extended hoods and frames, but the old 378 gets the job done and I don't have problems fitting on a 70 foot scale!😁
Truly beautiful!!
@@wesvortherms349 yes! And even more so in person!
Good job I was always curious about how loading transport and unloading went down. 👍🏽👍🏽
@@user-ke9gi2hq1y thank you! Glad I could help!😁
Nice video , i 've seen things ,that i never seen before ,probably wont never get up that way , appreciate Ya bringing to us !! Thanks . Dear Ol Daddy & several more around here was up on the Trans Alaskan Pipeline, mid 70's , he took many photos , the Last Frontier i guess !! Enjoy Your time there & be safe , & taker easy Truck Driver !!
@@jamesconn7311 I'm glad you liked it! The father of some friends I grew up with was a welder on that pipeline in the 70s as well, always had stories to tell. Back then I never dreamed of owning land there, but you never know what life will bring ya! We can't wait to get moved up there and see what type of adventures we will have! Thank you!
@@G5OutdoorAdventures Yw Sir !! Well good Luck & Best Wishes to You & Yours when yall do make the move !! Will ya be able to retire when ya get there or still have to work , really aint none my business . Im happy for You two !! Enjoy it Take Care & keep us Posted !!
@@jamesconn7311 thank you! The plan is to build a few cabins on one side of the lake to rent for Air BnBs and after that I may try and do some guided fishing in the summers, my wife will probably try to get some sort of state job in Kenai or Soldotna, the rest we will just go with the flow, I'll probably hang on to one of my trucks just in case I need to pick up a little extra $$$, who knows maybe my TH-cam channel will blow up filming adventures and we can just live off that! 😃😁🤑🫣
@@G5OutdoorAdventures Sounds like a good plan !! Get up there & Live the Dream !! I do wish Yall the best & enjoy !! Thanks !!

Love this! I cant wait for our cross country trip next summer. Looking forward to all of the adventures our family will share. So happy for ya’ll. ❤

Almost as pretty as Austin or Dallas lol I wouldn’t want to leave there ever Very beautiful place Thank you for the video
I'm a 7th generation Texan, but Alaska feels like home! Just beautiful! It's so peaceful and the people we have met so far are just so nice and laid back! thank you for watching!

Thank God for the Left Lane . Have some good memories . After 35 years out there in that Large car 379x .😂
Awesome! thank you for all the years you put in! What did you have under the hood?
Something that might make it interesting is if u suggest what kind of $ u make.

There’s nothing like being in a truck at 1:30 in the morning on a warm summer night going through the Ok. Pan handle down to Perry ton and Canadian and points south. God bless America and god bless the great state of Texas.⭐️
@@mikeamdahl heck yeah! Amen to that! 7th Generation Texan right here!
Nice truck older the better
@@TheRedpete379 for sure! They were built tough! Not plastic throw aways!
Big country
@@TheRedpete379 sure is!
Awsome big load of cattle how do you know how to load that for weight or does that not matter 😀
@@TheRedpete379 yes, weight does matter and it has to be distributed properly, you definitely don't want to be top heavy! You take head count and average weight per head and spread out over the whole trailer. For example if you are loading 70 hd average weight of 740 lbs you would put 7 hd in the bottom nose compartment, 7 on the back, and split the rest between the top pot and bottom, the nose can handle around 6,000 lbs as well as the back and the pots around 21,000 lbs, a good rule of thumb is to load the bottom nose and back end with the first number of your total count, 60 hd - 6 hd in nose in back, 65 hd, 7 hd in nose and back etc, if you get over 80 hd the cattle are typically going to be smaller cattle so you will then start using the top nose and the jail/dog house which is a small compartment on the back of the trailer on the top.
Very Nice,,,thank you Friend
Thank you for watching!
Nice 👌

Y does your old trailer have ok Oklahoma plates on it
yes it does
@G5OutdoorAdventures u should have Texas plates for it
@@matthewwade4646 i had it registered in Oklahoma when I bought it, if you do that then annual renewal is only a little over $9.00, if Texas did that then I would have got it registered in TX, look around on the highways, you will see tons of trailers with Oklahoma plates 😁 i had Oklahoma plates other newer trailer as well
OK cause I was just curious
Real man's work, no democrats
I remember back in August seeing you come through Gatesville.I suppose you were headed to Dimmitt
@@MichialKey cool! There is no telling where I was headed, I run through Gatesville quite a bit and when I get to Abilene then I either head west or north depending on what feed lot they are sending me to-

Amazing video, i would love to get into this industry. Awesome tunes as well. Question, whats the song title @ 33:21?
@@lightbluefeatherz thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'll have to look back at the video on my computer when I get back home in a couple days and I'll let ya know, can't remember off the top of my head!😁
@@lightbluefeatherz I'm back home now and went and looked at the song title, it's called "Under the Dark Sky" by Johan Glossner, I like that one too, thought it was fitting for the sunset and going into the evening drive
Thank you so much! Totally goes with the video brother! You have great musical taste👌@G5OutdoorAdventures
@@lightbluefeatherz thank you, it takes a while filtering through music to go with the video, I started out using the free TH-cam music collection and then finally broke down a paid for a service so I could get more choices!😁

Good looking ride and even better with all that emissions BS on it
@@Solo-di5om thank you! Yes all the emissions junk just causes a bunch of break downs, these big motors need to be able to breathe!
@ yes I have a 2012 386 when I bought it every week I was in the shop, I heard about a shop south of Atlanta so I took it to him got it deleted and I never had a problem with it again besides just normal maintenance
@Solo-di5om funny how that works out! You can't make money if the truck is in the shop all the time!

Really nice looking truck. My first truck was a 1978 cab over double wide 180 inch wheelbase eight Bagheera rod with a KT 615 speed overdrive.

Thanks for allowing us to tag along. Been on alot of those roads!
@@matthewheinze1231 your welcome! Glad you stopped by to watch! Yeah I've rolled down them a time or two myself, 😁 be safe out there!
Have you hauled cattle in Florida before?
@@calebmanuel17 no, the farthest east i have went was Mississippi
Is it sales barn where you pick cattle or private own ranch?? Where the neighbors bring their cattle to sell cattle and load.
@@calebmanuel17 most of the places I pick up at now are private owned ranches, used to pick up sale barn cattle for several years but haven't done that in a while
@@G5OutdoorAdventures So Private Ranch has Contract with feedlot so the Feedlot buyers will buy these cattle from this Ranch
@@calebmanuel17 sometimes that is the case, other times it's what feedlot is willing to pay the highest price, sometimes we are loaded and on the road for several hours before we even know where they are going, just head north!😁 if I don't hear anything by the time I get to Childress, TX I'll call to see if I head towards Amarillo or go up 83 towards Kansas
Lott Texas is where me and my gang used to by our western wear back in the 70's
Y did u sell your new trailer
@@matthewwade4646 2 reasons, one is we are gearing up to move to Alaska and needed the money to get utilities installed on our property, the other reason is this year has been really slow and with insurance going through the roof and other expenses trucking I got rid of a pretty hefty monthly payment on that newer trailer, I really liked it and it was a good trailer and looked nice behind the truck but now all my equipment that I use is paid for, so a lot less stress when times are slow!
@@G5OutdoorAdventures I understand everything

Have you dealt with vegans before like fuel island truck stops I know some vegan follow the bullhaulers in hwy as well.
@@calebmanuel17 not really, luckily the only time I have ever dealt with someone like that was when I was pulling out of a truck stop, a woman pulled in and stuck her hand out and made an L for loser with her fingers, I just waved and smiled! 😁
