      Your welcome and thanks for watching! Are you still hauling cattle? I can't tell you how many times I've been through there, that's the main route we take to most of the feed lots in western Kansas, I usually stop on one end of town or the other to check the cattle on the way through.

    Thank you for sharing video, i miss hauling cattle, over here hauling dairy milk
    Couldnt fine anyone to pay me right, 500 to 800 aweek isnt going to pay the bill & food on the table, plus save for my own Pete & trailer
    Dairy, i am doing 1200 to 1500, and still can save a lil bet

      Thanks for watching! Yeah it's tuff right now, even for those of us with our own trucks and trailers, just don't seem to be enough loads to go around, glad you're making it hauling milk, one of my grandpa's did that for many years!

    Thank Ya Sir for another good video , i enjoyed watching it !! i was out near Brenham i guessing the year 2011 which may not be right but , i had went to look at a Jeep , they had some bad fires out that way , i asked the Ol Boy about them , he said he could see it coming towards his place & not far away from his place he it split and went either side of his place there , i thought wow how lucky or The Man upstairs was watching over them , i do recall some lost it all that year , really dry here in East Texas that year .

      Thank you for stopping by and watching another one. Yes 2011 was the year, that was the big Bastrop TX fire, 32,000 acres caused by high winds and trees that had not been trimmed close to power lines, that fire was about 35 minutes from where I live, had friends that lost everything in that fire, just devastating! Labor Day weekend was when it started, we were at Canyon Lake and on the way home you could see the fire and smoke for miles!

    Fill up every other day? Wow....That's some serious expenses partner. Thanks for letting me tag along. This is very interesting. I retired from driving buses so, I know what it's like to sit and drive for hours. All people see is that you're sitting all day and they think it's easy, plus you load and unload cattle. Safe travels.

      Thanks for stopping by and watching. Yes fuel is my biggest expense on an annual basis! The driving part is just one aspect of it, loading and unloading cattle has it's own challenges, plus with the cost of service it pays to know how to do a lot of your own maintenance, changing tires, breaks, oil changes etc.! Thank you!

    Wow. Very sobering video at the end. So heartbreaking for all those who suffered loss and will continue to feel the effects for years to come.

      thank you and yes just awful and will take a long time for the area to come back, but homesteads that have been in the families for generations will never be the same

    When fuel went to 1.00 a gallon I thought the world ended. I still get disgusted at the fuel pump.

    • @G5OutdoorAdventures
      @G5OutdoorAdventures  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I hear ya! When fuel went over $5 a gallon in 2022 and I was spending over $1400 to fuel up, it left very little if any for profit, the freight rate increases couldn't keep up, it was basically just cash flow, in the account and right back out! Disgusted is correct! Have a great day and thanks for watching!
