Oh my gosh these are great! I just love watching you make them and love how you share your learnings. The first one is my favourite. I’m thinking I might try a green. ❤
This is excellent and creates so many thoughts on idea. Am thinking of transforming older pieces of canvas print art that I wanted to dump into plaster 3D art that I wanted to buy on Etsy for $1k plus. I assume the plaster is "plaster of Paris"? Also, what is the name of the large tool that spreads it flat?
Yes, it's just plaster ☺️ To be honest, depending on the project and the thickness, O sometimes experience cracks. But with this one, no cracks at all 💕
It’s therapeutic just to watch the brush strokes to the music. I like the finished product. I think 🤔 I’d have to add some dashes or dots of colour into the pattern to satisfy my artistic itch. 🥹
Yes! Do it! I was thinking of adding black, but I'm always afraid of going one step further and not liking the final product 😅 That's why I'm playing safe, but you go for it 🥰
This is just regular plaster. I don't know the brand since I bought it so many years ago and I keep it in a separate box ☺️ I think any plaster would work 🫶
Hey , hope u can help me , i have seen many videos almost everyone is mixing plaster and water but mine always failed it gets immediately dry when i stop mixing or while pouring until i add acrylic paints half the ratio of plaster , can u tell me why this happen 😢
Hmm I have no idea why this is happening 😥 Are you doing bigger batches? Maybe if you're doing bigger batches of plaster, you need to use a mixing machine, because it can get dry pretty quick if it's not mixed right. And is it working with the acrylic paint?
I had tried with 1:1 of water and plaster , than plaster and water than i had changed ratio also 2:1 plaster and compound but nothing works until and unless i add acrylics , and that is very costly
Hi! I bought a canvas and plaster of Paris and mixed it with water - I left the painting to dry overnight and the entire thing cracked and fell off the canvas - do you know why this is happening?
Omg 😞 I'm so sorry to hear that.. I have never experienced something like that, but I am guessing that it may be due to the plaster being too watered down, or it dried too fast.. If you're trying this for the second time, maybe add plastering tape underneath to prevent cracking, and mix the plaster a bit thicker
I've read that you should paint canvas first. Prime the canvas: Apply a layer of primer or gesso on the canvas surface. This will create a smooth and absorbent surface for the plaster mixture to adhere to.
The first one!! But loved them both❤❤❤
So glad you liked it 🥰
The first one for sure! So beautiful 😍😍
I am so happy I have found this channel! Thank you for making this!

Relaxing and beautiful

Hi! Thanks for the video :) Is it ok to use modeling paste as well ?
Any tips on how to stop the plaster from drying too quickly?
Hey..
Love your channel.
You are amazing
Just one question because of the texture of the plaster why not paint it with spary ?
plaster casting powder can be used?
This is gorgeous! How did you make your plaster?
@@sashabaken5439 I just mixed it with water 🥰
Can we do it with acrylics?? Esp the last one
What is your portioning for plaster? ❤️ Loved the first one!
Hi, my ratio is 1:1 so for every cup of plaster I add a cup of water 🥰
Are you using Plaster of Paris Joint Compound? I love them both. Great job! 🤗
@@CoCo-zx4cd Plaster of Paris
Love the squares! Which color did you used to paint it?
I am always mixing my own colors, and have no idea what color is it at the end 🤣💕

Yes, it is Plaster of Paris ☺️ Also, the tool is called "plastering knife" I think 💕
Beautiful can I use the acrylic paint on the first one?
Yes you can!
@@HomeByMon thank you.
Hi Mona - which color did you use in the first one?
Did you use Plaster of Paris? Or did you use Joint Compound? Love 😊
Plaster of Paris :)
Did you use plaster or spackle? Because plaster usually dries really quick if not mixed with other ingredients.
I used Plaster of Paris, but you could use spackle or joint compound too 🥰
Hi Mon, what mixture do you use to do this ? Literally only plaster ? Is it not going to crack overtime ? Xoxo :)
Yes, it's just plaster ☺️ To be honest, depending on the project and the thickness, O sometimes experience cracks. But with this one, no cracks at all 💕
Can I use this rechnique on walls and how doni make the plaster mix
Yes, however if you are using it on walls, you might want to use drywall tape first to prevent cracks
Could you share which plaster products are you using?
I used some local brands, they don't come in packages

Can you pl suggest if mixing plaster of paris with water is better or with glue and white paint?
I am always mixing my plaster with water, I haven't tried glue and paint ☺
@@HomeByMon ok thank you for replying
Hi what paint did you use for top coat?
Acrylic paint, the one used for painting walls :)
What kind of paint do you use?
I use acrylic paint, the one that is used for painting walls ☺️
Thank you so much.
Is this just regular plaster? Is there a specific brand you bought?

No i m just doing a test patches , sure will try again to add water 1st , than i will let u know , Thanks

I am confused now. Why is this happening 😥 Maybe an important step would also be to always add the water first, and then pour the plaster.
It looks as though you used two different shades of plaster.
Yes 🙌 It totally does
