My Dad got a ticket in Denver, involved a fender bender so he had to go to court. I think he was about 81 at the time. He was a great driver, not the old guy who went 30 in the left lane during rush hour. Dad was afraid they would "take" his license. The judge gave 5 minute monologue to the gallery telling all there they should be ashamed that an 80 something YO man would be here for his FIRST traffic offense.

His attitudes remind me of Luke 10:27; “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” God Loves you, Judge Caprio sir; thank you for the many lessons on Love and Respect you taught us throughout the years.

We don't have anything like that here in Germany... there's also no appreciation for people who work in the fire brigade, the police or the military... that's so sad. In the USA, there where whole street-parades that are only made when an K-9-Dog retires... I think that's so cool, that's a form of respect that's absolutely superhuman, just awesome!
