The way every single person above the age of 70 comes dressed for the court shows how much they respect themselves and the others even though they never really violated any traffic rule. Huge respect!
They purchased those suits 30 or 40 years ago when they weren't as marked up as they are now and the dollar worth a lot more.

"I knew when I saw him as a young man, that he would be successful and everything" means.
The judge here means that the moment he saw the young man he realized that the man was going to be successful in life. It's essentially an appreciation of how far the man has come in life.
The phrase "I've known when I saw him as a young man, he'd be successful and everything" is grammatically incorrect. I can give you two examples of the grammatically correct version of your phrase:
1) "I knew when I saw him as a young man, that he'd be successful and everything"
2) "I've known from the moment I saw him as a young man, that he'd be successful in life"
The first sentence is more appealing as well as more impactful to the person you are saying it to in my opinion, also the second line could maybe be written as "I've known since I saw him as a young man, that he'd be successful in life" but I am not sure about this so maybe someone else could confirm it. Hope I helped :D

I am so looking forward to beeing an old f***. I will tell kids in the store to listen to their mother, and shout at the kids on skateboards. Maybe have a fruit garden so I can shout at the youngsters stealing apples. I will give ridiculous amoubts of candy at Hallowen, maybe make some sort of terrible maze innfront of the house. It will be marvellous. I will certainly not becom and old fart, or forbid, an old man. That would be tragic.

Actually, the Judge implied that the defendant was not truthful about not being there when the violation occured (how could there be two vehicles with same registration?).

@@MrAnanthaP It IS possible, have heard the dispatcher on the police scanner here call off 2 vehicles with the same plate number, they were in different parts of the state!
If you’ve been watching his videos in Rhode Island they have commercial plates and regular plates and sometimes they have the same plate numbers

The NATO laughed over russia all the time and did not stick to contracts at all. Russia warned all the time to the western powers "Go away with your rockets from our borders, stick to the contracts!" but the NATO in special america laughed about that and kept breaking contracts.

Judge has a terrific memory. I'm in my 70's now. Half of the time I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday, while I'm wandering around looking for my car keys that I set down somewhere. Someone once said "The two things you lose as you get old is your memory, and the other is.... damn, I can't remember the other one"

Whenever I get down on myself, I watch an episode of the Judge and his actions in his Courtroom, and suddenly I realize there are good people still around us.

I am in my 30's and I have seen countless movies and read few books always depicting people in old age talking about regrets in life, seeing such wholesome experience just made me smile maybe down the road it won't always be regrets some interactions like this one can make one see all his/her accomplishments and service to society.
I can't keep mum when I hear his wisdom of king solomon. His generosity, unbiased judgement, humour, examining total background, situation, position,contribution to society is really marvelous. Long live judge. You are a living witness to judicial fraternity.
Whenever I watch videos of Judge Caprio, tears come out. They are not tears of sadness, they are of great emotion. God bless you mr. Caprio!

In a world where so many do so much wrong, it is truly heart-warming to see these types of "real-life" stories. I have a deep respect for Judge Caprio. He balances the exercise of justice with common sense (highly uncommon these days!) compassion, and integrity. A certain former President could learn something from this individual.
This judge is truly the salt of the earth! Kudos to him for his respect, compassion, and yet professionalism. I have watched many of these videos and wish him the best in his retirement, and life!

What a wonderful human and an amazing judge. We need thousands more just like him. So full of humanity, and empathy. But knows when to draw the line. He is definitely serving and protecting as an officer of the court in his own way.

everytime I get home from work I watch a few Judge vidoe's, it reminds me that there are still good People because when in city centre it very quickly becomes easy to forget the goodness of some. Keep praying for Judge Caprio🙏

Two classy guys for sure! You see kids, this is how important your reputation follows you through your life. The judge remembered the defendant after 50 years, primarily, because the defandant was good honest young man in his youth. You can't get a good reputation with education nor can you buy it....but it's the easiest thing in the world to acquire.

These gentlemen deserve truly deserve the title " Gentlemen" and I certainly would refer to both of them as such. Most men, especially the politicians in Washington who refer to each other in Congress as gentlemen are nothing of the sort. Calling someone a gentleman is something that is earned, not given away just because you are in a certain position. May you both live many more happy and successful years.

Every time I‘m just about to give up on the USA I find something like this on youtube - I know such a wonderful human like this judge has a lot of power over people and there are probably people who do the opposite with their power - but I just want to believe that the friendly people I met there when I went on vacation in the US are still there
