Essa foto do Rampal tocando a flauta com arco, ficou simplesmente o máximo..! 😁😁😁 Mostra que além de um grande músico, uma personalidade divertida..! Maravilhoso...!!!
Wow. I know this concerto well; but as a violin piece. This is the first time I've ever heard it on Flute. Like the Kkatchaturian, he has turned this into a flute concerto; it doesn't feel like a transcription. What a magnificent flutist!
I love how he's giving flute with a touch of violin. BRILLIANT. I thank the Universe for allowing me to meet and see this amazingly gifted flutist live. Monsieur Rampal is the reason I began to play this beautiful instrument. 😊😥❤❤❤
I recognize this performance from an LP album done in the 1960s. It also had Bach's g minor concerto and two Telemann concertos. Nice to hear this again after so many years. Thanks.
You have a good sense of humor. I love this version of the violin concerto. Rampal does a lovely job. When I was in college, I played this with a dear friend. She plays the flute.
thank you for your comment! it explains a lot about the sound difference. i was wondering why the change in the sound, as i am more used to his later recordings.

It's fantastic!!!!! Jean -pierre Rampal is the better player of flute of alls times!!!

Tjs le son apaisant et le legato maîtrisé pour un écoulement de la musique de Bach fans les meilleures conditions .

This photograph indicates a rather unconventional technique for tone production related to modern flute performance

Thank you so much for uploading !
Heavenly music and performance
I hate to be rude or anything, but its actually his first concerto for violin, not second. Still wonderfully played though.
every correction is well accepted
The analog recordings helped a lot to that warm abd fuller tone adquired. Independently if you like Rampal sound or not.

That must be the Lot flute ... the Haynes just could never sound like that in the adagio. The delicacy

Puro Rock & Roll
Aber doch nicht mit einem solchen Verdi-Vibrato!
