There was a time when aged about 21 when I thought this was a great recording!! But......now at 80... I realise how sharp he plays...understandable on a Haynes flute with sharp LH notes. I still admire his sound and musicianship and went to Paris to take lessons from him in 1969. He is a soloist in the same bracket as Rampal and Galway.

Wow. I know this concerto well; but as a violin piece. This is the first time I've ever heard it on Flute. Like the Kkatchaturian, he has turned this into a flute concerto; it doesn't feel like a transcription. What a magnificent flutist!

I'm sorry to say this Mr. Pahud is a fantastic flautist and teacher but he's too sexy for me to finish the whole video without being distracted 🤣my fault I guess🤣
