The Lords returning and we are almost out of time so this is pretty irrelevant for me to even think about a tattoo right now at this particular point in time.

I have a tattoo but its useless. So i wont get anymore. Sometimes, I think about it. Its just for vain purposes not spreading Gods word.

Jesus teaches us that what is inside of us is important and not the outside, those that want to focus on the outside are missing the point.

There is a difference between a tattoo that draws attention to self and a tattoo talking about Christ or The Bible. That tattoo of the ✝️ or Bible Verse may be the only "sermon" an observer may have seen or heard. Be careful about assuming how God can or cannot use people. We don't know how every believer/future believer on earth or those already in Heaven was or will be introduced to Christ.

Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit therefore I believe it’s not appropriate to get a tattoo

As for someone "needing" a tattoo to relate to certain people better, investing in the lives of others takes time and effort, and a tattoo is too cheap to count as an investment in the long run. Its worth is used up in the first meeting. I am very sure Jesus could and would relate to the tattooed without getting one, as we can see by those who are saved. If getting a tattoo is a sin, the sin is not the tattoo by itself but rather why they got the tattoo. One does not need a tattoo to speak to that. What good is a Christian tattoo on someone not displaying the fruit of the Spirit? And if one is displaying the fruit of the Spirit, everyone already knows the one is a believer.

Strange that you did not quote scripture. 1 Cor 3:17 says we should not defile the temple of God. I don't know if surgical and sterilisation procedures like tubal ligation is also considered defilement. 🤔

If people are going to follow one part of Leviticus, they have to follow the rest. Cant pick one verse, call it mandatory today and not apply all of it. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Leviticus 19:28. You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves: I am the Lord. What part didn't you understand Got Questions?!

What amazes me about these discussions, is that they usually ignore the very specific command against them in the Old Testament, and then use very broad references like the one given. Obviously, not everything is permissible (even for Paul) otherwise he wouldn't have populated an entire list of sins in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep anyone out of Heaven. When he is taking about permissability, he is specifically talking about eating food that was dedicated to idols.

So should someone become a prostitute so they can reach prostitutes? (Absurd!) Likewise, should someone get a tattoo so they can reach people with tattoos? When Jesus came to the earth and willingly suffered and died for us (and then He bodily arose), He did NOT become sinners like us. So to assert that we have to do something the Bible forbids in order to reach others, does not make sense Biblically, nor does it make sense logically.

Permanent body art changes our natural appearance. Think about it like this it may be permissible but it’s like we are telling God that we want to change the way he made us; it’s saying he made a mistake , which we know God does not make mistakes . I had 2 tattoos done prior to being saved . I am not convicted by them but would I ever get more done. No!

Should you spray paint your favorite verse on the outside of the church? Obviously not, you don't own it. 1 Cor 6:20 "... for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body." Try spray painting verses on the Pastors car, see how pleased they are. "For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” 1st Corinthians 3:16-17. God is the potter, WE are the clay. He chooses our form and colors, as He chooses. We are all masterpieces of His creation, but what happens to the value of a masterpiece when someone puts graffiti on it??? It is not a salvation issue, but it IS a respect issue for both the temple and the creator of it. I appreciate him at least bringing the subject up. The graffiti you put on the Pastors car would also start conversations, does that mean you should do it? Just say no.
