2 years ago I had triple bypass surgery. I am very fortunate to be alive. During my recovery, my daughter purchased for me the Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease book and cook book. I adopted the vegan lifestyle, lost 30 pounds, and visit my local Whole Foods regularly to buy all the Engine 2 products they carry! It has truly changed my life and the lives of others around me. Thanks!

Good for you! Keep it up. I too have those 2 Books. I highly recommend “The China study cookbook” and the “Engine 2 cookbook” and Greger’s “How not to die” cookbook and textbook.

Jane and Ann, I absolutely love you both. I watched all your videos last night until midnight! I stumbled upon you after watching your dad/husband (with a tremendous amount of respect) on a few documentaries. He is the reason I went to a whole food, plant based diet. My husband and I are three weeks in and we feel amazing! It is our hope that we can age symptom free and continue to live a mind/body healthy life. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. I am eager to try these recipes!

Love to make homemade salsa. It is easy as everything is raw. And I use a garlic grater dish and to get the very last bit off the bowl I squeeze the 1/4 of a fresh lemon onto the dish when I have emptied it, to get the last of the lovely garlic and then all goes in the salsa. You need to get a garlic grater dish, you'd use it daily.

I am thinking it would be interesting to have something on the top three ways to cook black beans, for example? Or any beans? I like the sound of the potato bar. We do something similar with beans/lentils. Three different types of pulses. And it is always really interesting to find simple ways people prepare them. Our favourite is Ginger Black Beans: can of black beans, tamari to taste, 1 inch grated ginger, a little water. Combine in a pan, simmer and eat!

my favorite salad topping, I put a tablespoon of nutritional yeast, a little scoop of spirulina, the juice of 1 lime and a tablespoon of dijon mustard, the toss my kale and other veggies around in it for a bit, it is so DELICIOUS. Warning, , when you add sprirulina you get a very dark green color to the dressing and you will need a napkin to wipe your mouth, unless you like having green lips LOL.

Commercial egg production causes horrific suffering to the birds involved. The young chickens which are born male (which can't produce eggs of course) are tossed into a mechanical industrial grinder, whilst still alive and fully concious, not long after hatching. Free range eggs? In many places in our western 'civilisation' the egg producèrs only have to open the factory farm big doors - behind which the chickens are housed and densely packed - for one or two hours each day for the the producers to have the rights to call their eggs and chicken meat 'free range'. The poor animals usually stay put where they are indoors because they have no cognition of what outside means because they are so mind numbingly deprived of any semblence of a natural existance. 'Organically kept chickens oftentimes are deprived of effective veterinary treatments. Many die of easily treated diseases and, are lice and worm riddled. So injured many of them become they are just left to die slowly.

And they lay so many eggs in one year that they are completely exhausted and have to be slaughtered. They become too heavy too fast and have arthrosis and much pain. They seldomly live longer than 4 years even if they get everything they need. That is what mankind has done to these animals by breeding.
